So glad I read the reviews of this and the shorter arm. This length lets you stand sufficiently away from the wall while under it so you can move your arms, shoulders, etc. around and not bump into things.

Top quality - this shower arm is made of chrome - not plastic and has a good solid weight to it. Best price too! Arrived promptly and in great condition. Grohe makes a quality product and stands behind it.

Nice piece of shower extension arm. Hook up it to an 8 inch rain shower head and viola. A good and relaxing rain shower

Excellent quality. As others have said thick and heavy. Installs easily. Get some plumbers tape and you're off. One trick I picked off youtube: when installing insert the wrench handle inside the shower arm and twist. Works like a snap and no scratching!

Super quality and looks great. I installed this with a 10" American Standard rain shower head and it looks and works great. A bit pricey though but you get what you pay for.

We needed a 90 degree elbow instead of the 45 that came with our Moen shower system. This thing is great. Heavy walled, thick clean cut threads, and great finish. Suprising quality.

I swapped the 12 inch Grohe Shower Arm for their extended 16 inch arm to move my rain shower further away from the wall.

While this shower arm was a bit pricey, it was definately worth the money. Long extension gives you additional room in the shower and accomidates a large (in my case a 10 inch) show head. Quality is good, as one can expect from a Groche product. I highly recommend.
