An exact replacement
Fixed our Grohe kitchen faucet, which developed a leak around the base of the spout. Once I got the handle off, it was easy to remove the old cartridge and install this new replacement. I found all the information I needed on the internet, including the part number of the cartridge. Thanks Amazon for stocking it, and delivering it promptly!

A perfect replacement part
A perfect replacement part. Fixed a leak we had at the base of the spout. Several on line sources said that the cartridge did not cause leaks at the base of the spout. I checked the hose to the pull-out as they suggested and found was no leak. Replaced the cartridge and the leak is fixed.

I had a leaky grohe facucet and so bought this cartridge and the guide and slide ring, because that is what my contractor said to buy. It took him 15 minutes to replace the old, and now it is once again leak-proof.

Ceramic Cartridge for Grohe faucet does its job, but...
We thought that we had a major leak. It turned out to be the ceramic cartridge. We had a plumber come to replace it and in the process he broke a part. His company ordered a replacement part but the faucet never went back together correctly. The owner of the plumbing company has many conversations with Grohe to no avail. So, the faucet is back together and doesn't leak, but the mating surfaces don't mate. Pretty nuts for such an expensive faucet - The Grohe LadyLux Plus.

Remember to Wash it First
Exactly what we needed. You do have to take it out back and hose it down to remove residue left by the manufacture process otherwise it won't seal properly, but worked great for us.

An easy DIY item
Plumbing is something that do-it-yourselfers often find harder than they expected but Grohe cartridges are an easy DIY replacement if you carefully follow the pictorial directions in the box. You do need to make sure that you order the right one since not all Grohe products use the same cartridge. I have read that they last at least ten years; mine lasted fifteen before I needed to replace one, at which point I replaced the others just in case.
Two stars off because the pictures in the directions aren't really as big or as clear as they could or should be.

Solved the leaking from under the faucet without replacing the entire fixture. Apparently it is common for the Ladylux to have the cartridge wear out and cause mystery leaks.

Just what I needed
I ordered this as a replacement for a leaking valve on a Grohe Lav faucet that we have. It works perfectly. The original leaked due to freezing, not a failure of the cartridge. Amazing what you can find and fix on Amazon.
