Valve is correct replacement part and included all parts but was clearly not a new valve since the bag was ripped open.

Expensive, but just what I needed!
The local plumbing stores and every plumber I talked to couldn't find or didn't even know where to get these. They are expensive, but cheaper than tearing into the wall and replacing the whole unit.

Quality Control Questionable
Item was delivered on the date promised.
Balance Cartridge was sealed in plastic but upon opening it I noticed that one of the "O" rings on one of the entry ports was missing.
I had to re-use an old "O" ring from the replaced Balance Cartridge.
Since the New Balance Cartridge was sealed in plastic and in a manufacturers box, I can only surmise that quality control is somewhat lacking at Grohe.

Pressure Balance Valve Cartridge in Chrome
It is an exact replacement part for the original. No problem of leaking after the repair. It is a bit tricky to add on a tiny rubber ring to the chrome shaft before putting back the valve cover.Unfortunately, this tiny rubber ring does not come with part.

Worked Perfectly
I got this piece because my shower had stopped working and no stores carried Grohe supplies. I installed it immediately after getting it and my shower works perfectly again! BTW, I'm a first time homeowner that knows NOTHING about plumbing, but this was super easy to install.

Worked great
Worked like a charm to stop the slow leak coming from tub spout. Previous cartridge was 15 years old. Tried greasing o rings of old cartridge but didn't help, old o rings looked ok.
