Stellar deal .Using it for PS5
I got it for 10k at first I thought it was a price error . But to my suprise I got it the next day .read speed on my ps5 it was 5200+ which is above the recommended levels given by Sony for internal nvme drives in reality the actual speed is better games work and load faster than Sony’s internal drive . This model is listen in top 10 drives recommended by Sony themselves. It has heatsink pre installed and the price I got it was no brainier . So it’s working great installation was hassle free . All on all amazing product at amazing price 👌🏼👌🏼

Very fast
Got to say I was very impressed with this SSD. It solved many issues with gaming and window startup. My games used to stutter do to disk being at 100 percent. But thus ssd can read alot of Data preventing stuttering in game and very very good load time for games and windows start ups. Love this and easy to intall.

Great item…. BUT
It’s a great item, was so easy to instal into the PS5…. BUT watch out for which model they pick for your order. I ordered the 2TB and instead got the 1TB, huge difference in memory let alone money. It’s been over a month and it’s still in the return process, which is absolutely horrible. Still waiting for my $200 back smh

Good for a while then stops working
When I first got the product at installed it in my playstation 5. It worked fine for a while but then it just stopped working, it wasn’t showing up on my console anymore. Not sure if it was the drive or the console but either way I’m very disappointed

Good SSD for PS5 around 12k price point
SSD meets specs set by Sony for the PS5. Average read speed of 5800 on the PS5 and closer to 6800 on PC.
The heatsink seems to do its job well and is short enough to fit in the PS5 SSD bay and allow for closure of the SSD bay on the PS5.
Bought it at 10k during a random price drop. Surely VFM at this price point and the 5 year warranty is a nice bonus.

I don’t normally bother writing reviews but I had just got a PS5 and was very underwhelmed with the base storage on the system.
If you’re on the fence about whether or not you can figure out how to install this hard drive, do it. If I can do it, you definitely can.
Having this extra drive will make the entire lifespan of this console generation so much simpler!

Best PCI4 7GB/sec SSD Hands Down
Just buy this SSD in 2TB and look no further. Having used/tested multiple pci4 ssds in my system, found this one was:
1. The easiest to install, since it came preassembled with the heatsink
2. The coolest, idling at 31C at 20C ambient
3. The fastest in Benchmarked read (7400), write, (6850), and random IOPS (435k Read, 380k Write). This was using Samsung's Magician benchmark, as it was easy to run and should be an apples-to-apples comparison.
4. The best value at $380 for the 2TB on release.
This drive beat my previous Samsung 980 Pros (tried 2, both had heat issues and nearly melted my motherboard SSD heatsinks). It also outperforms a Sabrent Rocket 4.0 (non Plus) with a bundled heatsink; a nice looking, hefty feeling heatsink that didn't quite dissipate heat as expected due to poor contact and goopy heat tape.
No thermal throttling after an hour-long drive copy. In contrast, the Samsung 980 Pro was rated similarly and hit the advertised read/write (7000/5500) but performed worse in random IOPS and tended to thermally throttle. With that in mind, the price at $430 is just too high.
The Sabrent Rocket did ok thermally (idling at 40 and peaking at 60-70), but it's a much slower drive at 5000/3500, as it was in the first-gen of PCI4 drives. At $420, it seems like the price needs an update).

Easy to install, works great
I picked this drive because it comes with the (required in PS5) integral heat sink. Installation is simple, takes 5 minutes. The check showed higher than required transfer speeds. An overall great add on for the PS5

I bought the 2TB for my PS5 and I got 5400 mb/s, I see some of you got more speed. I don't know why.
But at least I'm able to play my PS5 games on it. Some game loading speeds may differ by about 15-30 secs sometimes. That's really strange. For example, GTA V PS5 version loading speed was about 42 secs on internal and about 40 secs on the GIGABYTE AORUS. But sometimes later the loading speed went to 1min 15 secs.

i havnt run benchmarks but my pc recognizes the stick, albeit minus the small amount you lose on any storage device, and it seems to run the same as my wd m.2 stick.

Great drive for PS5
Wanted a drive to use on my Playstation 5 to extend the internal storage. Was in the process of ordering the Firecuba 350 and the Western Digital sn850, which was significantly more expensive, and ten this drive was announced as compatible with the PS5, so I ordered it immediately.
It arrived after a few days and I got it hooked up in my PS5 within about 10 minutes. The ps5 is happy with it and it confirms it's more than fast enough so I downloaded some games and gave it a solid few days of play to test.
Perfect, no issues, no performance difference, it's just as fast than the integrated storage.
I finally have more than 750gb storage!
I definitely recommend this drive, and it's great that it comes with a heatsink as required by the PS5.

simple installation on ps5
this is probably the best performing 1tb ssd that's sold with the heatsink included at this price range. it takes about 2 minutes for physical installation on ps5 if you watch an instruction video. formatting was almost instant, and then it took about another 3-4 minutes to transfer 500gb of ps5 games from the stock drive to this one. all games run fine and load fine, some even feel slightly faster than before. I've had zero issues in the 3 weeks that I've been using it. everything from returnal, genshin impact, to horizon forbidden west all load as you'd expect them to or even better than they would from the stock drive.

Works as advertised
Used it for a new build. RW are crazy fast. Too bad that I had to take the heat sink off because it would get in the way of my Noctua CPU cooler.

Great drive for the money
My first drive was DOA. Sent it back my second drive was working. It’s a great NVMe drive for the money and it does work but it’s not rated at 7000 more as of 5000 But it’s still rated for the PS5.

Использую в PS5 уже 2 года
Тест на скорость чтения составлял 6000 МБ / с на ps5, если я правильно помню. Никаких проблем с играми с момента установки на ps5 2 года назад. Прост в установке, и вам не нужно беспокоиться о покупке отдельного радиатора, так как он уже установлен. Продукт настоятельно рекомендуется для дополнительного хранения на ps5.

Definitely works with PS5!
Got the drive and installed it in my PS5. Initially the console said it couldn't format the drive to use and I got a bit worried, but after opening the PS5 back up and removing and reinstalling the drive then it had no problems at all. Transferred my library of 5 PS5 games over to the drive in just a couple minutes, runs just as fast as internal storage!

1st thing you’re buying after getting a PS5
Installs easy. Works as designed. Performance? Hard to tell because while it seems marginally faster than whatever ‘console’ storage is on a PS5, I didn’t get close to what the manufacturer claims (or what some other PS5 owners claim) and I am inclined to think it’s a PS5 issue. So, it exceeded Sony requirements and when I clicked load/run times for the same game before and after moving from ‘console’ storage to this device they did seem to run faster by about 5% or so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ YMMV. Overall, if this continues to perform the same, I’m satisfied that what I paid for 1TB was worth the price.

Quality control is bad; seems I'm not the only one not getting full speeds on PS5
I bought this strictly because it advertises itself as ready for PS5. On my first format+speed test after installation it had a read speed of around 3800 MB/s read. I re-formatted again and all 5300 MB/s which is where it is now. I've clearly seen others getting 6500-6800, so that's quite a bit off from it's 7000 MB/s advertised speeds.
Now this is covered under warranty, but I have to pay for shipping to Gigabyte to get it fixed, so it's kind of costing more buying refurbished because they seemingly never fully tested it so it runs as it should. It technically works fine with my games, but I just don't think this was a great experience with Gigabyte.

Decent, if overpriced.
Decent. I do wish 2TB was more affordable instead of 1TB so I'm only giving it 3 stars for Storage Capacity, and 3 Stars for Value, but overall I'd say 4 stars is fair. If you're buying it and sticking it in a PS5, it works well, runs well, and you probably won't encounter any issues with it. It's just too expensive for me to give 5 stars.

Я купил это с уверенностью, что этот nvme совместим с ps5, и хотя он действительно работал в течение нескольких месяцев, даже к концу года моя ps5 не включалась или не включалась неправильно, и причиной был этот накопитель. Как только я снял его, моя ps5 снова заработала.

Умер - не удается получить доступ к какой-либо информации на диске! ОБНОВЛЕНИЕ: замена.
Я использовал это в новой сборке и использовал в основном детали AORUS, чего бы это ни стоило. Это оказалось в продаже, и характеристики были хорошими - так что я решился на это. Это должно было стать моим главным стремлением. Установил на него Windows 11, и все было в порядке. Очень доволен скоростью и производительностью.
Затем я отправился в поездку на несколько недель - вернулся, и мой компьютер вышел из строя. Странно, подумал я. Win 11 предпринял попытку восстановления - потом ничего. Мой гигабайт AORUS Pro MB вообще не смог подключиться к твердотельному накопителю AORUS. Не увидел этого в BIOS - даже пробовал перейти на новый слот. Купил устройство чтения M.2, чтобы посмотреть, смогу ли я восстановить его на другом компьютере. Совсем не повезло. Вообще не смог его прочитать. Потерял все! Не удалось даже восстановить файлы с диска. Совершенно нечитаемо. С тех пор безуспешно пытаюсь связаться со службой поддержки Gigabyte. Сейчас я несчастлив. Обновлю, если мне удастся получить гарантийную замену. Было бы неплохо, если бы они смогли восстановить данные с моего диска... но я не задерживаю дыхание...

This 2TB M.2 SSD is for your PS5!
It's exactly as advertised. Installation is easy, you get a great read speed that's imperceptible to the internal storage and you get the full 2TB that the SSD comes with. With games getting bigger, I opted for the 2TB version due to the convenience of having all my favorite games downloaded rather than constantly deleting them. Only downside was shipping was extremely pricey but they sent an adorable letter so I'm not too upset since it arrived in perfect condition and got exactly as advertised. If you're looking for an SSD for your PS5 and don't want to deal with installing/shopping for a heatside alongside it, this is a good pick up if you can find one with reasonable shipping prices.

Идеально подходит для PS5
Он идеально подходит для PS5 и отлично работает. Скорость чтения, определяемая PS5, составляет 6557 МБ / с. Форматирование прошло без проблем, и я установил несколько игр для тестирования, и все они работают без сбоев. Я думал об этом по сравнению с Samsung или WD Black и остановился на этом из-за встроенного радиатора. Сейчас проблема заключается в доступности и цене, и я считаю, что 185 долларов США должны быть разумной ценой за этот продукт.

PS5 for the Win
I bought the SSD to expand the PS5 storage. I could have found a cheaper option but didn't want to buy a separate heat sink. Easy to install and update on PS5. This is my first GIGABYTE SSD, but have bought a few GIGABYTE motherboards in the past. My only comment, like everyone else, would of nice if it was cheaper or gave us more storage for the same price. Other than that, happy with the purchase. Would buy it again.
