I previously had the coated one, and I liked it for a long time - but the coating got a bit melted (we didn't realize it was coated and set hot pot on it) and it deteriorated quickly. Awful looking, and impossible to clean... I didn't want to buy a new one to have the same thing happen. I love that I can set hot pots on this too cool (not too hot as I don't wish to warp my pans should they come into contact with cold water) The only drawback that I notice is that it's a bit louder, surprised me at first, but really to be expected since it's not coated :-)

Not only does this protect the bottom of the sink from dings, it becomes an essential work surface for cleaing. In addition, because the Orca is a deep sink the grid raises the work surface just enough so that you are not bending over and reaching down to the bottom. This saves your back, yet the extra depth of the sink minimizes splashing. This really is a very intelligent design. I though it was a frivolous luxury, but it is an essential item to make the sink truly sing!

Bought this to replace my old one. My old one was coated and you couldn't pour hot water on it. This one is just stainless steel so you can drain pasta or whatever you need over it. It's a little smaller than the original one so there is a little room between the grid and the walls of the sink.

This sink grid isn'e plastic coated, so you can place hot pans onto it. Its functional and beautiful. Easier to clean than the one with the coating on it.

The grid fits perfectly in my Franke stainless steel sink. My only complaint would be that the grid openings are far apart so items either topple over of fall through. Otherwise, the rack is solid and has plastic protective coatings where it meets the sink.

I bought as a replacement. The original one was plastic coated which wore done. This one is just metal and is a little clanky.

I had a rack like this but had plastic coating on it. Over time it looked awful & dirty.
Finally I replaced it with this un-coated rack. First one I got had shipping damage. Got the replacement today, well packaged and perfect shape.
Love this rack. It compensates for slope in the sink; It sits flat. I can soak casserole pans & cookie sheets with water up to the brim all around.
If you own this Franke sink, you need to get this rack!

I love these grids. I had them in all of my sinks. I just wish you make the spaces a little smalle so cups could be put upright and silverware doesn’t fall into the holes.

The Franke Orca Sink Grid is an exact fit for the Franke Orca sink. It protects the sink bottom yet leaves plenty of clearnace for dishes and pots that are placed in the sink.
I am heeding the advice of other reviews and keeping hot pots from touching the grid. I let my pots cool before placing in the sink. I would also suggest being extra careful with sharp implements such as chef knives when you place them on the grid. The plastic coating can be cut by the sharpness of the knives.
I think with proper care this item should last a long time. It is very expensive but worth the value of protecting an expensive sink.

Sooooo glad we spent the money on this to go in our new Orca sink. Hated to spend the money buy worth it for sure. Would buy again if I needed to. I only wish it came with the Orca sink for the price, but worth it because very good quality and very helpful (especially with kids).

Очень плохая модель
- + Мойка хорошая, большая, массивная, 8кг. Нравится. Но, не судьба.
- - Продавец-отправитель - отвратителен.
Мойка приобреталась за полную стоимость (14356руб) - не уценённый. Мойка отправлена продавцом уже в повреждённом состоянии. Отколотый угол грубо примотан скотчем по периметру (скотч явно не с завода). Сама упаковка повреждена и перемотана скотчем. Жалко потраченного времени и сорванных планов. Теперь ждём возврата стоимости от Яндекса в течении 10 суток.

- + Вместительность!!! Ну ооочень много грязной посуды вмещает, + удобно входят для мытья габаритные предметы (противень, сковородки, кастрюли).
