I picked these up for speed and because my old stand by pliar type strippers do not go below 18 AWG.
The depth measurement, though in metric, really helps with repeatability. Hint to adjust them easily pinch on the outside of the stop. I always end up going back between metic and SAE in projects so I've gotten I've to the depth. It may be handy for you to convert them and write it down on a card or something. This repeatability will save me a lot of time. I only have to measure the distance on one wire for a connector vs every wire on my pliar type.
I primarily use stranded wire, I've used these on speaker wire and various pvc coated primary wires so far. With zip wire and speaker wire, you will need to split it a bit more than with a plier type just to keep the other wire out of the mechanisms.
I used them on 20AWG to 10 AWG. I only nicked the copper one time because I went to fast. I only failed to strip with it when I tried to strip zip wire without separating them so I cannot count that against them.
Be aware the cutter is not the cleanest and it WILL NOT ACCEPT 10AWG.

First off, don't sweat that this tool is made of plastic. It's fiber reinforced plastic and pretty tough. The built in cutter is nice for quick wire end leveling and clean up. No need to pick up another tool. The stripping mechanism is simple and works very well. The only reason I have to deduct 1 star is that anytime I set and use the strip length stop, the stripper never clears the spent wire casing. I have to stop to pluck it out. I'm using it on 16awg to 12awg tinned marine wire, so this type of wiring jacket may just be the cause.
Overall, it's still a great wire stripper, very light weight, and easy to line up and focus your cutting. Ergonomically speaking, hands down, its the best wire stripper design out there. If they could design in a spring lever to eject the wire casing on the return open, then it easily go Smithsonian level great.

I’ve been an automotive mechanic for 30yrs,and know quality tools.I had a similar blue point (snap on) wire stripper for years that work flawlessly until I borrowed it,and never saw it again.I purchased a few other similar design wire strippers,but the quality wasn’t there.I purchased this tool because it’s made in Germany,and not some third world country.So far it has outperformed all others I’ve used,will likely buy another to keep at the lake.

I used these today to strip some very short 12gauge wires in a box to pigtail using Wago Lever Nuts! I couldn't have done this without them, since I'm a DIYer. Also, it's hard to see the length indicator on the lever nuts, but knowing it's 11mm, all I had to do was to set it and go. I hope these hold up, but even if they don't I've saved the cost of having a professional come, so they were worth it. Make a great pair with the lever nuts.
The only downside is that they don't strip long enough pieces to make loops that fit around the screws in receptacles, etc. But still worth every penny.

Struggles to constantly clean strip 22 AWG. Does well on 16 and 18 AWG.
Does not cut into the wire on any of the three sizes I use most.
Small size and short pull distance of handle make this easy to use.

Fits into tight places and strips accurately. The depth setting is great and allows multiple consistent strips. Unlike some of the Klein strippers I have, it doesn't nick the wires.

Not everyone wire stripping. One brand, one awg just different colors. One stripped good another only sometimes good.
