- + Хороший внешний вид и родной софт со множеством настроек
- - Скорость, но что можно требовать от старой 32-х разрядной шины PCMCIA?

- - встречается 4 или 5 типов
в зависимости от этого разные дрова, читы и вероятность смерти
с ubuntu 8.10 8.04 не дружит
дрова родные не компилятся
с виндой же все хорошо. Даже когда сигнал "очень низкий" - инет работает

I got this D-link wireless pc card quickly, and nicely packaged. I have been using it without any problems on my two Sony Vaio laptops. Set up was easy too, just install the included driver. I am using it with Windows XP. I am very satisifed, works surprisingly well for inexpensive PC card. Have no problem connecting via Wi-Fi to my Netgear router. I plan to buy another one instead of switching on card back and forth. Highly recommended.

Bought this card because the onboard Wireless-B on my old Thinkpad was starting to become unreliable. After reading the numerous warnings about the terrible driver support for this card, I was quite careful when installing it. Some things I did that helped:(1) Disable the existing wireless card. They both use IRQ 11, so there was a chance they would interfere with each other.(2) After installing the 3.05 drivers I downloaded from D-Link (the drivers on the provided CD are version 3.01) I immediately uninstalled the D-Link Wireless software (not the actual driver part) and let Windows manage the connections. Vendor written wireless management software almost always conflicts with Windows. I had the same issue with the IBM software that came with the integrated adapter on my laptop.After a few reboots, my card was up and running smoothly. It's faster, but more importantly, it finds my home network immediately without me having to search for it or repair my connection.I'm amazed that after 4 years, my old Thinkpad R50 is still usable. At this rate, the LCD is going to have to die before I replace it...

I've got an older laptop, dual-booting XP Pro and Kubuntu 8.04. Booted into XP, installed the drivers, installed the card, and everything works just fine. Booted into Kubuntu with the card still inserted, and didn't even have to install anything -- the card was recognized, configured, and surfing instantly.I would highly recommend this card for Linux users...

This card worked out of the box on my laptop running Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) Ubuntu 7.10 (PC Edition).It was recognized as:Ethernet controller [0200]: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR2413 802.11bg NIC [168c:001a] (rev 01)Subsystem: D-Link System Inc AirPlus G DWL-G630 [1186:3b08]Have not any issues for two weeks (in contrast to the acx100-based card I had before).

This product is amazing! It is really fast. Worth the price. I have tried many other products for internet connectivity but their quality is really cheap (USB adapters, ...) They started to work really fast in the beginning but then eventually over the period of a month, the internet connectivity became slow. One of the USB adapter I had even broke apart. I have this product from a while, and the internet connectivity never slowed down. The internet connectivity with this adapter is way faster than the laptop built in cards. This product is worth its price and is very useful!
