When I ordered this 8GB RAM, I was skeptical whether it would be compatible with my Samsung NP300E5C-A0CUS laptop. As soon as it arrived by mail, I opened the package and installed it in my laptop. I upgraded the 4GB RAM to 12GB (4GB + 8GB). Then restarted the laptop with fingers crossed. It took a few seconds more to boot (only the first time). I thought something was wrong with the RAM. Nope, nothing was wrong. Windows 8 loaded without any problems.There are two slots in my laptop for RAM. I installed the new 8GB RAM in the first slot with 4GB RAM (the one that came with the laptop) in the second slot. The laptop was really slow. When I switched from one application to another application, the speed at which the screen refreshed was slow. Then I swapped the RAMs with the new 8GB RAM in the second slot. The laptop was really fast. I am not sure what's going on.One thing I should mention here in the review. I tried the same RAM on my Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop. This laptop has Intel Core I5 processor. Windows 7 Pro did not load. The laptop froze on the windows startup screen.Anyway this RAM works fine in my new Samsung laptop and I am happy about it.

I've had my laptop (Sony Vaio F series - which has 8 HT cores so it's a pretty decent mobile machine) for a while and when I was running VMs and found it was struggling and swapping to disk a lot. This has got progressively worse over time as various patches to the base host windows OS have been installed. I was contemplating just buying a new computer but was dreading having to reinstall all the software I have on my current machineIt came with 4GB of memory by default and in the manual it indicated it could be upgraded to 8GB. I suspected that this was because 8GB DDR was not available when the manual was written. So I thought I'd try a couple of these as a simpler solution before spending another $2K on a new machine. Popped the old DDRs out and installed the new ones and now have 16GB in my laptop and it works like a charm. Memory clipped in easily and the performance metrics show no degradation in performance compared to the originally installed memory.The performance of the computer overall is improved greatly now, as there was less swapping from memory to disk particularly when running multiple applications - nice simple upgrade.

So I ordered this RAM module because it was a lightning deal on amazon on black friday. My computer said it can accept max 8GB of RAM but didn't specify if it would only accept 2x4GB or 1x8GB. So I tried selling it back to other people because I thought that it wouldn't work. I then said f*** it, I'll put it in my laptop anyways. Surprisingly it works, and it runs on ~1.28V consistently according to Speccy. Maybe it runs 1.35V on max load, but I have yet to find an application that forces RAM to be on max load. I tried adding my old RAM back in so I would get 12GB RAM, but it would only recognize the 8GB. Most likely its my hardware limitation or 1.5V regular RAM doesn't work together with low voltage 1.35V RAM. Crucial is usually a little bit overpriced, but has consistent quality as always. Too bad my CPU limits the RAM speed to 1066 speeds instead of the full 1333, but either way its not a noticeable difference as I've heard from other forums.

I bought this RAM after I bought the Komputerbay RAM for my MBP. After I installed the Komputerbay RAM within 5 minutes my MBP crashed. This happened a few more times before I removed the Komputerbay RAM and sent them back.I ordered this RAM after reading all the reviews on MBP and how it recognized the 16GB of RAM. I was a little skeptical about if it would work or not. After it arrived to my door, I installed it, reset my PRAM and VRAM on boot up, logged onto my computer and checked the system info. It did recognize that I had 16GB of RAM in my computer. I then ran several hard running programs at the same time on my computer and it never slowed down. The MBP has yet to use in page out and is still running strong with out a single crash.This was installed in a 15.4" MacBook Pro 2.0Ghz i7 processor running Mountain Lion. I would recommend this to anybody that wants to boost the speed of their MBP. I am going to also get the Crucial M4 512 GB SSD soon.

I bought a lot of memory rams from Crucial for my desktop and laptops. I got a new laptop its sony vaio T series although it been listed on the description the max ram is 8 GB but after searching webs i found that the laptop support 12 GB (4 gb fixed on board + 8gb) so I decided to give this ram a shoot and its works very well new I can confirm that Sony Vaio T laptop support 12GB in total. with this low voltage ram according to CPU-Z its acting as 1.28v on my board which it the same voltage with stock 2 gb that came with the laptop (6GB) which is good. I hope this ram list for long. thank you Amazon for best price and fast shipping.

I've used several Crucial memory cards before, so I never had any concerns with performance or fit. I received it on time, and within 15 minutes, had it snapped into my laptop. The laptop recognized it immediately, and I'm off and running. Crucial and Amazon are both highly recommended.

I got two of these for my Macbook Pro 2011 model and they work great. Things are running much faster now, especially when I have my VMWare open with a Win 7 going. Since I have gotten this I haven't gone over 10GB of ram usage in my iStatsMenu reporting. Great price for these too!Tip: If you want to make sure this will work for your model of computer, visit [...] where you can scan your system and it will tell you the exact part number you need. Then come back to Amazon and get it for cheaper than anywhere else.
