Wonderful After-Dinner Chocolate Mints
In all of my years on Earth, I've never eaten a York Peppermint Patty. For some reason the idea of chocolate and mint turned my stomach and made me feel sick. As a young teen, my big sister bought me chocolate/mint candy for Christmas and it hurt her so much when I was grossed out of the idea of eating them. Since then I tried hard to get used to eating chocolate and mint. I started with plain mint candies, moved on to mint tea and a few decades later I was eating an After-Eight mint once in a blue moon. Another decade passed and I got a hankering to try these York's. Bought 2 boxes and was going to learn to love them. No problem, I love these things!
This is over 5 pounds of candy! It has a convenient opening in the box so you can open and close it easily, and grab a candy when you want. It would be great for office (or home) settings. I took my first candy and looked at it. It has
shiny silver Mylar around the candy and notches to easily tear the packet open. It's dark chocolate coated, about the size of a silver dollar and about 4 quarters thick. I took my first bite, the inside mint part is white, firm yet soft (not liquidy or oozy like other types of chocolate covered mints I've had), and the candy melts in your mouth. These are addictive and the mint is perfect -- Although I would like if they could make an extra mint flavor as well. One is good, two is delightful and three will fill you up; any more than that and it's over-kill (ask me how I know). I love these in the evening after dinner. They are refreshing and seems to settle my stomach after the evening meal.
I wasn't sure how others would like these but one night I brought a bundle to Bible study class and everyone LOVED them...they were gone really fast. Those 2 boxes are going quickly and I just ordered 2 more. They are a nice treat to bring as a gift or to hand out to others. Make sure you keep enough for yourself.

Wow this is a good deal. The box is huge, and the authentic mints arrived in good condition.
The wrappers are foil. Taste great.
This is going to take some time to eat through.
Update 7-6-17
I am now on my third box order and all is well. For summer it comes heavily insulated and ice packs.

Like having your own convenience store...
A business was actually founded having people put these boxes in business offices, hoping that the employees would actually pay on the honor system. Sure...Well, you trust yourself so you can buy these mints for home use. The great thing is they're individually wrapped so you don't have to worry about bugs, plus you can just have 1 or 2. They are the epitome of rich minty flavor, a nonpareil candy experience. With self-control, you can have them out providing candy goodness for quite some time. The problem only arises when you take the box into your TV or computer room, start enjoying them without stopping, and take in way too many. I confess I've done that, and the months long presence of this candy box turned into days. Guilty as charged...

Being a dark chocolate nut case I've had a thing about YORK Peppermint patties for years. This size container makes satisfying my craving a bargain! Now a word of caution: If you buy this product during the time of year it is hot, get the box out of the heat ASAP. Though the product is well insulated and three ice packs are thrown in for good measure chocolate just doesn't fair well in prolonged heat. Enjoy!

Great when at a good price
The price fluctuates! [ your over paying at $24.99 ]
So this is a review for when its NOT at the $24.99, I paid less then $12 for my last order, I would like to order it again but at the moment, at its $24.99 price, I will not, seeing in other reviews that they mention the fluctuation as well, I will be keeping an eye out for the price to drop to the better price close to $12, then I'll buy enough to last me during the time when its at the high price of $24.99,
Price fluctuation aside, the candy it self is a nice thing to have around the house, oddly goes nicely with a cup of tea, and being able to grab a couple just buy reaching out and getting some from the easy to open flap, makes things super convenient, the flavor it perfect, taste so good, they are like chips, or crisps, its hard to have just one, I really like this product, I hope to see the price drop back down to its better price.
The only downside, is that I've ordered two now and neither have shipped with a ice pack, thankfully I time the order with days that I'll be home, so its not left outside long enough to melt, but I can see it being an issue for those that can't time the delivery.

This Review is for the Shipping
I am so impressed with the way this box of York Peppermint Patties arrived. I opened the cardboard box and found a sealed styrofoam ice chest. I opened the ice chest and the patties were inside the ice chest with a large industrial ice pack which was still cold. I was already getting free shipping, and now all of this on top of that! So now I have an ice chest, which I will reuse, and a high quality ice pack, which I will reuse as well. Usually sellers just throw the item in a box, with little to no packaging, so this was a nice surprise! Thank You!!!

Y U M M Y !
These little mints are absolutely addicting ! This is my 2nd order for two boxes since 10/23/17. Still eating from the last box of first order but at this price I wanted to make sure I had plenty in stock especially for the Holiday Season. The boxes measure approximately 12" tall by 6" squared, pretty good sized box. The expiration date on this last order is 8/2018--they'll be long gone by then :) If the price stays consistent I will continue ordering these. Would recommend these.

Great product ! But....
Fast shipping, fresh, tastes great. Ordered in early March 2018, and paid $15. I was planning to re-order today (April 18th) and the price has gone up to $25 !!! Needless to say I won't reorder. Very disappointed.

So big a package, I had to hide it out of pure shame!
An amazing deal at $15!!! You know when you order something and have a mental picture of what you’re gonna get? Well I wasn’t paying too close attention when I ordered this and did not mentally note this was a package of 175 patties. So I get this rather large and heavy package arrive, and I can’t figure out what it could be. When I opened it, and discovered the immensity of this “little treat” I was so embarrassed that my gluttony would be revealed to my flat mate, I had to hide it in my closet immediately. I ate about 10 of them on the first day and they are fresh and delicious as expected. I really like the stiff texture of the mint part of these. They are so much nicer than the sticky runny kind of center that most chocolate mints have. Needless to say, I am very happy with my purchase (aside from feeling some measure of psychological disturbance around possessing such a shameful amount of personal sweets).

Great candy but arrives melted!
I love yorks and have been buying them from amazon for a few years now. Up until this year, the candies came in Styrofoam box with dry ice. For some reason (I'm guessing cost), Amazon began shipping these out with in either a plain cardboard box or a plain Styrofoam box.
I've now had 5 boxes in a row arrive melted. At this point, it's not even worth the hassle of exchanging them or the cost savings of not buying them at the store. I was hoping at some point the would revert to using dry ice again, but that obviously isn't going to happen.
