Great car seat except for one major point. The seat material, straps, and auto-leveling bubble are an upgrade to the older Advocate we own. The ruggedness and safety are outstanding as to be expected from Britax. All that being said, I gave it 3 stars for the way they've integrated the LATCH system. You don't have those long black buckles with the red release buttons permanently attached anymore. Now it's a strap with a clip that you feed through the ClickTight system. The clips are a PAIN to remove! You've really got to root around the seat cushions to attach and detach this clip as opposed to just pressing the older version's red release on the buckles. Also, I actually had to loosen the LATCH strap in order to close the "lid" on the ClickTight system since I tightened the strap like you're supposed to (without ClickTight). (It was a bit of trial and error, but I got the tension so it doesn't move an inch.) If you're moving this car seat in and out of your car often and expect to use LATCH system for baby/toddler, then I wouldn't recommend it. We leave the seat in the car for 3-4 months and I vacuum around it thanks to our seat protector. You'll have to deal with this issue until your child+seat equals 65 lbs or you don't want to use the LATCH system.

To Britax, if you read these reviews: Personally I think you went cheap on the design by not incorporating the LATCH buckles permanently on the seat and focused your design around the ClickTight system and use of car seat-belt shoulder straps. You could have easily made the stowage compartment for the LATCH strap and clips into a stowage area for a permanently attached (and non ClickTight) buckles. This would have greatly aided parents in installing and removing the car seat using the no-brainer LATCH system.

I just installed and used this car seat with my 1 1/2 year old yesterday. I don’t find this car seat to be that much heavier than any other seat we’ve had at all. The smaller footprint of 18” in VERY nice, and it seems to also provide a lot more leg room as well. We have an older expedition and you could easily fit 3 of these all the way across. The clicktight installation is an absolute DREAM. When you have blowouts and vomit, or you need to remove the seat often, this is the seat you want to have! I found you need to release the seatbelt before you try and open the clicktight once installed, mainly because it is so nice and tight. The harness height adjustment is very easy. The loosening & tightening of the harness over my child is SO easy and I found that if you take a second and actually tuck the harness straps into the harness strap holder opening when you’re releasing your child it really makes a world of difference in both securing your child again and preventing the straps from tangling. I have 5 kids and used many seats, the issue of tangling is just inevitable, but this is the first seat that has an area just for holding the straps and that to me is super. I read many reviews about the short crotch strap. Yes, it’s shorter than a lot of seats but not by much and really, who cares? Just loosen more of the harness straps. Quite frankly it looks safer not having such a long strap coming up and my kids are huge-all of them. I have no issue with fit due to the crotch strap. The clicktight harness tightening is a bit unreliable, I find it clicks almost immediately when I begin tightening the harness but it’s no big deal, I just end up hearing the click a few times before I know it’s tight enough. It may sound silly but it’s nice to actually have the click sound. Regardless of how many clicks it takes to fully tighten, it makes Me feel better knowing and seeing that with each click it’s tightening another “notch” vs blindly pulling and kind of feeling around and wondering if it’s even tightening like every other seat I’ve had. I love the leveling bar on the seat, it makes it so easy to know that it’s level and you’re not trying to guess if the seat is level based on some silly “marker” on the side of the seat. My only issue with that is the words are in English only on one side of the seat, and it’s not the side I see when I look at my car seat. Lol. I had to go to the other side of my car to see the leveling indicator words in English. It does not have cup holders and I’ve read a lot of complaints about that but we must use sippy cups in the early years that no one else does because none of our sippy cups ever fit in any either built in or attachable seat cup holders. We use the skip hop around the seat organizers which have cup holders, snack holders and even an iPad holder for organization of all that stuff. I also LOVE that the seat padding can be removed without any harness removal, and it’s also nice that it is in multiple pieces because not all messes go everywhere and I can just remove the sections I need to that are dirty. And even if you have to remove the whole seat who cares, this thing is a dream to install and uninstall compared to any other seat on the market. Even though it is not recommended to wash the padding in the washing machine I will probably end up doing that at some point anyway. It’s not going to ruin it I’m sure, and the mfg just says not to if you want the seat covers to hold up well the 10 years or whatever. Use a delicate cycle. If you have time to hand wash I’ll bet this thing is super easy to do so though, but for me with 5 kids I am just not going to always take or have the time for that. No big deal. I wish I’d bought this seat a long time ago.

This car seat is amazing! When I seen the Britax was to release an all in one in the fall I could not wait to get my hands on one! I’ve always wanted to try a Britax but veered away due to the fact that most of their seats are hand-wash only. So when they released this seat with their SafeWash material I was so excited. The ClickTight feature is just amazing! I can get the car seat installed in under two minutes and that’s with adjusting to the correct angle. I wish they would have came out with this seat two years ago. The hours I’ve spent trying to install and uninstall a car seat over the last two years is just ridiculous. Again, I cannot stress how easy it was to get a secure installation in just seconds! The only “issue” that I’ve had thus far is that the harness is really hard to tighten. Our previous all in one seat was really hard to tighten in the beginning but over time it became easier so I’m hoping that’s the same scenario here. Overall I 100% recommend this seat especially if you are going to be taking it out of your car often. It’s a breeze!

This seat is amazing!
Our little fella is now 16 months and 28+ pounds. He rides well in this seat with no complaints of being uncomfortable. He isn’t sweaty when we take him out of the seat.

He did get sick one day while I was driving with him alone (super scary!).
The seat was easy to clean and looks AND SMELLS amazing even after a huge mess!

I really like the fact that it is easy to install. When he is super tired I am able to adjust in the recline (while staying within the guidelines) to something a little more comfortable for snoozing.

Love this seat! Worth every penny!

Just wish it came with the anti rebound bar...
Seems crazy to spend another $55 - especially during a pandemic when we don’t travel often or far.

Bottom line - BUY THIS SEAT!

We have had the replacement seat for a little over three months.
Return of the original seat was super easy via Kohl’s. The new seat came on time and in perfect condition.

Our chunk lives this seat!

He is super comfortable.
It is amazingly easy to install via the lower anchors.
Our little one was always sweaty in the infant seat but that hasn’t been a problem in this one.
He can see out well so he is happy - maybe he doesn’t feel trapped?
Getting him in and out of the seat is easy since the straps stay off to the sides well and the center buckle stays forward so I’m not fumbling for it and struggling with a mobile baby at the same time.

If we had the extra funds I would purchase a second one for our Subaru!

Moving this seat around is rather cumbersome as it is heavy and awkward for me to move (I’m 5’1” and 110 pounds). The thought of carrying it inside the house makes me cringe but it is a stationary seat so that isn’t a problem.

It feels sturdy. When I put him in the seat I know he is safe. I love the padding at the head and couldn’t ask for more from a seat!

Other than the straps pull uneven if you yank them from one side I haven’t had any trouble with this seat. Easy fix - pull both straps as it is a Y type system. It’s easy to fix by pulling the shorter strap to adjust until even.

Overall - we love this seat! TOTALLY worth the investment!

We ordered this seat for our nearly 22lb 6 month old as (we gave out Chicco KeyFit to our daughter) our son was uncomfortable in his infant seat on rides lasting longer than 15 minutes. He is just too wide to be comfortable in the Chicco KeyFit.
**We loved the KeyFit and would have kept him in it until he reached the maximum height and weight if he wasn’t a short stocky little chunk!

I was so excited for this seat to arrive and have a comfortable seat for a little guy. Thank goodness I noticed this screw before installing this seat in my car!! I have no idea if a screw is missing from the inside components of the seat or if an extra one somehow managed to get trapped during manufacturing...

I have Amazon sending a replacement that will arrive Monday (this seat came Saturday evening - it now 8am Sunday morning). I am now trapped at home until the new seat arrives. Amazon said they couldn’t get a replacement to me today.

I will update once we get the replacement. After all of this I hope the seat lives up to the hype.

I’m so disappointed in this car seat. We exclusively used Britax in the past and got this for our daughter along with a Clek Liing to use during infancy. If you look up the review on BabyGearLab, this seat scored a 3/10 on the same crash tests done by the NHTSA. Had I known, I would have gone for the similar Graco version which scored 9/10 (the best in class) instead. We will be getting rid of this seat and purchasing the Graco when she outgrows the Liing (safest infant car seat). Really bummed we didn’t know earlier!

My daughter loves this car seat. She is so much more comfortable in this seat vs her standard infant seat. We love the cup holders and plush fabric! My only complaint is that the recline feature is very hard to use when the child is buckled in. Overall I give this car seat 5 stars!

I got this car seat after we were in a car accident and needed to replace our Britax Be-Safe infant car seat. My son was on the verge of outgrowing the infant seat so instead of getting another infant seat, I decided to try this one. It was so easy to install and honestly feels so much more secure and locked in place than an infant seat attached in a base. The car seat seems extremely sturdy (it's built like a tank)! I also like how the design doesn't have you searching for leg buckles. The buckles don't hide like they do in other models. The seat is also super easy to recline to a position that suits your baby. I really can't say enough good things about this car seat and have been very happy with it so far.

The only downside is that since it is built like a tank and really made to stay in the car, you lose the portability of an infant seat. I can't imagine waking a newborn up every time you wanted to run in an out of a store to put them in something else. My son is just big enough he can start sitting in the front of a shopping cart, but for the first few weeks I had this I was transferring him into another carrier to go into stores and that was a big pain.

Overall I love this car seat and would highly recommend it for babies who are old enough to sit on their own!

My husband was able to install it securely but there was nothing easy about it. I’m terrified for the first time we need to take it out. The seat has been great besides this the installation.

Super disappointed in this product so far in terms of installation. Britax markets this car seat as easy to install and secure. So far I’ve tried the LATCH system and the seat belt method and it’s still ridiculously loose. I’ve read the manual, moved it seats, tried numerous times. At this point I’m letting my husband have a go at it and hoping it’s user error. Otherwise we will be returning it.

Excellent product!!! My car was totaled and the insurance company said I could buy a new car seat that they would pay for, so I went all out and ordered what seemed like the best car seat. I installed it last night in the dark, it was tooo easy, at first I could not find the lap belt as it was in a pouch under the car seat (you have to open/lift a portion of the the car seat to fit the seat belt) after I found the very Sophisticated lap belt I installed the seat nice and snug, my baby fit in it and has a good recliner and head support, it looked too short and I was confused but there was a kind of push button to raise the heat portion and it was so easy while she was sitting on the seat I just pulled it up to fit her. This car seat is awesome, she fits in it very comfortably and it has a lot of cushion that makes me feel she will be safe in it. Best car seat I have seen so far. We had a nuna pipa car seat when she was born that was pretty awesome too. That cost me $700

This is the coolest car seat! Our son is large and was squished into his infant seat and very uncomfortable. By five months we were ready for this sweet and so happy it had just come out. It is rather large but very easy to transfer from car to car. Our son loves the seat! It is easy to get an in and out and he has enough room to play, look around and will easily sleep. The one thing I wish it had was the rebound bar apparently it is in the works but is not out yet. We could not be happier with the seat!!!

We absolutely LOVE this seat especially in comparison to the Safety 1st we were using! This seat is built like a tank!!!!! Safety features are top of the line! I have never owned a car seat that was so well built! You can easily tell that Britax spent time and research on how to make a safe, sturdy, comfortable, and great looking seat! I am hooked on Britax now for sure! The installation could not have been easier and most importantly, the seat locked TIGHT on the very first try!!!! Well worth every cent in my opinion. I was on the fence between this seat and the Graco 4in1 and I am so glad I spent the extra $80-100 on this seat because it is exactly what I have been looking for! It has the ability to rear face up to 50 lbs which means my LO can RF for another 15 lbs and this is the ONLY SEAT on the market that I could find that has the capability of RF'ng to 50 lbs. The ClickTight feature is literally a dream come true! So simple to strap the vehicle's seat belt across and secure the seat! BAM!!! No more having to adjust the harness straps as these straps move up and down with the head rest! Beautifully designed and super comfy! We purchased the "Drift" color as I thought the black may get really hot during the summer months. I give this Britax seat 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Keep up the great work Britax!!!!! Product delivered very quickly, in excellent condition just as advertised. Am excited to use the product and will write another review once we have properly installed the device. Preliminarily, it is extraordinarily frustrating that the user instructions are in Spanish down one entire side of the product. This is the outward facing side on the vehicle seat where I need to install the product. I would strongly advise the manufacturer to provide two sets of instructions on both sides OR provide only in English if for sale in the US.

I ordered a NUNA car seat with an adaptor when my baby was born, he grew uncomfortable and could barely move his arms within 2 months. I really hated this car seat and it was quite expensive $400 to not be as versatile as I researched. My baby was a preemie so it is not because he was a bigger baby at all! I researched again extensively, decided to purchase the Britax one4life, hardly any information can be found on youtube etc because it is so new. I have to tell you it is the best purchase I ever made. My baby is so comfortable, it is supportive of his head, while still having so much room for his body, arms etc. He sleeps so well and this is important because we travel very often. The best part is that I will most likely never need to purchase another car seat! If I have another baby I will definitely be purchasing this seat again. The only downside I would imagine is if you live in a cold climate (we live in Costa Rica), and need to move your baby in and out of the car, this is where a baby seat carrier is more functional than this seat in order to ensure baby stays warm. Also since you cannot put a baby safely in the seat with a winter suit or heavy clothes - this would be the only downside for me. I also have used while travelling in Canada a safety 1st, chicco and a few other brands and nothing compares to this Britax!

I have purchased this car seat three times - one seat each for two grand babies and an extra for convenience that I keep in my own vehicle as I seem to regularly be ferrying one or more of the grandchildren around. I have been using car seats since 1994 when my eldest was born and I can say hands down this is the best. It is super easy to install, obviously very comfortable for the child, and also is very highly rated for safety. It’s easy to clean, and I love the removable cup holders. I have used a number of older rear and forward facing car seats as well as more modern convertible seats and this is the only one I will invest in now. I love how this seat grows with the child, and assuming you don’t have to replace due to an accident (god forbid!), this seat is very economical in its potential use from birth through 120 lbs.

So. We are a devoted Britax family. 2 of our kids have the Boulevard. And for the third we considered this one, since you can use it from a lot younger age. Our babies are huge and standard infant seats are tight early. And this one can be used for longer as well.
It installs easier than Boulevard. Not that boulevard is hard to install, but this one is even easier.

There is one con: I am ok with ir, but I could see how some people would be concerned. Boulevard has those teething things next to the tip harness latch that is really comfortable on babies chest. This seat doesn't have it. I was a bit upset. Considering that it is a pretty expensive seat and you want it to be perfect. But maybe its just me.

Side note. It is bulky, so if space in the car is a concern I'd go to a different model.

Amazing car seat!! If you’re thinking about getting a new car seat for your toddler This is the one! It’s a little wide, but it is very comfortable. I’m not sure if it would fit 3 across but with the clicktight system I would gladly call it a win!

Very good seat, our daughter is comfortable and safe. Negatives, seat is large and takes up a lot of space. The seat is on the heavier side. Meant to stay in your vehicle, would be nice if it were a bit lighter with a carrying handle. That said, I would recommend this seat because safety is first and it definitely provides that!

I did a lot of research before choosing a car seat. It ended up being between this seat or Graco 4ever extend2fit. I chose the one4life with anti-rebound bar! graco seat didn't have the option for an anti-rebound bar. Britax is heavier because there's a steel frame inside of it; that's worth the extra weight for me. I can not believe how easy it was to put this in my car! Maybe took 5 minutes, only because I have a chevy Cruz; small car big seat. With a larger car, it would probably take 2 minutes.

This is the easiest car seat to install I’ve ever used, hands down. I have to wrestle with out Chicco Nextfit, but this is a dream. I also love that it will last until we no longer need a high-backed booster, which is probably close to seven years (currently have a two year old in it).

The only drawback is it does take some elbow grease to get the straps tightened properly around the child, but that might be because it’s new and it might get easier once it’s been used a little more.

This car seat is the best! The click tight technology is what sold me. But I also love that it grows with them, is good for 10 years, and it’s so comfy! My little loves it so much better. We just upgraded from her infant car seat (britax b-safe ultra which we also love). I love the safety features on this. And the mesh for air flow keeping them cool. It took me a minute to figure out how to adjust the straps (there’s a metal thing under the seat cushion flap you pull up) but once i figured it out it was super easy to adjust. Also love that there’s 2 cup holders and everything is machine washable! Even the seat cover! I also have a friend who has 2 of these for both her kids and they love it too!!

Overall it's a comfortable and safe seat but I wish it was easy to take apart and clean. I've had this issue with past britax seats as well.

I was so excited about getting this seat after reading up about it for weeks prior to purchase! I was no as impressed once I received it. The recline button is a huge pain to push in, I had to literally climb in my vehicle and use my knee to lock the seat back down after putting the seatbelt through! The head rest is very wobbly. My son rides ok in it but definitely not any better than your basic $100 car seat.

Would rather it have three layers of protection like some of the other Britax seats. This is the easiest seat I’ve installed in the last almost 7 years. It does have a bit of a steep thigh incline not matter how the seat is situated in the car which seems a little uncomfortable for my tall nearly 6 year old.

I love Britax seats and this one is no exception.

We love this car seat! It puts the baby up higher so she can see more and really helped with her crying in the car. It is very heavy and solid and so easy to install. The material is great!

This thing is solid as solid can get. It will definitely last forever. Heavy as anything though. I guess that's what you get with a steel frame

I love this car seat. I have no buyers remorse. Super comfortable and my baby seems to like it so much more than his other one. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a car seat that is going to grow with your child and wants something you know your child with be comfortable in.

This car seat is a great seat, except for two issues: the head rest cover does not stay on after being washed even after being reinstalled correctly (the plastic flaps keep coming out), and it can be difficult to tighten the car seat harness straps on a toddler/big kid.

We started out with the Britax B Safe infant sea. So now that my little man is getting to big for it, we switched to the convertible seat. This seat is well made and extremely sturdy. The seat anchors are very easy to use making installation a breeze. The padding and material makes it very comfy for my little man. Britax is also made in the USA so that also makes me happy.

I am very satisfied with the product unfortunately I cant use it to carry around. This is only to keep in the car. I thought it was a car seat that can come out and I can carry around but I am still going to keep it so that way we can have it when our child is older.

Great Product, our 28 month old baby is comfortable and safe.

Easy to install and the cup holders are great because can’t be removed easily (our son used to remove the other holders easily)

We ordered this for our grandchild. She seems to be comfortable.

The car seat is really great and comfy but I had to return it since the infant mode is too tight for my baby. The strap for adjusting the harness is too short compared to GRACO Extend 2fit.

Stop thinking and buy this car seat. Easiest install and it’s in securely. Doesn’t move at all. Easy to clean and easy to adjust.

We switched our little into this seat a little after his first birthday and he loved it! Wish we would’ve done it sooner! It’s comfy and adds support to all the areas needed, and you also get cup holders!

*Edited to add: I’ve removed a star for lack of comfort. Without a pull-up on but with the Britax Seatsaver in use (so an extra layer), my son started complaining about 25 minutes into a 40-minute car ride that his bottom hurt and the seat was too hard. I put my hand down on the seat cushion and felt around and there’s an easily palpable bar or something right under the seat cushion. The cushion is not padded enough. Of course that’s not comfortable! This is EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING for such an expensive seat. Also, the manual storage location is downright idiotic. It’s directly under the seat cushion, behind the child’s back, making an even more uneven surface for the child to sit on. Not to mention that it would likely get torn up from all the in and out and moving around of the child. I’ve been storing it in my glovebox instead which I don’t like. It really should be kept with the seat. I’m really not thrilled with this seat, but it is the only RF seat that has a shell tall enough for my son, who is only in the 75th percentile for height, so not extremely tall. I did like the harness straps, but now they seem to be shedding. Going to keep an eye on this. There is a lot on this seat that needs improvement, especially for the price.*

First, I'm VERY disappointed that no anti-rebound bar is available for this seat. The previews of the seat I saw all showed it with the anti-rebound bar, which was supposed to turn into a leg rest for forward-facing. But when the seat was finally released, no word on the anti-rebound bar at all. The company now just says an ARB might be available at some point. Not good enough!! Britax touts the importance of the ARB and then releases a seat that doesn't have one!

Another issue with the seat is that the headrest cover doesn't actually fit the headrest. I've talked to someone else who has this seat and theirs is like this too. There is a LOT of bare foam showing all around the top of the headrest--several inches of it. I don't like this AT ALL. It seems way too easy for the foam to be damaged.

Also, the headrest wiggles around a lot. This seems odd to me. It just doesn't fit snuggly into the shell of the seat. Every time my son moves his head I hear it rattle around, which is a bit unsettling. It just seems like it should be more solid, especially for the price.

This is quite a wide seat. I measured 20.5" at the cupholders. But it does fit in my small car pretty well, since we don't usually have any other passengers in the back seat. Also, the cupholders are too easily removed. I can see them being pulled out and thrown around by a 2-3 year old, which would be dangerous for the driver, having cupholders launched around the vehicle.

This seat requires the child's head to be 1" below the top of the shell, and that is confusing. I really hate ambiguous rules like that for car seats, though I know a lot of them have this rule (our old Nextfit did not though). I'm going to speak to a tech about how to measure that.

My 4-year-and-3-months old, 38.5-lb, 42" son seems to fit well in it, with room to grow. There are four height adjustments left for him, so it looks like we have *finally* found a seat he can max out rear-facing in height or weight rather than have to forward face early because he has such a long torso. Hopefully the 1" rule won't hinder that, or the seat will have been a waste of money, since we already had a seat he could forward face in.

My son says the seat is comfortable, though I've only allowed him in the seat with a pull-up on so far, and I'm concerned the crotch buckle is too short and might smash him in the crotch once he's not in pull-ups. Britax said their Britax Seat Saver can be used with this seat, so I will soon find out if it will be comfortable for him without a pull-up.

The seat was SUPER easy to install. This is actually the only seat I've tried (and I've tried several) that I would actually say is legitimately easy to install. It also installed more evenly than any of the others I've tried. I haven't yet tried removing the seat cover for washing (we've been spoiled by the Nextfit Zip), but I definitely like that it is machine washable. Apparently, it's machine dryable too, which is great just in case, but I will probably try not to dry it to help with longevity.

This seat sits up quite tall. I have to have it on the second-to-last recline, almost all the way down, in order to be able to see enough out my rear window.

Overall, the height of the shell, the ease of installation, and the comfort of the seat are the big winners here. I also like the straps and found it pretty easy to tighten. Of course, once it is set to my son, I leave the straps and just unbuckle to get him in and out so I'm not retightening all the time. I definitely wish the anti-rebound was available as originally promised. Particularly with bigger kids, the ARB seems even more important, since more weight means more force. There are definitely some things that need improvement on this seat, but there are also some great things about this seat, too. I'm not positive we will keep this seat. We might end up with the Nuna Exec instead, since it comes with an anti-rebound bar and is also super easy to install and super comfortable.

This car seat is not good at all. We’ve had several and this is the worst one. It is easy to install but the straps are a nightmare. My son is only 34 lbs and there is no way it would fit him much longer. When he fell asleep his head dropped straight down like it never had before. Great idea but the car seat needs some work! We love Britax but just not this one.

Capital Kidz is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with on Amazon. I sent back the car seat and never heard anything from them. I messaged them and they said it arrived damaged so they’re only giving me 50% back. It was definitely not damaged when I sent it and I packed it up just as they had it. They said Amazon will refund you the rest. AKA we want to get our share and scam amazon out of their money.

Amazon is wonderful and I received my full refund but Capital Kidz is a joke and I will be reporting them.
