I've had a well groomed beard for years with various lengths and also owned many trimmers. This has been one of the best. High quality, great balance, looks great and the right attachments for face and body grooming. The case is a bit large for carryon travel but great for home storage with plenty of pocket space in the lid for oil, brush, extra razors.
Battery life: Great. Used almost daily, charged every other week.
Cut Quality: Attachments are accurate and consistent. No clip cut is create.
Cleaning and Maintaining: A lot of wet/dry trimmers have exposed cleaning areas, this does not and is a quick brush/rinse. Not too big as well.

I can sum up my review with this one sentence: This is a toy.
I bought this MGK5245 for the purpose of clipping hair. My hair was several inches long due to quarantine and I needed something that works. This does not "work", and let me tell you why.
Reason#1. Hair accumulates in the blades only after 1~2 strokes and prevents further use unless hair is removed from the blades. This doesn't sound like much, but if you are like me who like cutting the lengths of hair to precision, you WILL need to run over the same spot as many times as you can. Having to remove accumulated hair on the blades every few strokes because either the blades are a)dull or b)not powerful enough is not a consumer product and is a reflection of how "toy-like" this product is. Oh yeah, and if you are using any of the clip-on trimmers hair accumulates BETWEEN them and the blades every few strokes which, again, prevents further use of the said trimmer.
Reason #2. Not designed for clipping hair denser than the lightest part of your body. Like I said, I bought this to clip my hair, but the blades simply does not properly serve that function. You could run the trimmer through your hair a hundred times and hair will literally just "glide across" the blades. I ended up having to pull the end of my hair to tighten it and blade it through, making it "chew" through my hair.
Caveat. This trimmer might serve the purpose of ever so lightly trimming the edges of a coarse beard/hair. But for the purposes of a clipping hair, I would just avoid this line of product all together.

Great trimmer, of course this is Braun.. and the bag is awesome, everything in order inside it.
Blade are sharp and only time would say how long the battery holds.
Exactly as described and worth the money, highly recommanded.

Was a gift for my husband and he is thrilled with it. Much better quality than the trimmers he’s used in the past, he is especially pleased with the small grooming tool for nose/ear trimming. He has a beard and now he is able to trim it at home the way he likes instead of paying extra at the barber. Overall very pleased with this purchase and the quality of this trimmer.

I've intentionally waited a few months to be able to provide an accurate review. The good: plenty of different attachments for multiple uses and fairly easy to use. The bad: battery life is non-existent. After full charge maybe 20 minutes. Not sure if this is common but this is what I have experienced with the one I purchased. My first purchase of a Braun grooming product and will be going back to Philips.

After using twice per week for the last 8 weeks, I can confirm this was a complete waste of money. The adapters don’t fit securely and the battery is already toast. The device doesn’t work when plugged in and now only lasts for 60 seconds before the battery dies. Spare yourself the disappointment.

What can I say excellent shaver for the money.You can use in shower I just say don’t get it wet and be careful.Peraonally I use in shower before I clean up and get wet then set off to side.Doesn't forcefully pull hairs only down side may take 3 or more passes in private areas but no snags scraps cuts so well worth it and fre razor man what a value because that razor is precise and just gained a new loyal customer the shave is perfect

This product arrived in SEALED packaging appeared to be new. Until I turned it on and little white hairs came out everywhere. Extremely disgusting. This was one of the must unhygienic occurrences we’ve ever experienced. In a pandemic... really? Beware!

I really like the fact that the razor can adjusted to accomodate so many different lengths without needing a dozen or so clip-on combs. The additional accessories make it very versatile too.

I received this yesterday and was very pleased with the packaging, case, accessories, and ways they connect to the trimmer. I charged it, then used it for about 15 min. until it lost it's charge. When it was running, it worked fine. I charged it overnight, and this morning it had a solid green light saying it was fully charged. It ran for about 20 sec. before dying. I'm going to charge it to full charge one more time before I return it. The worst thing is that it must be run off battery power. If I could have run it off the plug as a corded trimmer, I may have kept it.
UPDATE: I tried another full charge, and it ran down in about 20 sec. I returned it to Kohls, and using the 25% off coupon for doing an Amazon return with them, I bought a Phillips Norelco Multi-Groom All-In-One Trimmer 5000 for half the price. It isn't as nice or well made as the Braun, but has all the same basic features and will run while charging with the cord plugged in.

I was so excited to get this as I already had a Braun wet/dry razor that I’ve used for years with zero complaints. This started out in the same fashion and true to the great Braun design. Sadly after six months the battery clearly began to fail. It began with maybe getting two uses before recharge but quickly fell to an audible speed change and flashing red light after a few minutes of use. Very frustrating! Since you cannot use it while plugged in your options are reduced to maybe a quick trim. I am so disappointed with Braun. Walter Gropius would roll in his grave to see that the once embraced principles of simplicity in design and function with an emphasis on first quality are lost with Braun. This is truly an example of from Bauhaus to the outhouse. Do not waste your money.

Very disappointed in this product. Shave quality is poor and honestly takes me 2-3 times as long to complete a very so so looking shave in the time it used to take me using a similar product @ 1/3 the cost of this item. Because of the initial shave being so poor, I also find myself having to shave daily where as I could sneak every other day or so with a proper trim.
Im just sad its too late to get a refund on this item. The risk you assume trying a new brand I guess? Ive had a Braun brand electric shaver that was good. These trimmers however, belong in the garbage and or should be sold at half the price
The upside of the dull blade/poor shave is I have never accidentally knicked myself while using with no guard. more than I can say for wahl. HA!

It is true, it comes with SHAVIN CREAM in some attachments. I did not believe some of the comments and decided to buy it. Please do not make the same mistake! It is true. As soon as I started using the shaving attachment there was a white foamy substance inside. At first I thought it was some kind of oil so I cleaned it and used the second shaving attachment... same thing, which is when I realized other comments were true!
Absolutely disgusting! These days with viruses that survive on surfaces for long time going around and you are selling used stuff that you do not even clean! I got it for my 85 year old father so I did not have to take him to a barber shop for a long time. Reckless to sell the item in this condition!

I use this trimmer to keep the length of my beard uniform. The problem is that the attachment "comb," which determines the length, slips. So I have it set at "5" to start, and at some point, it's slips to a "3," cutting my beard too short. It's happened more than once, so I'm giving up on this.

This Braun clipper is exactly what I've been looking for. Previously I used an older, corded Wahl clipper set. But, I hated being tethered to the wall by the cord. And I hate having to keep all of the different sized guards and search for the desired length. So, I thought I'd go cordless. I tried a few other brands first, but returned them promptly as they were ineffective (The cheaper norelco clippers in particular caused me to go over and over and over the same body part, with minimal hair trimming). This clipper set has an adjustable guard (only ONE guard to keep!) which I use all over. The heads are easily detachable as needed. The included case is VERY nice! Though I don't have an exact time, the clipper seems to hold the charge for a long time. I use it several times before charging. And, I charge it not because the battery died, but to prevent it from dying on me... so, I don't really know how long the charge actually would last. The build quality seems pretty robust at this price point. I am very happy with this body groomer.

Disgusting. I bought this against my better judgement because I figured the other reviews I saw about hair being on the product were just a fluke. But sure enough, unpackaged the box and immediately found shaving cream under one attachment and hair on another. How has the seller not been flagged?

If could give it zero star I would!.
When I opened the travel case that the product come in, the first thing I saw was hair all over the machine and the components.
It was super disgusting and unsanitary.

I bought this to cut a child’s hair during COVID times. They are advertised for beard and head cutting. It actually did a pretty good job considering the skill level of the operator. They seem to be more geared toward cutting and trimming beards but it does work pretty well for haircuts.
The blade was sharp and cut without hesitation. Different size guards and at least the large one is adjustable by a small amount.
The battery held out for the duration, I’d say 30-40 minutes but started sounding like it was slowing down.
Again, for the price and what I needed it for, these worked great. I wouldn’t recommend it for cutting head hair on a regular basis.

Do not but this trimmer if you want to keep your beard or mustache at a certain length, which in my mind is one of the most important things a trimmer should perform well at. The trimmer guards that come with this one however are only kept in place to be at a certain length by these chintzy plastic nubs sticking out of the back of the trimmer AND the gray button on the back of the guards is right in the same spot you would naturally rest your finger while holding the trimmer while shaving. This is also not to mention that the guards do not "lock" very well onto those plastic nubs, so even when only applying a little bit of pressure to the trimmer on your face while shaving, the guard can slip. This ended up destroying my beard because while shaving at a 9, unknowingly the guard slipped to a 3 and I lost all my length in one pass across my neck to chin to bottom of my mouth... I wish I had known about this severe design flaw before purchasing this trimmer and literally NEVER write reviews for products, but figured I'd try and save someone else from losing their beard as I did because of this shoddy design.

I don't know if they erred too much on the side of safety or what but this thing is just barely effective for trimming hairs. Might as well just put your phone on vibrate and hold it up to your ear; it will accomplish roughly as much. Very disappointing for a brand like Braun I previously had a lot of respect for. I'll give it a few days and see if my mind changes but this is probably getting returned.

Muy triste sinceramente, creo que es una asesina... para cortar el cuerpo es lo peor, te hace cortes horribles (arranca la piel) muy decepcionado con este producto... si llegas a leer este comentario por favor enserio no la compres si quiere usar para corte de cuerpo es una basura literalmente... es muy pero muy bonita, el bolso, las piezas todo... pero es un engano en la poción de corte para el cuerpo y ni se te ocurra pasar por las partes íntima porq te puede hacer un corte peligroso...

I have used Braun in the past but got away from them due to price. I switched to Norelco for a while and then it seemed like their quality took a nosedive. They were failing quickly after purchase. I them switched to Phillips. The blades on their electric trimmers get dull really fast.
So, I am back to Braun. I really like this unit. It gives you just about everything you need. You can trim you beard down to stubble or leave it quite full. I love the screen razor head they include in this set. The nose trimmer is also a plus.
I have tested the run time and it exceeds 60 minutes. I did not try to see how long it would run before shutting off.
I never should have left Braun. When this one dies, it will be another Braun.
