Powerful, right size... and uses your 18V batteries
Sorry, as a user of dust-busters since the late 80s, I've seen all sizes of devices. I just tossed a failing dyson animal because I was tired of the dwindling battery life, the hassle of all the connections. I tossed my dewalt wet/dry vac because it only works with older batteries and not newer 18v lithium and I hate plugging it in. Hell, even my RC car collection with its myriad of connections and different battery types made me rethink things.
What I have learned over 20 years: Having a single battery platform trumps most features between brands. So, its a great little vacuum. But more importantly, it uses my big ass (or small) Bosch 18v batteries.
I have now ditched all my dewalt 18v tools (and lame LION batteries which last half a year). Since adopting the micro 12v Bosch tools, I have expanded my18v collection for larger types, and to have this little vac use my monster 8ah Bosch battery is literally funny. And the same battery, also available in small 2 and 4ah lighter versions, works on my recip saw, cir saw, flood light, wet / dry vac, "freak" tool I love, and just about everything else. I like that 4 year old Bosch 18v tools work with the latest batteries, unlike some dewalt items. I just got the tiny blower and its so cool for its size. I have never had a single Bosch tool die. I have had a dozen dewalt items die after just a few years of use.
We don't want to replace tools with new generation units all the time. And we definitely don't want to constantly replace dying and expensive batteries or deal with compatibility between generations. Hands down the 18v and 12v batteries from Bosch have outlasted everything else I've tried (bye Ryobi). I have 12v batteries from half a decade ago which last just as long as the new ones. Same with 18v.
So, yep, good little vac... but more importantly, low cost when used with existing batteries in your collection.
This little vacuum is just a vacuum. But it performs well and it use batteries I know I'll have around forever. Bare tool bosch purchases are not expensive. Invest in a 2, 4 and 8ah 18v battery set and you'll have options across the board without the pain and hassle of dying tools and batteries.

Very weak suction even for a battery powered vacuum. Not sure why so many 5 star reviews.
Doesn't pick up much. If you left some dirt on a flat smooth surface it might pick up the lighter chunks. But if you had dirt on a flat smooth surface you could easily use a brush or rag or piece of paper. the Bosch 18 volt vacuum would not pick up much of anything inside my car. Almost all the dirt and dust and blades of grass were still there. If the product can't even do a basic job its not a good product. Shame because I like all my other Bosch tools.
Lowes website has considerably fewer reviews but they seem more honest and accurate.

It doesn’t suck. Actually, it does...
I bought this vacuum primarily because it uses the same battery as my other Bosch tools. Secondarily, because it’s conveniently portable for small household jobs. However, I regretted the purchase almost immediately due to its lack of suction. It fails to pick up anything bit the finest particles and then only after multiple passes. It clogs quickly and has to be emptied repeatedly even during the smallest tasks. I’m confident that there are better handheld vacuums available for a fraction of the $99 I paid for this one. After six months use I’ve decided to toss it and find something that works better for my tasks.

Great for cleaning messes up around the house
I was in need of a new handvac/"dustbuster" and wanted something without a cord and wasn't a whole new vacuum cleaner. I landed on the Bosch and I LOVE it. I have used it so many times to clean up sand from the sofa, getting around the edges of the floor and behind and under furniture, and cleaning up sheetrock dust. I pull it out every day so I don't have to haul out the standup vac. My 9yo will even use it to clean up messes - can't beat that! It's easy to empty the dirt. Note: we already had batteries and a charger from some other Bosch tools, otherwise I may not have gotten it due to the additional expense. I have a 1.5 amp battery and it does only run for about 10 minutes. We have two batteries so I always have one fully charged in backup.

Read good before get it
It is a good product but I thought it was more powerful, however is good enough for use it with tools as dust suction .
I recommend you to buy it only if you have the batteries already otherwise it will be a very expensive tool .

Suck Real Good
This thing works very well. I was able to catch either 2 horseflies in my camper with it, or the same horsefly twice. Not sure on that part.

Good suction
Sucks good. Slows down a bit after sucking hard in the beginning but that's to be expected. Just open her up, slap her on the backside filter and she starts sucking hard again. The long hose is a bit limp I recommend the stiff attachments.

Not powerful enough
Nice ergonomics and thoughtful design, It just can't do the job. It won't pick up even pick up small particles of salt which in the winter is a must. Small strings or clingy fibers are also a challenge. I bought it to replace a shark that would only last 20 minutes but the shark had twice the suction power.

Works with all my Bosch batteries.
What I like about the vac is, it has pretty good suction and good filtration. It came with two extension tubes, one crevice tool, one 3 foot flexible hose, and one floor tool. The filtration system work well, and has one removable filter and 3 separate filter chambers that separate debris according to size.
The only negative that I see at this time is battery use, it drains batteries fairly quickly, so make sure you have 4,5, or 6 ah battery.

Easy to use, but suction is lacking
Not meant for big jobs. Barely gets the dirt off the carpet in the car. Suction is pretty weak. Not sure what this should be used for but it is not a great product for cleaning out cars.

poor suction
i have been using bosch tools for several years and this is the first one i am disappointed with. very poor suction not even useful for the lightest clean up tasks.
