Best small drill I've ever owned
I've had this drill for almost exactly 5 years now. I use it once or twice a month for all kinds of things. Everyone who I've ever let use it is surprised at how powerful it is. It could twist your wrist if you weren't ready for it. I just used it to make a set of large shelves using 2x4's and plywood, my heaviest use for it yet. Even after all these years it still surprised me how well it did driving 3 1/2 inch screws. I hit a knot one time and had to move the screw away from it but other than that it worked well. It's small enough to get in the tight spaces easily too.
The batteries last plenty long enough for every job I've used it for and they hold their charge a long time between uses. After my shelves I hung a bunch of parts bin cabinets and took apart some plywood boxes that used to hold the bins. I started with a battery showing 1/3 and finished with my 2nd battery showing 1/3.
After all this time and all the times I've used it I figured it was finally time to leave my review and say how much I love this drill. It has easily done everything I've asked of it and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

Great drill for smaller jobs around the house
Great small drill with hammer drill option. 2 speed selector on top is ok to use and the mode selection is intuitive. I think this is great for light duty work, i.e. a home owner dealing with small jobs around the house. The drill is very small and I don't imagine it would be good for heavy duty work, like metal work or lots of masonry drilling work. I'll keep my corded drill handy for bigger jobs like spade bits and harder surfaces. No comparison to 120v torque!!!
The nice thing about this drill is the battery exchange-ability with the other Bosch tools. I have the older 10.8v cordless driver (PS10) and the battery is the same size. I did a bit of research before I bought this drill since I didn't want to end up with a bunch of incompatible batteries and chargers. The cordless driver uses the 12v battery no problem, it was apparently under rated for some reason. The new version (PS11) uses the same 12v batteries as this drill includes. So I only need 1 charger and set of batteries now, the 10.8v stuff can sit on a shelf and I can take advantage of 12v power.

Lightweight and works well
This is really lightweight and works well. The only thing that's not great is the LED isn't positioned in a great spot and the drill easily casts a shadow on the surface you're trying to drill or drive. Considering the price and quality of the drill, it's easy to overlook this small shortcoming.

Can't beat the Bosch 12V lineup
I love these things - I own most of the tools in the Bosch 12V line and they're all way too good for the $. The 18-20V tools have their place but for 99.9% of what I do, this drill is my go-to. It's light but feels quality, it's compact but beefy in the right spots, and it's worked without issue. If money was no object and I could buy any tools (ah, dreams), I'd still just buy this again for my daily driver.

feels great in the hand and is easy to use
I am very impressed by this unit. It is lightweight, feels great in the hand and is easy to use. It has multiple controls for speed and torque and the LED is very helpful. I have only charger the battery once and am using it for light work around the house (hanging things, securing furniture to the wall). After about 5 small projects, the battery still shows fully charged. I was heavily debating this versus an 18v drill. What swayed me this way was the hammer function since my house is concrete block. While I'm aware this may be slightly slower than more powerful drills, I am not doing anything fancy and am doing mostly home DIY projects. This is more than enough for that.

great drill
I used this drill over 3 months and I really like this drill. It is powerful and light. Now days I use this for majority of the work around the house. I have not test for big project and for those I will probably use the bigger Dewalt I have. But for day to day project, this is my go to drill. The motor is smooth and the dial around the drill to control the setting is smooth and has a good tactile feel. Great buy.

2.0A batteries come standard now - great drill for DIY
I've used corded drills for years, and finally got tired of dragging out the heavy-duty extension cord, and keeping the cords organized during projects. I did a lot of research, and narrowed it down to a few models. The L-BOXX system is interesting, but I'm not a contractor, so I chose a hammer option over the fancy case.
I just got the drill last night, charged the batteries and gave it a test run. Screws into some old pine scrap went smoothly, and the clutch is easy to set for consistent depth. Drilling was fine, and I didn't see any wobble to the chuck. I tried the hammer drill, but wood really isn't a good test. I don't expect to use it that often, but it'll be very handy when I need to drill into cinder block or concrete.
The drill itself is a little bigger than I expected, but fits my hand comfortably, and is balanced well. Mine came with 2.0 amp batteries, and a sticker to that effect on the outer box, which was a nice surprise. The charger is basic, but worked fine and didn't get too warm after charging both packs to full. It does use balancing leads to address each cell in the pack individually, so battery life should be maximized, and a bad cell should trigger a warning, not vent with flame. Printing on the packs lists "INR", which is a high-current chemistry, so I'd expect plenty of life from both batteries, especially with the protection circuit. Li-ion batteries are different enough from Nicads and NiMHs that I want to see some engineering to that effect. Bosch has done well in that regard.

Best home drill.. not recommended for workplaces
Excellent Drill. Feels true in hand can stand up to most tasks recommended for light home Use. If used in commercial setting I recommend this as a screwdriver stand in more than a pocket Drill or Hand tool. Under load the drill can become warm as well as fail under high torque situations which could cause it to intermittently shut off

Great Drill, If you have it - you use it.
The compact size is great for weird angles, prolonged holding, and holding in awkward positions. It has plenty of power for common jobs. This is my first power drill and I'm absolutely glad I got a nice one. From Ikea furniture to installing things into cabinets and walls, the hammer drill feature is nice for getting through brick. I've borrowed lesser drills from friends and looking back, I don't know how I got this far without a drill that at least had a clutch. Bought mine refurbished so I saved a lot of money, looks and feels just like new.

Small hammer drill for us regular people
Sometimes I use a Drill at work and occasionally that might involve a brick wall or cement board. This drill is easy to carry and use. A perfect fit. This drill is not the cement busting use all day hammer drill. This drill is the best compromise for portability and normal use.

I like the size
This is my second purchase of this drill, the first one met an untimely death in a vat of fertilizer. I like the size, balance and power. I drill a lot of holes in concrete and cinderblock and it does pretty well for a small drill. The reason it only gets 3 stars is the chuck. It does not hold well and I have to constantly re-tighten whatever bit I am using. I know the vibration of using it as a hammer drill contributes to this problem but I think it's possible to design/manufacture a chuck that performs better than this one. I would gladly pay a little more for a better chuck.
