I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it!
My kitchen came with a basic double-bowl stainless steel sink. I never found a good use for the two bowls, and often cursed as I attempted to wash baking pans, large Le Creuset pots, and occasionally one of my pet chickens in a too-small section of a large sink. I also hated the stainless - every little hard water spot showed up and made it look constantly dirty.
So I definitely wanted a new sink, but had a few restrictions: I didn't want to replace the counter tops (well, I want to, but don't want to spend the money yet) and I wanted something that would fit in the existing cut-out. I wanted to do the install myself (so a heavy cast iron model was out.) I didn't want to spend more than $500 (that narrowed the field considerably.) And I wanted it to be white, sturdy, and easy to keep clean (which ruled out acrylic surfaces). I have pets and kids, cook a lot, bake, garden, and my sink needs to be able to handle a lot of stuff without me fussing over it.
This Blanco sink fit the bill perfectly. I was nervous about doing the installation myself; I had hooked up a faucet before, but never a disposal and drain pipes. And because I am ridiculously optimistic, I decided to do it while my husband was out of the country on business for two weeks. It wasn't nearly as straightforward as I had hoped, but after a couple of days of yelling expletives in between trips to Home Depot, I DID IT.
A few months later, I couldn't be more happy with this sink. The depth is perfect, the size is amazing, and it's crazy easy to clean. It does stain with coffee, rust, marks from pots bumping it, etc, but everything comes up easily with a sponge or worst case with Barkeeper's Friend or Bon Ami.
Bottom line: get this sink! I am a Blanco fan for life.

Can I give this 6 stars? What an amazing sink! This is our second Blanco sink, same color, our previous one had a slightly different configuration and came with a cutting board and such that fit over the sink edges, we still have it. That may be the only thing missing from this one. I haven't checked if there is something like that available for this one. I'm not buying one; I'll reshape the one I have to make it fit on the new one. Anyway, this sink is if possible even better than the old one. We had that one for probably about 6 years and it never had any mar/scratch/dent/change in the look or finish. I’m not exaggerating at all. When we moved out we knew we'd miss the sink.
Pictures attached are of the old sink and new sink, sink without the faucet, and with. Note that the silicon has been cleaned up from time of the pictures taken.
The big 9-1/2" deep bowl is amazing it is so much more space than the double sink. Not having the double sink ridge and angles in the middle gives you a great deal more working/usable area. We bought this sink for Christmas this year for our home and while I was ordered to do so by Mrs. Northcote, it was a great idea and upgrade. Especially for me as I do all the dishes, I've attached pictures of our old sink, a 6.5 inch deep double sink. Having had the Blanco before, I was not a fan of the old sink and faucet. We have 3 Labradors and the water jug (5 gallon type) is one I have to fill 2-3 times a week and it's annoying to fill in that old sink. At an angle, with without being able to leave the sink. This made it all better.
Put the 5 gallon water jug in the bottom, put the faucet in the top by maybe two inches, walk away, come back in 5 minutes and no water spilling all over. I could fill a 40 quart turkey fryer pot in this without any problem at all. And washing our new baby in her own little tub (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AN8S07Y?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_112) in the sink fits just fine, little tight but lots easier than washing her in the bath tub and water/control is much easier as well.
I have not bought the grate for the bottom of the sink nor do I intend too, it looks neat and all but I haven’t seen any need to do so. I could see using the grate if you get some really really hot pans, the sink says it voids the warranty at anything put in to it over 536 degrees Fahrenheit. If something is that hot, I shouldn’t be anywhere near the sink anyway, I don’t get my pans those kind of heat numbers that I can ever remember.
Mounting the sink was more interesting as the mounts are set for a much thinner counter top than I have. I didn’t route out the wood. I didn’t have any need, with the weight of the sink and the garbage disposal underneath, (and a much simpler and cleaner space under the sink) and the plumbing it has plenty of weight and hasn’t moved at all. The sink fit perfectly into the old slot, put the silicon down on the wood and then on/around it in order to seal it in and good to go. The sink DID come with the mounting brackets.
Not a single issue or problem the Faucet installation as well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014KE5WTA?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_143 Is the faucet that we picked up from Amazon as well for this installation. The faucet holds itself when pointed in whatever direction by the bar that comes out it doesn’t “Return to center” for example. It stays where you put it. When detached from the bar it will follow the nozzle if you move to far from the bar but it’s just a matter of the pipes inside and not a problem to me at all. Attachment of the faucet to the sink was easy peasy stuff. Took maybe 5-10 minutes, then tighten the bolts on the bottom to hold steady. I had been concerned it would be too high. Nope, pretty much the perfect height. It does NOT bend way down into the sink but it goes plenty far enough. It might bend a bit farther than I think but I’m not going to break it by testing that way. The spray is good from it, and it turns off the spray function when turned off. Also the faucet end does come off easily and you could clean out sediment and such very quickly.
If you’ve read this far, you can tell we’re very happy with both products!
Update, 9/26/2016. Still extremely happy with this sink. Still baths for the baby in the sink as well. No issues and no discoloration or problems at all. Still great!

You don't need a divided sink!
When my kitchen remodel was done I was promised a free steel sink with the deal. I told the sales person that I didn't want a cheap, thin-walled, apartment style sink in my new kitchen. Well guess what? That is exactly what I got. I had them rip out that steel sink and since they had to re-cut the opening in the countertop I was forced to buy a large sink. I found this one, ordered it, and had the installers put it in. I can't begin to tell you how much I love it. For some silly reason I thought I should have a divided sink and now that I have this giant rectangle of a sink I find that it is so much more convenient. Don't even consider a divided sink in your house, just get one of these.
By the way, a small tip, the installers under-mounted this sink but left a 1/2 inch edge, of the top of the sink exposed. At first I was upset that the countertop didn't completely cover the whole sink but I found a cutting board that is exactly 17 1/2 inches long so now I have a cutting board that bridges the front-to-back of the sink and I can just sweep waste directly from the board into the disposer. Everything turned out better than I had expected.
By the way, a small tip, the installers under-mounted this sink but left a 1/2 inch edge, of the top of the sink exposed. At first I was upset that the countertop didn't completely cover the whole sink but I found a cutting board that is exactly 17 1/2 inches long so now I have a cutting board that bridges the front-to-back of the sink and I can just sweep waste directly from the board into the disposer. Everything turned out better than I had expected.

update -- I've had this for almost 3 years and it still works perfectly and looks fantastic. An updated picture is included (the one without the tomato is current). I once left a cast iron pan in the bottom and it left an iron stain, but with regular use and cleaning the stain just went away. So I'm still loving this sink.
original -- I never thought a sink would help to contribute to my happiness, but here I am, giving 5 stars to a sink. The size, color, and sturdiness are all awesome. I love being able to procrastinate on doing the dishes by piling them up on the left and still having plenty of room around the drain on the right! I also got the matching sink drain insert and it looks great. It's gotten major use since being installed 6 months ago and there have been no issues.

Don’t forget the accessories!!
This is the best sink ever!!! It fit in my space perfectly! It is so easy to clean!! You can use it for hand washing your clothes! Giving baths for babies and dogs! No problem with anything getting in your way. I bought it for our family Christmas present last year and it still looks perfect! I clean it with baking soda and peroxide, because they tell you not to use bleach! I actually enjoy doing dishes! You have so much room and I don’t get all wet from splashing water! My daughter and I put it in and made a hole for the ro system. We had to punch it out gently but the spaces are already set up for extra holes! The faucet hole was already there!!! I am a 53 year old woman and my daughter is 20. Never dreamed we could do this on our own! Don’t Forget to get your drain cover. We did it in about 5 hours, plumbing and all! Thank you for having this available!!!

Sad to say, has not aged well
When I moved into my 40 year old house, it had a horrible SS sink. We weren't ready to remodel, but I thought this Blanco sink would fit in the counter (top mount) as a temporary solution. I loved it at first. I received many compliments. But now, I've had this sink for 2+ years and like many other reviews, it has developed a white film that is impossible to get off. I bought the special dark sink cleaner, lime remover, soft scrub, baking soda, everything, but nothing works. The white film returns once it dries. I also bought the stainless steel sink grid, and it too has not worn very well. The grid is too large to go into the dishwasher, and very difficult to clean by hand. I am going to replace them both with a Kraus sink during my upcoming kitchen remodel.

Cracked Blanco Silgranit sink
I purchased this sink November 3, 2015. It was installed in my brand new kitchen shortly after arrival. I have loved the look of it with my Cambria quartz countertops. However, today the sink just cracked horizontally on the back side about 1" up from the bottom of the sink. The crack is nearly the entire lenth of the sink. Under the sink, my brand new cabinets that I custom ordered are drenched with water. I was working at the sink washing dishes without the stopper when it just popped loudly. While I loved the look of the sink, I would not recommend this sink to anyone. I have not reached Blanco yet, I left a message with their customer service answering machine. I am waiting to see what is going to happen. To get to the undermount sink. the countertops will have to be removed and I don't know if that can be removed without damaging the backsplash. To top it off, I have company coming in tonight for the holidays to stay with us for a week. Argh. Update: I spoke with Blanco Customer Service. They sent me a form to fill out. I submitted that with my original order form, the serial number of the sink located underneath the sink and photos. They tell me they will replace the sink but wil not warranty labor. So the labor to disconnect all the applicances, remove the two quartz countertops and potentially all the backsplash and redo is not covered.

This is the best sink I have every used/installed. Having had them all, porcelain, stainless steel, farmers, double, single and so on, this sink is incredible! First, the material is wonderful. Strong, easy to clean, and looks great! Sound attenuation is good. The offset drain is brilliant! Works well for dishes and pots and pans, with the added bonus of creating additional storage space in the cabinet below. I would recommend adding the Blanco 221-010 Sink Grid, it adds to the functionality and looks good too!
I would not buy or recommend the Blanco BL441095 drain. While it would have looked good, it did not work to reinstall the Insinkerator disposal. Had to reuse the old one. The retainer ring simply would not hold to the Bianco drain. While I would recommend buying the Bianco 440851 under-sink mounting clips incase your situation needs them, the sink came with clips included in the box (though they are different). In the end, my countertop installers created a plywood cradle to support the sink, so didn't need those either.
Be aware that this is a relatively DEEP sink. By the time the disposal is installed, with the required trap, the drain outlet in the wall needs to be fairly low (this is of course true of all deep sinks). If yours is not, you may need to revise the plumbing.
Finally, best of all is now much my wife loves this sink. Of all the work that went into the kitchen remodel, she comments most frequently about how much she enjoys using it. Happy wife, happy........happy!

Very nice material
Very pleased with the material of this composite sink. I've had Swanstone in the past and find this material is easier to clean and looks better than other products out there. Be aware that this is a very large sink and actually a bit too large for use as a kitchen sink. It really is more of a laundry sink. I had order and installed as a corner mounted kitchen sink. Now that I've lived with it for awhile, I realize the size is just too much. If you are going to mount it in a corner, the size requires that it be set back more than usual which makes for an awkward reach. The drawbacks I mention have nothing to do with the product.

Clean the sink with a product like Magic Eraser with some dish detergent. Not too much, just enough to clean the surface. After you have cleaned the sink, dry it out. Then apply an oil like mineral oil. Just use a single paper towel folded over and dampen with oil. Then just rub on to the surface. The sink will look better than when it came out of the box. Also, the mineral oil actually keeps the sink clean and you'll find that you'll be cleaning it less. Some people recommend using baby oil. Do not use olive oil or vegetable oil. You want to use an oil that is safe but does not go rancid. Some blogs recommend using WD-40. But there are comments about the safety of its' use. I decided to give it a try when my granite installer used a caulk that seemed to stain the sink. Since I didn't want to use a powder, I tried the WD-40. It worked great. Now WD-40 does have a smell but it goes away in less than a half hour. For those with any safety concerns, I highly recommend mineral or baby oil.

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY
This sink is terrible. We installed it in our vacation home which has limited use. And we purchased the base grate that protects it. We wash the sink routinely. Regardless the base is darkened and does not return to it's original color. The protective grate may help but the points where it touches the sink are also darkened and will not clean. Unfortunately we chose to under-mount the sink....our mistake.....Hopefully this info will save others the pain and dissatisfaction.

LOVE our Blanco Sink!!!
I'm posting this as a service to others who will find themselves in my position when it's time to update their kitchens. My wife and I were looking for a black, composite sink for our kitchen update. We went to Lowe's, Menard's, and Home Depot to check out their products. I first noted their prices; many items were less expensive than what we thought we'd spend on a sink. We then went to the reviews where we spent DAYS reading each one. It turns out, the items we found at the places listed were cheap for a reason; nobody seemed completely happy. Then we started looking on Amazon and found this sink from Blanco. We were pleased with the reviews, even though the price was a bit more than we expected. But you get what you pay for, correct? Needless to say, we bought the Blanco sink in January 2018, and have been completely happy! Every time we take people on a tour of our remodeled kitchen, they stop and FIRST ask what kind of sink it is, and SECOND, they comment about how BIG the single tub is! I love washing dishes now because I'm not clanking the sides (or middle) of the sink with a pan and giving it extra scratch marks. My wife also comments LESS on my current dish-washing abilities (I always cringed when I made a scratch as she notices everything!) We also bought the rack that goes in the bottom of the sink so that nothing can scratch the bottom. The water runs down to the right, single drain nicely, and the Moen finger-print free faucet is a great addition. We also bought the drain basket (stopper) for the drain which helps the water go down slowly (most of the time we don't really use it, so ask yourself if you "need" it before buying.) All-in-all, we love our new Blanco sink because of the deep, single tub, as well as it being scratch-free, chip-free, and heat resistant. Just be sure to check reviews on EVERY product before purchasing. Good luck!

Love it, a good buy - durable
I installed this as an overmount sink with a 1-hole faucet. I love the single bowl (tried it in a previous house and will never go back to having a wall inside my sink to bang large pots on). I was somewhat skeptical about the material, worried about durability and scratches/stains. The durability was surprising - the material is thick and very strong, I don't think it could be cracked unless you hit it with a sledge hammer. The manual says that metal marks from pots are caused by the sink honing off metal from the pot, since the sink is a stronger material than the metal. That appears to be true. Pot metal streaks wipe right off of the sink. I did not have to punch out any of the extra holes, so can't rate that. One issue during installation - I put this in a 1.5" thick butcher block countertop, and the clips that come with the sink can only expand up to 1.25", so they were unusable in my application. I just put a bead of silicone sealant down and set the sink into that, and it's strong as it needs to be. The price was also good for something this durable, not sure why so many sinks are crazy expensive. I love this sink - would definitely buy again and highly recommend.

I replaced our dual cast iron/porcelain sink with this model after upgrading our appliances in the kitchen from white to black stainless. Wow, what a difference a new sink makes .I should have replaced it a long time ago!

To my surprise, the new sink was about 1/2 the weight of our old cast iron sink. Installation went smoothly with the old hardware except for the counter top hole size. The mounting brackets on the new sink stuck out just enough to prevent it from slipping into the existing hole. As such, I had to enlarge the counter top hole by 1/4" on both sizes.
Instead of using a punch to remove the plugs, I bought and used an inexpensive 35mm diamond hole saw from Amazon. The process took about 10 seconds per hole and eliminated any possibility of chipping or cracking. I noticed that the "punch here" stickers weren't line up perfectly with the holes. Take that into consideration and double check the alignment before punching them out. I highly recommend the hole saw method as it leaves a perfect finish each and every time.
Despite what the instructions said, I ended up using plumbers putty for the sink's drain. I wasn't concerned with discoloration because the sink is black and the area is hidden. I used 100% pure silicon around the edge of the sink to adhere it to the counter tops. I didn't bother installing the included clips because the silicon and weight of the disposal/sink will keep it from moving.
Compared to the old double sink, the new sink is HUGE! Dividers in 50/50 and 60/40 sinks take up ~1/4 of the sinks total capacity. Without the divider, one can soak a huge turkey roaster and still have enough room to rinse dishes before putting them into the dishwasher.
The finish of the Blanco sink is matte black with a light texture and some small specks of silver mixed in. I can't attest to it's durability as I've only had the sink for a couple of weeks.

Awesome sink
I absolutely love this sink. I've had it for 2 years and it looks like new. I can't stand things sitting in the sink so I don't need or want two bowls. With the drain offset though, you do have the option of setting things in it without a problem, though they might get splashed a bit. My 15" cast iron skillet fits flat inside so i can wash it without having it pitched at a slant half hanging out. The only ting so far that hasn't lain flat are the oven grates. My three fit in at a slant at once, but can still readily be covered with water to soak. The silgranite does not scratch. It may be able to be chipped but despite my not treating gingerly, that hasn't happened and i doubt it ever will.
I have the blanco grate that fits it also and highly recommend that too. (When i move it's coming with me to go into my next sink, which will be the appropriate color of the same sink). The grate allows water to drain underneath whatever you have in the sink, and makes it easier to reach the bottom for those of us who are more vertically challenged. It has rubber feet and bumpers so it doesn't hit the silgranite directly, and it does not rust. I scub it eith a brush regularly, and occasionally flip it over so it lies lower in the sink and bleach it because it does get gunky. Anyway the sink is a real keeper.

I can get a single bowl version of the Kohler double I have now but that is like $1, 000
Unfortunately I received this sink as several others did: It was scuffed on top and badly enough that I had to return it. and THIS is the primary reason I use Amazon. It is a piece of cake to return. I printed the label and UPS is supposed to come by and pick it up tomorrow. I am debating whether to still replace the sink that I have. I really want a single bowl, but they all seem to have a fairly regular record of coming cracked and scratched (which makes me wonder how they will hold up). I can get a single bowl version of the Kohler double I have now but that is like $1,000!!! Not sure I am going to finish this part of the project. Wish there was more selection.

Update. After speaking to customer service and being told the punch out was not a defect and they have absolutley nothing to fix any defects on their product, I am downgrading them to a 1 star. It's sad you sell a product that cracks that easily but have nothing to repair it with to sell.
This is a very nice and heavy sink. The hole for the faucet is already out but the one for the soap dispenser is not. It has a sticker and tells you to use a hammer to punch it out. Followed instructions to a T but the corner got a hairline crack in it!!!. Should never have cracked that easily. Am trying to find something to fix it so it won't get worse.

I rarely write reviews, but this is a phenomenal sink. Do yourself a favor and just buy it. We owned a Ruvati sink prior to this one, and all the food collected at the bottom of the sink. We had to clean the sink each night after cleaning the kitchen. We got the Blanco sink in granite. It is easy to clean. It drains well. In short, it is an absolute pleasure to own. By far the best sink we have owned. Please do yourself a favor and buy the sink. It’s beautiful. Our Ruvati is in the laundry room and is better there.

Great sink!
This sink was recommended to me by a local kitchen and bath place so I decided to try it out. It's so wonderful! I went from a dual sink to this and holy crap am glad I did. I bake a lot and washing pans in a dual sink is painful. It is no longer so! I went ahead and got the grate for the sink and I'm super glad I did. It makes the surface level and really easy to rinse!
There are 5 or 6 knockout holes pre drilled that you can easily remove to have more accessories mounted, but it does come with the center one already knocked out. All you need is a pick of some kind (screwdriver will work) and a ball-peen hammer to knock out the holes.
I placed this sink in my countertop and just set it there, no caulk, and it looks perfectly fine!
The ONLY thing I don't like is that it says Blanco on the top left, but it's faint and not obvious and I rarely notice it.

Really deep and beautiful - but not pure bright white
Bought this in two sizes for a kitchen remodel. Smallest is a prep sink close to the range.
this Mid size is surprisingly large capacity. It makes the most of its footprint and it is almost utility sink deep. Location of faucet in the corner works for my application.
Just FYI on the silgranit color. It's slightly off-white. Close-up you can see the subtle mix of colors give it a very light but off-white hue with some particles that are light grey and cream. If you want pure white I recommend you look at the Swanstone range, their white is closer to what you would expect from white fireclay, but with the same satin finish as this silgranit sink, similar composite materials. I like this finish and don't need to match it to pure white so thumbs up.

this is horrible! I'm cleaning it way more than I should
We used to have a stainless sink and with our hard water we were constantly using soft scrub to make it shine. I thought to get rid of the problem we'd get a white sink to go in our new kitchen... I have to say, this is horrible! I'm cleaning it way more than I should. I use soft scrub on it daily because i have to... otherwise the stains are disgusting. I understand sinks are dirty and my cleaning in between is spraying the sink with a disinfectant.. but with this sink I'm - on a daily basis - pulling out the rubber gloves and scrubbbbbing the coffee stain, the tomato sauce stain, the whatever stain. Unless you're using it just for water, its really a lot of work.

Great sink; CRAPPY packaging!
We love our Blanco sinks—this small one is for our newly-finished basement. It’s the perfect size and a gorgeous color. We have a full-size Blanco sink in our kitchen. We’ve had that one for three years and absolutely love it. The granite composite is attractive, durable and looks great with quartz (kitchen) and wood (basement).
What I don’t appreciate is the ridiculous packaging of the small one (I don’t remember the kitchen sink packaging). The box is massive, which is fine—it fully protected the sink in shipping. The spray-foam or whatever nightmare substance stuck to the inside of the box rendered it UN-recyclable. Moreover, it was extremely difficult and time-consuming to get the foam out of the box (it was stuck to every interior surface except the top of the box). I had to take the foam out so I can break the box down for trash pick-up. This is reprehensible. It was a huge hassle, it’s not environmentally friendly and the gross foam is floating around.

I can’t rate the use of the sink but I can rate it’s packaging. The sink looks great but we are now on our fifth replacement since the previous four sinks have all arrived broken! It’s either the packaging or UPS but in either case the edges are broken off (as shown in the picture) each time! This has caused a 3 month delay on our kitchen remodel not to mention an increase to costs for reschedulings of installation. I wish I could order a different sink but the countertop was already cut to fit, if we have the fifth sink arrive broken I will need to pay the extra $1200 to have a new countertop cut because this is simply unacceptable

Remarkable Product
Purchasing this sink meant stepping out of my comfort zone for a number of reasons. I've had stainless and porcelain in the past, both double sinks, so this choice was difficult. I was concerned that it wouldn't withstand the constant usage and abuse that kitchen sinks are often exposed to such as breakage, scratching, and stains. I was also a bit fearful that, due to its size, it would overwhelm the other accent points in my kitchen renovation. I waited to review this until I have had a chance to put it to the test. Fortunately, I was wrong on all counts. This sink has met, and exceeded my expectations. It's tough, resilient, and looks just as gorgeous as the day it was installed-no scratches, stains, or imperfections.
The color description, Cinder, is a bit misleading. I couldn't be sure if I was ordering a black or grey sink. The actual color is a rich dark grey.
For those who are considering the idea of installing it as a drop-in sink rather than an undermount, rest assured that it will blend in perfectly. The lip around the edge is low profile and seamless, extending a little over 1/4' above the counter top. As for eliminating the double-sink option, I couldn't be happier. I have gained at least 2-3 more inches of space as well as an extra inch of depth and no longer worry about knocking large pots, platters, or plates against the side of the center divider. Another concern I had was the location of the drain on the right side and proper drainage. Not a problem - the sink is dry by morning, and if I want to give it a quick clean during the day, a simple swipe with a dishtowel is all it takes.
As for installation, it was a breeze, but definitely takes two people. As for the clips that came with it, I didn't have a need to install them,. which was one less concern resolved. I would recommend that you use a more expensive sealant to eliminate any possibility of water seeping in around the edges. Don't make the mistake of using too much sealer like I did or you'll be having to remove the excess with rubbing alcohol. I would also encourage a strong protector grid, mDesign Kitchen Sink Protector Grid - Large, Matte Black, and dish rack, Umbra Sinkin In-Sink Dish Rack, Smoke, for the bottom, to avoid potential accidents.
If you're still fearful of making the switch to a granite composite, don't be. It has proven to be well worth the extra $!!!

Good Sink
We had the same sink, but it was stained from the previous owner. I am not sure what they did. This was the simplest direct replacement for us. Packaging was good and clean. No issues.
