Read My Review!!! Do Not Buy Before Reading!!!!
Really disappointed with these headphones. They have the potential to be pretty good. However, if your head is on the average to smaller size, you are going to find that they don't secure well enough over your ears and head (too big and not enough clamp pressure) causing sound leakage and poor sound quality/bass overall. I had to consistently push the headphones up against my ears to hear the full potential of the sound and bass. Otherwise, it sounds like your headphones are halfway on all of the time. Was also not impressed with the packaging these came in. Box was cheap and the headphones looked like they had been taken out and used by someone else (they had dirt on them). At this point, especially considering the price of these, I absolutely cannot recommend them and should have listened to the other reviewers on here that stated similar problems.

Best sounding WIRELESS headsets in $500 range
There are a good number of excellent wireless headsets ("cans") out there today and I have probably listened to most of them.
They all offer something that the others lack, be it "bang for the buck" value for the dollar, superior noise-cancellation, or seamless blue-tooth/microphone integration.
This beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless Copper set is simply the best sounding cans in the wireless category. Period.
The Sennheiser HD 660 S certainly gave the beyerdynamic Amirons a run for its money--in terms of tonal quality. And the other two sets I had whittled my search down to--the bowers & wilkins PX7 and Sony WH-1000XM3s--challenged the beyerdynamic Amirons on other fronts, such as superior blue-tooth phone call integration (the PX7s) or noise cancellation (the Sonys).
But if you want THE BEST SOUNDING WIRELESS CANS in the $500 range, the beyerdynamics Amirons are it. Beyerdynamics, when faced with a technical consideration between sound quality or, say, blue-tooth integration or noise-cancelling, ALWAYS picks sound quality. Which is not to say that the beyerdynamic Amirons do not offer state-of-the-art bluetooth or noise cancellation. They do.
But when it came between offer audio-fidelity-nirvana and having to program in a a sound wave that realized COMPLETE noise cancellation but damages audio fidelity, beyerdynamics ditched the noise-cancelling sound wave, deciding to rely on their superb ear pads to eliminate a good 75% of the ambient room of the room you are in (the Boses, for instance, eliminate virtually 100% of ambient room noise).
And I have never had an issue--yet--where still being able to hear a bit of what is going on during a phone call or Zoom meeting caused me to pause and ask the folks to pipe down. It's all white noise that is an easy price to pay for the unsurpassed sound quality.
Both microphones perform superbly: one built-into the headsets (during wireless mode) and the other on the wired-jack connector. Not all wireless sets offer a wired-jack option--and that these beyerdynamics DO underscores, again, the dedication to sound quality as a hard-wire connection will always--ALWAYS--outperform a wireless mode for sound quality.
And I find myself only going to wireless when I have to and when sound quality is not critical, such as during a phone call or Zoom meeting. But at 32 ohms impedance and with a 3.5mm wired-jack, these beyers are built to accentuate the best out of my Samsung Galaxy smartphone on my Amazon Prime UltraHD Music service.

Revising my review down to 1 star.
People like the sound quality of these, but there are so many better options.
The material on the band came open on the left side and tugs at my hair. It looks like the material was glued down and the right side is opening up too.
The ear pads leave a dark stain on fabric that they touch. They’ve left dark stains on sheets and my couch.
They're so heavy that they cause a neck ache if worn for too long.
At around 10% battery, the headphones begin emitting an alarm to let the user know that the battery is low. The piercing sound of the alarm makes them unusable at that point. This effectively reduces the total amount of time they can be used by about 10%!
The power off functionality is bugged. When the headphones are powered off, they often immediately power back on.
When used as wired headphones through a USB 3 cable, the headphones power on and immediately go into pairing mode.
On both Windows 10 and Mac, audio drops out occasionally with no easy method to restore it. This occurs when there are two or more applications outputting audio and then one of them stops. It cuts the audio for ALL applications outputting audio. So for example, if you are listening to music in Spotify and then watch a news clip on YouTube, when the news clip ends… silence. All audio is gone for all applications. Cycling the headphone power does not fix this. Closing and reopening the applications does not fix this. Cycling bluetooth off and on does not fix this. Again, this happens on both Windows 10 and Mac, with a variety of applications, and only with these headphones. It happens often. It’s so incredibly frustrating. After doing some Googling, I discovered this has been a known bug with APTX headphones for over two years, so I doubt it will ever be fixed.

Great Sound, very solid and sturdy, but Uncomfortable
I have found the sound to be superior to all other brands I have tried. This include Sony, Sennheiser, Bose, and Beats. This is really fine German engineering. But these headphones are not made for comfort. Perhaps that is an issue with German engineering. They are very solidly built, but they do not conform comfortably to my head. And the ear pieces do not breathe, so my ears get uncomfortable. Perhaps they need to have a high tech plastic that bends, and conforms, but also does not break. But I wanted to best sounding headphones, and these were the best sounding. I think what really distinguishes the sound is a high quality bass response. I do not mean the pounding bass of the Beats, but the high quality tonal base that goes with good Jazz and Classical music. Although I have criticisms, I chose these headphones because of the great sound. I am willing to put up with the issues regarding lack of comfort. I wish the Beyer engineers could learn from Sony and Beats as to how to produce really comfortable headphones. The materials are really high quality, but they are not flexible, which is needed for comfort around your head and ears.

Utter disappointment
The minute you try these on you realize how much you’ve been missing out when listening to music. The details and body of sound coming out of these is amazing (even better when using a DAC/AMP). Feels rugged, except for the two fragile cables running out of the cups.
I got these for Christmas and after almost two weeks the padding and cable on the headband popped out. They still sounded amazing, but I had them replaced out of fear of breaking out of the return period. I considered that unacceptable in headphones this price and from a manufacturer like Beyerdynamic.
Replacement came in and I kept rediscovering my favorite artists. I used them wired most of the time, and only via Bluetooth when on the go because I could connect my DAP (LG V30) and my iPhone simultaneously.
One day the touchpad stopped working, and it stopped working while the volume was low. I thought ‘maybe if it would have stopped while at max volume I would keep them’. But again, that’s unacceptable for the price, type of headphones (Bluetooth, and the touchpad being one of the major selling points) and manufacturer’s reputation.
I was so disappointed because I really loved the sound that came out of them. Out of nowhere, the touchpad started working again, but only for a few days. Ever since I got the first ones I was only using them at home and during my weekly flights. No drops or anything like that, I was taking really good care of them.
I had to contact Amazon a million times in regards to all this mess. And I got to say, it was painful to deal with the overseas Amazon Customer Service Center, wherever that is. They were disrespectful, unqualified and unwilling. The customer experience was the worse I’ve had in a long while. So the last calls I immediately asked to be transferred to someone in America. They were very professional, well trained, understanding and definitely more helpful.
FWIW, there seems to be some fitting issue with the Amiron Wireless. The sound much better with a pillow under your head pressing the cups in.

How to get the best out of the Amiron Wireless Copper.
I recently bought the Amiron Wireless Copper. Before this I was using Sennheiser's Momentum Wireless 3.0. I also have other wired headphones including Sennheiser's HD600, HD650, and Stax's 007 Omega 2.
I was looking for wireless headphones with sound quality approaching the wired headphones. This is a tall order and the Momentum Wireless is not quite up to that, sounding very bloated in the bass and congested rendering complex music. In comparison, the Amiron Wireless Copper sounds significantly better from the get go. Most noticeably is the much higher resolution and the ease in presenting complex music in an unforced manner.
It does has a weakness - the bass is somewhat subdued and reading around suggested that it is due to the pads which may not produce a tight seal against the ear unless one's head is a perfect fit for it - mine is not. There is a simple solution, tough, third-party pads, and in particular, the Dekoni Sheepskin pads. Pad replacement is straightforward and the Dekoni pads provide excellent seal which gives rise to deep and well-defined bass. Most importantly, the bass is not bloated like the Momentum Wireless but very defined and controlled.
With the Dekoni pads the Amiron Wireless Copper is playing at the top-level, wireless and wired phones considered. The Stax perhaps still offer more details and also has a unique lightness of sound which may or may not be accurate. But overall I can listen to the Dekoni all day long and not miss the Stax.
One other experience is that my Amiron developed some noises on the right side when playing music with certain bass frequences such as double bass. It sounded like something is loose and rattling against the driver. This seems to be a common issue with Beyerdynamics phones and it can be fixed:
- First remove the pad.
- Next pop off the outer ring which holds the screen in place. Note the notch location when putting it back later.
- Without the ring the screen will fall right all.
- Some online videos showed disassembling of the driver further (in other phones models) but I didn't seem to be able to do that for the Amiron and I don't want to risk damaging it. Instead I use a can of compressed air, and gently blow air parallel to the driver's surface. Don't use full blow, just squeeze the can slightly so that airs are gently blown across. In my case this is enough to clear the driver of whatever it is rattling against and the noise is gone.
- Test it first and once the noise is confirmed gone then put the screen back, follow by the right, and finally the pad. Job done!
I hope this help someone who run into similar problems. Other than this hiccup, the Amiron Wireless Copper together with the Dekoni Sheepskin pad is both excellent sounding and very comfortable to wear even for hours on end. As far as wireless headphones go it is probably the best on the market now.

Two units broke within a day (power/pairing button).
My first unit's LED button, which is used for powering on/off and for pairing, broke on the day after I receive the headset after using it less than 5 times beyond initial setup.

Everything else is fine. Sound quality was great. I found them comfortable. They paired with the Avantree HT4189 transmitter in AptX LL mode. The headphones verbally confirm what bluetooth mode/codex is being used when connecting which is great.
For this price though, I'm not willing to try again and hope the third one works. Even if it does, I'm going to worry about it breaking after the warranty runs out.

Bow before the king (Amiron Copper)
Amazon should have separated at least Amiron Home and Wireless reviews. This one is about the latest (end of 2019) Amiron model - it's top of the line Copper edition, which is surprisingly sold for $75 less than the regular (old) Amiron Wireless.
First thing first. Read the reviews, especially the part about it's "bass problem". Amiron Copper's bass was fine to begin with - even with suede stock ear pads. The company probably implemented the necessary adjustments. However I ordered aftermarket ones (Brainwavs sheepskin) and they did add a little bit of bass, which I'm debating is too much for me now. They are softer and super comfy though compared to the stock ones. Nor I can return them, as they required trimming. In any other aspect the sound is amazing. Like ALL professional reviews say, Amiron is currently the best wireless headphones on the market sound-wise. I can live w/o noise cancelling or the range of Bluetooth 5. 4.2 with its 10 meters is enough.
My journey into high-end headphones started with Sony XM3, which got rave reviews, praising it's sound quality (among other things). I'll write a separate review on that. Let's just say, it's as dull, as ever, and their two key demographics: those who equate headphones with the Beats brand, and those sporting Bose QC15 w/o a cord on airplanes used as a (very expensive ) ear plug, will find themselves right at home with Sony's noise cancelling and muddy bass. Now, to be fair, the DAC and analog amplifier did make it sound smooth - kind of like a soft tube amplifier playing already soft vinyl sound. That wasn't what I was looking for. I highly doubt Sony changed the XM4 sound signature, since its bean counters are catering to the same ex-Beats masses.
Then came the Sennheiser Momentum 3, which is another extreme: boosting all frequencies to the point the upper mids (vocals) and highs are borderline painful for one's years. The vibrant bass was nice, though I had to dial it down anyway. What's up with bass obsession nowadays? Well, I guess I'm not part of Sony or Beats demographics, since I don't listen to mainstream rap and R&B pop frequent on iHeart and similar radios. Even my kind of EDM (vocal trance, progressive/uplifting, breaks, etc.) is not that bass-heavy. As for classical music, all headphones play it relatively well, though the king (I am reviewing now) sounds (pun intended) majestic. I haven't tried anything complex like Rachmaninov. The complexity, whether EDM or classical, is what sets Momentum 3 and Beyerdynamic's offerings (Lagoon and Amiron) apart. M3 cannot handle more than a few instruments, indiscriminately boosting and mashing them together.
I din't like M3's harshness and clearly artificial sound signature. I still don't understand the concept of a "soundstage". M3 do sound "spacious", but the sound is still not coming from the "outside" (unless one is on drugs I guess). One of the M3 reviews mentioned Beyerdynamic Lagoon, so I ordered it. What a difference! Finally, after decades (of being cheap when it comes to audio), I could listen to something w/ a flat equalizer profile. No adjustments at all. BTW does wishing for a 20-band equalizer make me an "audiophile"?
I read a few more reviews on Lagoon and found how Beyerdynamic deals with various sound issues like the aforementioned Sennheiser's harshness. The review mentioned, that Sennheiser uses a similar approach: the dip around 3.5Khz. Go figure - definitely not on that supposedly "new" model to woo Millennials.
I would have kept Lagoons if they weren't designed for little kids. An adult can barely fit his ears inside the cups. The driver itself presses on the ear. It becomes uncomfortable after about an hour resulting in dizziness and headache. The sound was so clean though. Amazed with never before experienced sound clarity I wanted the ultimate headphones.
Also at that point I realized only Sony got the noise cancelling right - at the expense of the sound quality. The price I wasn't willing to pay. As for the rest of ANC Bluetooth headphones, they all do the same (mediocre) job, as my ancient Bose QC15, that came out with such tech first.
One nice thing about both Lagoon and Amiron vs. say Sennheiser M3, let alone Sony XM3 is they select AptX codec on both my Android phone and MBP computer. There is a noticeable difference between AAC (default for Macs) and AptX. Haven't yet tried AptX HD. I believe I need to somehow enable it on my phone.
Pros:
- Incredible detailed sound including rich bass (maybe even too much w/ aftermarket ear pads). In any case no equalizer necessary.
- luxurious build and feel; very comfortable
- battery life
- AptX preference on both Android phones and Mac computers and support for AptX HD. Same sound on bothe the phone and computer, whether other headphones favored the phone.
- MIY app does brighten the sound by turning the "personalization" on. My guess is since I could hear all frequencies during the hearing test, it equally boosts all of them a little.
- plenty of volume (I typically listen at 60%, which seems loud)
- smooth touchpad - way better than Sony's with the same gestures.
- not that one would use a $500 headset for calls, but that works well too
- can connect to two devices even with Bluetooth 4.2
Cons:
- Bluetooth 4.2 and it's range limitations.
- the music often pauses for a split second: not sure if that's the network or Bluetooth

Incredible sound quality!!
I've been searching for the Bluetooth headphone with the absolute best sound quality available. I think I found them in the Hifiman Ananda BT. I paid the $1,000.00 price tag and listened to them for a week and they were indeed the best I've ever heard. the problem with them was 2-fold. first, they were open back and the sound leakage to the outside was so prominent that I could not listen to them in the presence of my wife without concern that she might ask for a divorce. Second, they were so big and awkward looking that I dare not wear them in public for fear of being mistake for an extraterrestrial. They were so large that they seemed to completely cover my entire head on both sides. As a result, I ended up returning them and continued my search for the ultimate closed back Bluetooth headphone. I am happy to report that I have found them.
The Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless does not quite exhibit the feeling of airiness and openness as the Ananda BT with magnetic planar drivers, but does provide impeccable detail that I never knew could be experienced in a dynamic headphone. These will do for me until they come out with a closed back Bluetooth headphone with magnetic planar drivers that is for music listeners only, similar to the Audeze Mobius but without all the gaming technology. I highly recommend the Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless to those looking for near audiophile sound quality.

Excellent headphones with excellent build quality. While no headphone is perfect, these headphones are much better for sound quality that any other major brands I’ve listened to. I’m super
picky and every aspect of these headphones I found to be excellent. They’re not noise canceling headphones, however, they do dampen much of the surrounding noises and I’m glad that these headphones are not noise canceling because the sound quality rocks! The copper and black material look awesome as well. I enjoy happy face while also enjoying excellent music and I found the headphones to have Excellent base for base heads and also well-balanced for audio files listeners. I’m no sound pro but really like to listen to music driven with power and these Rock! Added an AudioEngine D1 dac/amp to the systems which totally blew me away with the sound quality!!!!

The Best!
I consider myself an audiofile. I must say, these are the hands down, best sounding headphones I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. I bought them during an extended hospital stay and they made all the difference. I use them during dialysis which takes 4 hours and I get to tune out. Yes, they are not cheap, but believe me, money well spent. The battery life is great, and they warn u in plenty of time b4 they die. Initially I had some difficulty with the app but once I got everything updated to new software, it wked fine. Just wonderful!!!

Just amazing! Best Hi-Res Bluetooth Headphones!
This Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless Copper are just incredible. The build quality is outstanding. The sound is super detailed and precise.
Soundstage (for a closed back) - 9/10
Comfort - 9/10.
I can wear them for 9-12 hours without any problem. You also can try Dekoni Audio Replacement Ear Pads for update. It is really good.
Detail - 9.5/10.
From the lows to the highs, they sound just right. Bass could be more defined, hence the .5 but as a bass head, it isn’t a problem. Vocals are beautiful.

PINNACLE SOUND, COMFORTABLE, AND AWESOME BATTERY LIFE
The sound quality is exactly what I've come to expect from Beyerdynamic. Beautiful lows and mids, naturally. With the MY app from Beyerdynamic, the access to a few preset EQs took these headphones next level. Along with that the app runs you through a thorough hearing test which builds a custom profile for the headphones. This takes these BDs well past my DT 770 Pros. Battery life is great so far. I've used them a number of times, for hours, and have yet to charge them a second time. The Alcantera ear pads are soft against the head and make for comfortable listening even after hours of wear.

Best headphones I own
As someone who has constant tinnitus, these are a godsend. The app is able to accentuate the frequencies that I would normally barely hear making listening to music a much better experience.
Another noted feature that I love is that if you are using them in wired mode the battery isn't used at all. This actually leads to the only negative thing I could think of for these: the sound profile isn't used in wired mode.

Best Sounding Headphones — Wired or Wireless
First wireless headphones. Surprised how great they sound for non-wired headphones. For the price they seem a little cheaply made. Must keep head perfectly still to not hear external peripheral noice of plastic parts moving; does not bother me, may bother others.

Needs more refinements. Myapp impossible and frustrating to set up. Over priced junk. German?
Very nice quality headphones but still need some refinements in sound and power. Impossibe to set up on MIYAPP for the supposedly enhanced sound signal. Close but no cigar! Sound not that good. Very hollow sounding. I do not know what these companies are trying to peddle. Overpriced junk.

Amazing sound quality but bad customer support
The headphones sounded incredible, and Amazon was very helpful through the whole procedure. However Beyerdynamics would not respond to me asking for a warranty repair. I would recommend these headphones if I knew they wouldn't break at all, as the build quality seemed fantastic however the lackluster customer support from Beyerdynamics left a bad taste in my mouth.

Awesome wireless headset
After 100 hours of burn-in, sound is very satisfying and excellent for a bluetooth headset. very comfortable but weight a bit heavy for long hour use (ex. 5 hours plus) ... 30 hours battery life means you only charge it while sleeping lol. shipping handling is perfect.

Mistake in listing .. These are two separate products
The new beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless Copper Hi-Res Bluetooth Headphones are what this site is supposed to be about. The reviews shown are for the Beyerdynamic Amiron Home headphones. BIG difference. The site shows a choice between copper and black. When you click 'copper' (this product) the price in the high $600s is shown .. When you click 'black' the the Amiron Home (different product) priced in the mid $300s is shown.
Furthermore, if you search for and find the Beyerdynamic Amiron Home product, you'll find the same set of reviews.
Please fix this.

Great Sound but bad build quality
Best sounding headphones I ever had but every time you face or jaw moves, the unit creaks loudly. It will drive you insane. Plus no response from Beyerdynamic. Support phone disconnected and no response from email. Going to return to Amazon.

Ich hatte zu diesen Zeitpunkt nicht vor den Kopfhörer zu kaufen, da mir 800eur für Kopfhörer ehrlich gesagt zu viel sind.
Als ich den Kopfhörer dann bekam änderte sich meine Meinung aber rasant, der Tragekomfort ist unvergleichbar!
Selbst nach 12 Stunden kein unwohles Gefühl an den Ohren.
Ich verwende die Kopfhörer für Videoschnitt. Daher war es mir wichtig das die Übertragung 1:1 ist.
Und das ist sie, es besteht absolut keine Verzögerung.
Einziges Manko finde ich ist die geringe Lautstärke. Wohlgemerkt über Bluetooth.
Da ich unbedingt kabellose Kopfhörer wollte, benutze ich die Amiron Copper nur über Bluetooth.
Und dabei ist mir aufgefallen das sich die Lautstärke nicht wirklich sehr laut einstellen lässt.
Für meine Einsatzzwecke am in Ordnung.
