Bought one of these to try after reading reviews that it's better than the UV5R and it does work but still quirky when manually programming. After programming multiple repeaters and saving to channels, some of the data does not transfer. This issue is likely resolved when programming using Chirp on a pc but haven't done that yet. One thing I don't like is having to constantly turn the radio off and then back on while holding a button down to switch between channel mode and frequency mode is a pain. Hand mic is also a problem with this radio.
I like the UV5R much better.

Radio works quite nice! Using it for camping and security, dropped it a couple times and it still works fine. It did not come with the ear piece as advertised, so I contacted them and they sent me one pretty quick!

for a basic transciever you can't beat it. well beyond my expectations. its no motorola or kenwood, but it definitely get the job done for the price. Planning on purchasing 2-3 more.

Excelente radio
Un radio de buena calidad y potencia. Con excelentes capacidades de recepción y transmisión. El cambio de antena es una opción necesaria si se quiere mejorar el desempeño del radio.

el diseño es el clásico de todo radio frecuencia pero presenta una gran cantidad de opciones de operación, el material es solido y hasta donde lo he utilizado esta perfecto para el aire libre.

Uno de los mejores equipos de baofeng
tiene muy buena recepción y transmisión, a diferencia de los otros equipos de baofeng este no se satura tanto la recepción en ciudad.

Lo uso en partidas de paintball y tiene muy buena recepción y es fácil de configurar. Además el manos libres resulta muy útil.
