I love this flat iron. I've been using it for a couple of years, and I wish I'd had it years ago. My hairstylist has one and, after seeing how much better results she got with it than I was getting with my old one, I had to buy one. It wasn't long before I threw my old one in the garbage, where it belonged. I love this one. You do have to be careful about using it at full heat or holding it for too long at a time on your hair because there is an increased chance of singeing. It also gets rather hot on the outside of the plate section, so beware of that.

Do NOT purchase this item. The ceramic plate bowed and shot put hot pieces while I was standing nearby. Sparks and small flames were visible. It was so dangerous and scary. I am grateful I was standing far enough away not to be harmed and that my kids were not nearby.

Came in new condition, no scratches. Works great, very light-weight, heats up quickly. Lost a star only because of the "advanced styling feature". The top heats up allowing you to curl your hair with this iron..which is great, but it burns your finger if you're just trying to straighten your hair. I will be buying a heat resistant glove to use with it to stop this from happening, but since I need to spend money on an extra to fix this, that's why it's not perfect.
Besides that, I'm mixed and my hair is naturally curly, and after I blow dry my hair, spray tresemme heat protectant, then use this...it gets straight after just 1 pass (I put it on setting 40 because my hair is naturally curly and the roots need that heat the stay straight..if you have wavy thin hair I would lower the setting to 25 or 30).
Also loved the same day shipping with Amazon prime!! <3

I had bought this because so many reviews said it made their hair silky, not frizzy like some (often ceramic) straighteners do.
It does curl and straighten my hair well, but I need to put a LOT of product in before and after, and it still gets puffy. I have used other, titanium straighteners and they were much more satisfying. Maybe it was because I got mine shipped from Amazon and not from the Babyliss Pro? I hear sometimes if you do not buy from they source they could be fakes, which often means inferior quality. That seems to be what I got!
Oh, and my hair is not thick or thin and it's only a little wavy- maybe it's not good for that hair-type!

I buy BaByliss all the time - I probably buy a new one every year because I use it daily, but this version is not very good. It doesn't clamp together evenly and pulls on my hair. I bought the $70 version that is not titanium and it does a much better job than this one.

Just received today!! I had two Chi flat irons before purchasing this one and was hesitant about trying a different brand especially when they cost about the same.Also, the reviews can make it a little hard to decide whether it is worth it.It really is a beauty!It is super thin and it is longer than any flat iron i've ever had.You have the option of controlling the heat which is great and the cord seems to be pretty long which is always a plus.It has a 0-50 setting and i put it at 43 just to try out.First thing i noticed is that it took about 2 seconds to heat up lol.It left my hair super straight in no time and i have really long,thick hair so i'm excited and happy with my purchase so far!

I don't have as much time to get ready as I used to with an infant and a toddler so this thing is a life saver!I can see it damaging your hair over time if used at the highest setting but then again we complain if flat irons don't "work that well".All heat products damage hair so i recommend using heat protectant and not using all the way up to 45-50.

I have only been having this item for 3 months and it already has a short in the swival part and shuts off when i pick it up. The last iron i spent this much on lasted 4 years. Dont waste your money!

Like so many others said, it doesn't close all the way. It's definitely defective. The manufacturer package was opened when I received my flat iron, so maybe I got one someone had already returned. I'm not sure. Either way, I'm returning it.

I was so excited waiting on the arrival of my BabByliss Pro today, I had washed, conditioned and dryed my hair. My stylist in San Francisco introduced me to this product so I knew the results would be wonderful. When I relocated to South Carolina I couldn't find a stylist that used the Nano Titanium Professional Straightener. I am African American woman with beautiful God given white hair because it is a bit course and I have to be careful as to the amount of heat too much can scorch my hair. So I decided to purchase my own BaByliss Pro. I parted my hair used a Silicon Mix Hair Polisher and began the straightening process. I started with the temperature setting at 15 and found the best setting for me was 35. I am so happy with the finish product, my hair is soft, shiny, has body and my husband loves it. What I am most happy about I can now wear my hair in it's natural state or straighten it when I want. I like the fact that I was able to get close to my scalp without burning my head. Ladies, I highly recommend this product you won't be disappointed.

This is the worst product I've bought from Amazon. It caused breakage on my ends of my hair. No matter how low I turned the dial down, it still caused damage. Definitely DO NOT use if you have fine hair.

This iron I bought us faulty. It turns off after a few minutes. It does not stay plugged in nor does it get as hot as it should. I bought the same iron last year and it worked great but it got stepped on and broke. I think I received a faulty unit but I'm 1 week past my 30 day return

I had a CHI and HSI in the past and they died so I was in the market for a new flat iron. Off of some recommendations I decided to try this babybliss. When it arrived it looked so skinny and thin that I thought "no way can this work on my thick wavy hair". Well I was WRONG. This little beast did a phenomenal job straightening my hair. One pass through and it looked smooth and divine. The flatiron is so easy to use because it is lightweight. I'm also excited as it will be better for travel. So glad I tried this one. DO IT! Also to add, not sure why people are reviewing and saying it is fake. Or complaining it doesn’t close. Baloney. When it’s sitting there open of course it doesn’t close. You have to use your hand to clamp it on your hair duh. Mine closes perfectly on my hair and works great. That’s my two cents and that’s probably all it’s worth.

This iron ruined my hair after using it the last few months. I now know WHY my hair has been thinning and has been falling out. My stylist says its because of this iron and I just realized it. It's not even thick anymore and didn't notice the Breakage until just the other day. The end of the metal has been catching on my hair and now have tons of breakage due to this and also the burning heat which caused it to fall out. I immediately threw it away and was a total waste of money! I'm so angry and I should be refunded in full. Just hope its not too late for my hair to recover from this trash. UPDATE: I was able to get refunded and most importantly it is COUNTERFEIT per my conversation with the AUTHENTIC BaBylissPRO company. There should be a model # on the handle, and there is not on this one. Should be illegal and Amazon needs to remove them immediately. I now have months and months of repair work on my hair!

I purchased it in September and by end of December it actually CAUGHT ON FIRE! I could have burnt my house down!! I have never ever had a hair product do this... And it had not been on for more than 30 minutes

This flatiron was highly recommended to me by a friend who has similar thick hair. It was very expensive but she assured me that it was worth the money. I do not recommend it. I have to turn it to a very high setting to get it to straighten my wavy thick hair, which then singes my hair and leaves it dry and brittle. My former Vidal Sassoon was much better. I would like to return this BaByliss product.

This product is salon quality, I have very thick, tight naturally curly hair, I spent a ton of money each month at the salon getting it straight, I haven’t needed to go to the salon since I purchased this product. The quality is great! It keeps my hair straight for at least 2/3 weeks without needing to use it again, and I rarely wrap my hair. It gets very hot so a heat protector is a must or you will burn your hair. I can use it to curl the ends also, but most of the time, I straighten it, then curl it with a curling iron for the extra body and all over curl. A hand glove is a must as your hair will get very hot while using it, especially if your hair holds heat like mine. I am very happy with this purchase. I have spent a lot of money on trying to find the right flat iron, none has worked like this one. It’s light-weight, but sturdy and doesn’t pull your hair, it glides smooth. I’ll include a before and after soon so you can see what it can do to my texture of hair.

BUYER BEWARE- I purchased this product looking for salon level quality. You WONT find that with this product.
This flat iron worked nicely for 5 uses over a 2 month period. Now it stopped heating up and it is beyond the return timeframe. OUCH, expensive mistake. I called AMAZON and customer service was very nice and said they would look into it an get back to me. In the meantime, I have purchased a $25.00 titanium flat iron with great reviews.

Before buying this, I owned two flat irons one of them which is highly rated on Amazon and I often went to the Dominican hair salon for a blowout.
I decided to splurge on this and I don't regret it!! For my hair, I put it on the number 45 which is roughly 425 degrees, I only needed to do one pass on each section. Then once I finished straightening all sections, I lowered the hear down to 35, which is I think 350 degrees? and just bumped my ends real quickly in big sections.
The result was smooth hair, bouncy and shiny looking hair. It looks like I got it done in the salon! Three days later its still looks fresh new and shiny!!
For reference for shampoo I used the Briogeo Be Gentle, Be Kind Banana + Coconut Superfoods Nourishing Hair Value Set, w the Avocado masks!
Then after I put in Tracee Ellis Ross' Pattern leave in Conditioner, As I am Leave in Conditioner, and Moroccan Oil Moroccain Oil Treatment. I let it dry a little while too.
After letting it dry, I put in pantene heat protectant and Chi Silk Infusion then blow dried my hair using the tension method and flat ironed using the chasing method!!
