Pros:
+ Lots of features, including a magnetic wifi 6 antenna!
+ Works with Ryzen 3900X out-of-box.
+ 2 M.2 slots with covers and included mounting screws!
+ Great lighting design with support for LED strips.
+ Nice-looking back IO layout with no separate back plate, thankfully.
Cons:
- Half the features don't work as well as hoped.
- Ryzen 3900X works, but the overclocking options are limited a bit by the dated bios.
- Wifi 6 but the bios doesn't even use a wired connection, meaning updating the bios is a PITA.
- While you have 2 M.2 slots, using either slot will disable your _56 SATA ports!
- Manual/online docs are lacking any information on troubleshooting the problems I've encountered and do not provide proper mappings for each port on the board. I eventually figured out most ports, but some are still a bit of a mystery. Seems like this could be due to the board being somewhat new.
- PCIE safeslot latch is easily breakable and may cause harm to your GPU if you're not extremely careful.
Overall, while it's a great price point, I can't recommend it at this time if you use more than one M.2 drive, use a M.2 drive with any SATA drives, or want to use the newest Asus bios features. (The 370-Pro is way better than this bios-wise.) It's also a bit of a PITA to get the GPU out of this thing without breaking off the safeslot latch, which is a major flaw since you may have to take out the GPU multiple times during setup and during the inevitable troubleshooting.

Not going to add anything you can already read in the description, but instead things you may not notice until it’s in your hands.
Bios is updated out the box to run 3rd Gen Ryzen. Everything is easily accessible. Power supply is meant to support 8+4 pin especially if you wanna overclock. Keep that I mind. But will work just fine if you only have an 8 pin power supply. Just make sure you’re have enough wattage for what your running. 600w is enough for most set ups. Comes with an I/O port shield already and has plenty of I/O ports built in as well as a BIOS flash USB port to update the BIOS without a graphics card and monitor which can come in handy. Front I/O ports are located at the bottom right like most motherboards. It does have 2 RGB addressable headers, one at the top and one at the bottom for really nice wiring. Logo on the top left of MOBO lights up in RGB. Plenty of Fan ports which is always good. Asus crate software is nice and convenient to update all drivers in one spot. Bluetooth works great. WiFi, meh maybe it’s my distance from the router. I’d have to play with it more see if it’s the antenna or my router location but I can’t seem to hit over 40mps when I have much more. I’d imagine most people would run hardwire but then again you wouldn’t be buying the WiFi version. All in all it’s a solid motherboard. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to build a pc. Only bad thing is the price, for a b550 it’s in the same price range as x570. So depending on what prices are out there maybe an x570 wouldn’t be a bad option.

The only con has always been Asus' support. Just the other day the DL link to update BIOS was not working. Also, on a clean install of Windows 10, I really struggled to get the WIFI and Ethernet drivers to work. The disk included with the case and what was on their website was no help. I had to do a lot of searching. Once it's up and running it's fine, but the initial set up and their support is a struggle.

No more digging through terrible manufacturer web portals, I guess. It just worked and it took zero time to get the basic installations up and running.
The board itself is also decent. It has plenty of VRM heatsink performance, enough USB options. Two m.2 slots is fine for B550 I think, and the m.2 heatsinks are pretty nice. No onboard chipset fan is a positive. The wifi was picking up my network signal before I even screwed in the antenna. The built-in backplate is super solid and was useful as a grip when installing the board. I wish there was maybe one more chassis fan connector (there's only 3 for the chassis, everything else is for pumps and CPU stuff) but I don't think it's a huge deal since you're not buying a B550 board for a 9-fan case...and if you are it probably comes with a fan controller anyway.
The software is okay-ish. AI Suite is the same as it's always been. I don't like the Realtek software or the virtual mixer that comes with it, but it sounds fine enough for onboard. Armoury Crate is the star of the show, and that alone is worth the 5th star.

The problem that my particular mobo had was that one of the backplate screws for the cpu cooler was literally screwed in by god himself. I swear that thing wouldn't budge! Since I didn't have a drill I had to take it to a local computer repair shop and paid a bit to get it out using a bunch of different tools. Luckily they were able to do so and did no damage to it at all.
I'd like to add that this motherboard is very strong because I tried using pliers and even tried to dig into the screw, which probably aren't good ideas but I'd waited months for all the parts. 😅

I spent a few hours myself then contacted ASUS to see if they could do anything. They told me that this has happened with this motherboard and to return it after I went through with them everything that I did to troubleshoot. I removed the ASUS and reinstalled my old motherboard (GIGABYTE B550M DS3H) and it came right back up with no issues. I did so much research before buying this ASUS motherboard and was really looking forward to seeing what I can do. I was highly disappointed and thing I should have just stuck with a Gigabyte B550 instead.

I love this board. There are many great features associated with the board and build quality is great. More than enough fan case headers which was a problem with the gigabyte motherboard. One feature I use alot is the AI noice cancellation, which works great with my condensor microphone. Overall great board. It evens looks great also.

Update: I received a call back from ASUS Support. They concluded the motherboard is defective. This is the second motherboard from this seller that is defective.

I did have some trouble with my PC. It would crash when I played League of Legends (out of the 4 or 5 game’s I played, this is the only one that it happened on). After countless attempts at trying to figure out what was wrong, I figured it out: The motherboard BIOS was an old version. For some reason, Asus Software (Armoury Crate) said the BIOS was up to date, but the website had a new version that was released a month prior. It should be noted I am using the new AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, so I think this update is needed for all 5000 series CPUs.

All in all this is a great motherboard from ROG but it is on the pricier side of the b550 boards out there.
