It's a nice little product. My only reservation is that the processor can seem a bit slow at times, but I have to remember this is not a laptop computer - it's more about convenience than speed. I do wish Apple would provide a better way to search the thousands of 'apps' available for the iPad and iPhone series. I was a bit surprised that the iPad does not show up as a 'device' on my Mac Book laptop and files such as photos, tunes, address book, etc. between it and the iPad have to be 'synched' via iTunes. Transferring files seems a bit more complex than needed, but perhaps I need to move along in the learning curve and then it will seem more logical. Like all Apple products, it seemed a bit pricey, but their build quality seems better than average. Still, I'm not sure it's totally worth all that premium in price.

Being a consumer of Apple products for awhile now I usually try out the new ones as quickly as I can. I got an iPad Mini the day it came out and have been using it every day for almost a month. I find it's the perfect companion to my computer and iPad 2. It's the perfect size to carry around with you and hold to read for extended periods of time. The screen is bright and clear, and though there is a glare I don't find it to be unusable. I'm coming from an iPad 2 so I haven't used the retina screens daily, but I am a graphic designer so visual are very important to me. I find the screen stands up well to the Kindle Fire and Nexus 7. Movies and pictures look great. The texts of books can look a bit fuzzy but it isn't anything you would notice if you weren't coming from a retina device. All in all I think Apple hit the nail on the head and I will continue to use my iPad Mini daily!

I had a bunch of American Express points and decided to spend them on purchasing an iPad Mini. I knew it was the same as a full sized iPad, but smaller. Well, the size is a bonus. It is easy to take everywhere. It's light, it's fast. It's easier to type on it than the full-sized iPad, easier to hold, thinner and has surprisingly good sound.

The size of the mini is just short of an inch wider than your typical competitor. The mini is just wonderfully light and easy to hold

Great for storing pics to share w/ family members & holidays - no more dragging around old school photobooks.
Great for streaming tv shows/movies via WiFi accessability.
Great having kwik internet access via WiFi in a rush - - vs. - - booting up a computer & waiting, waiting...
I'm still trying to figure out if I can download movies I've purchased on DVD, which I'll get converted digitally to the Cloud. If I can - it'll be perfect for keeping busy, when needing to kill time (airplane trips, Drs apptments, wife dragging me shopping....)

My wife and I recently switched our smartphones from the top of the line Android devices to the new iPhone 5. We have been so happy that we decided to get an iPad also.
We purchased an iPad2, and quickly realized that it was too large for us. We found that we would still use our laptop for most activities, and that it was no less cumbersome than the iPad2. We didn't understand what all the hype was about, and it pretty much turned into a paper weight. It sat on a shelf, and we seldom got it out.
When they announced the iPad Mini, we purchased one right away. After a couple of weeks, it has become a staple for us -nearly replacing the lap top. It is not cumbersome at all, and hits a sweet spot for size and function. We absolutely love it, and are excited to continue using it! It has become a fantastic part of our electronic arsenal.

I've had the 16GB Mini since November but was running out of room because I'm loading so many apps. I even had to remove some of my Kindle books and Zinio magazines to make room. Now, I won't have to worry about running out of space.

This is the first Apple product for me and I love it. With this 8" size Apple made excellent yob! It is perfect for traveling, good fit in hand and still big enough for watching movies on it. For shore, this is certainly not my last piece of Apple technology at home.

It has the perfect size to be carried with you in your bag or bag pack. Very light, so you don't feel like adding weight to your daily activities. Haven't used for long time, but I had great experience whith other Mac devices.
