Когда искал замену моим герцам, которых у меня уже вышел из строя 2-й комплект, плюс из кросов повываливались резисторы (кросы напаял, но осадок остался, да и из четерех колонок мидбаса осталась целая только одна), присматривался к этим алпайнам. Качество алпайна все же мне знакомо - играет саб эРка, никаких претензий к нему, и по звуку и в целом. Но... смущало практически полное отсутствие отзывов.
Стояла компонентная Hertz HSK 165. Как они играли мне очень нравилось, бас глубокий, но слегка "бубнили", вокал плохо слышно было на некоторых композициях, в которых обилие басовых было. Вобщем назрел вопрос замены, разочаровавшись в качесве герцев. Цель была - поставить и забыть!
Привезли заветную коробочку, открыл - немного был в смущении... динамики легкие (в сравнение с "чугунными" герцами) первая мысль, неужели они могут играть????? заявленная номинальная мощность практически аналогична герцам. Выглядят как игрушечные! Посадочная глубина скромная. Ну что ж, наверно в алпайне понимают что делают. Кросы небольших размеров - очень хорошо, а то предыдущие пришлось попотеть чтоб под обшивку двери спрятать.
Ставил все в штатные места (машина Opel Astra J). немного пришлось поколдовать из за толстой установочной кромки у динов. Играют от уся в паре с сабом. Тыл - штатно пока.
Поставил, ненагружая их было двоякое чувство, толи нормально то ли нет.
Наконец то разыгрались!!! Ура!!! Электронные жанры отыгрывает на ура, рэп, хип-хоп, попсу тоже великолепно. Рок и похожие направления чуть похуже (по сравнению с герцами опять же) но тоже довольно таки неплохо, покрайней мере гораздо лучше штатных колонок! Детализация отличная, вокал теперь тоже хорошо слышно! Глубина баса немного проигрывает герцам, но в дополнении с сабом все встает на свои места. Мощность динов соответствует цене!
Играют больше месяца, музыкой доволен!!!! Стоят своих денег однозначно! Рекомендую тем, кто в основном слушает электронные направления и иногда рок (и смежные с ним направления - я в них не силен)

Громкий звук, отличное качество звучания. По мне так баса не много, но и цель покупки была другая. Очень доволен звуком) Хорошие дины, маленький кроссовер, качество упаковки на высоте, качество исполнения компонентов так же на высоте, Не понравился корпус для установки пищалки, он только врезается в обшивку(т.е. он не выносной его нужно врезать, просто прикрутить к стойкам не получится)
Сам покупал новый комплект за 4186р. За такие колонки цена более чем адекватная - поэтому и купил)

Акустика приличная! Есть небольшое чувство, что не хватает по низам, но звучит она очень чисто! С штатными колонками Skoda Octavia A7 даже и сравнивать глупо. Я доволен!

Слушаю пол года. Отличные колонки! Покупайте не пожалеете!

рекомендую для покупки тим ,хто цінує якісний звук і готовий при цьому потратитись ,бо більшість купує динаміки до 30 доларів але вони і не будуть шукати алпайни..)))

Put in convertible to replace blown speakers, not as loud as needed for convertible, but maybe not intended for this purposes. Does not sound great at very high volumes.

I have had these speakers in my truck for 3 years and I have loved them. Not sure about the newer model but these are a significant improvement from my stock speakers. I was very glad I upgraded and I am still enjoying my purchase! If you are considering these, I would look at the newer model and compare them because I have loved these.

I purchased 2 pairs of these from best buy for 100 bucks a piece!!! Don't let best buy rip you off. In fact all electronics form best buy are usually twice as expensive than on amazon. That being said, allow me to evaluate the speakers. Let me start by saying car audio is near and dear to my heart. I love music and will usually spend to the limit of my means to achieve the best sound quality possible. I have heard many systems and owned several different sets of speakers. These particular speakers are great! I have a 50Wx4 clarion head unit, nothing special but has lots of custom sound settings. These speakers sound clear and crisp even while being underpowered. I can get them as loud as I can stand with little to no distortion as long as I turn the bass down, which is fine because I have two 12s. These things will get as loud as you want but don't count on them for spectacular bass. If you want the full spectrum of sound you will need to invest in sub woofers. They do handle highs and mids wonderfully though. So well in fact that unless your a real sound snob you won't need tweeters with these just turn up the treble. Personally I don't like treble very much and usually adjust mid higher then treble and these speakers handle that setting well. When I do turn treble up, out of curiosity, the highs are very crisp.

I'm not sure if an amp would improve them very much considering they already sound great but I have run them on a lower power head unit (Panasonic 45x4) and I was shocked by the improvement when I switched to the clarion 50x4. So who knows an amp might blow my mind yet again. I have these in a civic ex, more than enough sound for that space.

The bottom line:
-For this price range I think the type r's are going to outperform many other models. These speakers will have the casual car audio enthusiasts head spinning if they are coming from a stock set up.

-If you are not new to car audio than don't worry these will impress you as well.

-Don't skimp, a head unit to compliment the speakers is a MUST. If your really Mr. Moneybags buy an amp that can produce the 80W these speakers can handle is optional but by no means required.

-Don't rely on these for bass, buy a sub. If your not a bass head you can get by with as little as one 10" sub. You will need something, though, if you want more audible and clear bass tones and the ability to max your speaker volume

-You WILL get good highs out of these speakers, consider them if you are concerned about highs but do not want to go through the pain of installing tweeters.

-Be patient and buy form Amazon, as a matter of fact always cross check electronic prices with what Amazon offers.

-Highly recommended

Please note that these speakers need a 3-4 hour break in period to really get them moving. They have a little capacitor on the side of them so they dont get blown out as easy. They are really worth the price I think. I almost bought the 30 dollar a pair clarion speakers. But I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i bought these instead. They are going to go great with my Alpine head unit I just ordered! :D :D :D :D :D

I would rate these 3.5 stars had there been a half star option.I purchased the component version of these from ebay to replace the factory components , which would have been ok for most people who prefer a stock sound system. But i have a pair of jl 13w1 running off an alpine mrp-m500 with a cap and an alpine head unit so the factory speakers were holding back the rest of the system.I purchased the coax version of type s' here because i found the deal i was looking for.I am running my type s' off a kenwood 4 channel amp rated at about 50-75watts per channel . My first impression is that the system as whole sounds better. These are not too bad for entry level product.But i am not wowed or blown away . The highs seem to be dominant and the mids a bit lacking and the lows are almost nonexistent so if you don't plan on subs i would buy a premium product. Long story short, if you can find a deal i would go for it . If you are paying retail and don't want to be disappointed spend more on a top shelf product.

Ok this purchase is slightly different, the product was received on time as promised. But I must tell you this is not a direct replacement, with these speakers you will need to do a slight modification to the door speaker holder. I had to modify the holder in order to make these speakers fit but after I was done and heard the sound it was well worth the effort. If you are handy all you will need is a cutter or a strong scissors and you are in business, the magnet dimension is different from the factory. But again for the sound and price this is a no brainer.

Coming from alpine i expected much much more... I put them in the doors of my 98 chev truck to replace the stock. To be honest dont waste your money i have them powered by a small amp Lanzar HTG237 1000 Watt 2-Channel Mosfet Amplifier it has plenty of power to get the job done but they just dont put that much bass out. Vocals are noticably better on the other hand.

Great speaker for the price. The sound range is great, I can now hear all the different instruments on classical CD's. You can crank it up with no distortion. The tweeters are adjustable, so you can direct them for ideal sound. It is an Alpine after all.

These are the best bang for your buck speakers out there right now. Others in this price range only have around 50 watts of power per woofer and aren't nearly as well made as these alpines that can take a beating. Not to be forgotten they come with center mounted tweeters that don't sound tinny and have clear and crisp notes in the background. They come with mounting brackets which are nearly useless if you have a mounting hole a weird shape or diameter but I just made new holes in the brackets and they fit fine. People complain about the lack of bass in them, well they either have a problem with there ears or like to feel a nuclear bomb in there pants. They have great power especially if hooked up to a after market amplifier.

I bought 2 sets of these speakers for my Honda Civic Coupe 2001. They fit perfectly in front doors, but you will need to do some modernisation to make them fit at the back (probably, proffesional help will be required). At first they were plugged in with Sony DSX-S100 headunit - the sound quality and volume were ok, but I didn't get perfect bass and volume. So, I decided to connect them through the amp. I bought Alpine KTP-445 amp, but it's not compatible with any headunit, but Alpine. So I bought Alpine CDE-121 headunit. Now I have Alpine CDE-121 headunit + Alpine KTP-445 amp + 4 Alpine SPS-600 speakers. The quality of the sound is amazing. The volume is good, but I can't put it more than level 20 - the bass disappears. I think that the amp doesn't give enough power to the speakers - the speakers continious power is 80 watts/channel, but my amp can give only 45 watts/channel.

Are you kidding me at this price this item was a steal.
I have always loved alpine head units but i could never talk myself into buying a alpine r type speakers due to the high price so I figured I would just buy a lower grade of speakers and that should do the trick, Until now I decided to by all apline in my 93 ford ranger exept for the subs. SO this is what I put in the truck, 2 pairs of alpine spr-57c speakers witch put out 100rms ,alpine cda 105 head unit, pdx-f4 amp and one 8" bazooka bass tube with built in 100w amp, I only put the bass tube in there because there is no room for real subs in this truck,
but let me tell you this, The clarity in my truck is unbelievable it has such a crisp sound, If i only had to say one bad thing about this system it would have to be DONT PUT A BASS TUBE in your car or truck GET REAL SUBS other then that the system sounds grrrrrrreat .The speakers were put through a beating when i got them ,I was playing all tpyes of music from rock,electronic,country,R&B,rap these speakers are worth every dollar.

Purchased 4 of these speakers for my Durango. I do not have an amplifier yet these speakers put out great sound and bass. For the price ($60/pair) they were a steal. And installation was very easy.( you just need to know how to take the door panels off your car)

These speakers rock. I have them hooked up to a alpine 400 amplifier and they handle the extra power with ease. Alpine has always been my favorite brand of speaker in this size range. Im not an audio expert, just a regular guy that likes his music loud and clear, and these speakers delivered on those two parameters.

I've had these for over six months. They're ok. Not very dynamic. They don't have much range. Alpine is normally the best from my experience. These fall a little flat. Step up to Type R's if you want to stick to apline and still keep the price reasonable.

I bought for my ford focus here in BRASIL. They fit perfectly. Great incresed sound quality. I've tested them on the front and kept the rear stock. You can feel the diference. I'm going to buy my second pair for the rear dors.

Very good quality speakers, nothing wrong with them, but I was expecting a little more bass from them. They will sound more like standard boombox speakers without the aid of a separate subwoofer. other than that they are perfect for replacing door speakers that may have failed on you

These people are only selling ONE speaker, not a pair like EVERY OTHER place you look for speakers. If you only need one, these are still way too expensive.

these look nice but im not so sure u would get much bass out of these but who cares if u got a sub ur alset. if ur looking for some kick just install 6x9's alpines in boxes in the front and back

I replaced the front door speakers in my gmc Sierra with these. They sound great! There is however, very little bass but I was not concerned about this due to the two 10's I have in the back.

i had hertz but i didnt like them because they had no bass at all. the tweeters were very loud though. the alpines are pretty nice. they sound great and produce some bass. if amped im sure that would show the full potential

These speakers are normally sold in pairs. In the picture there appears to be two speakers, but only one speaker is being sold. This speaker sells elsewhere for about $60, but for a PAIR. These guys are trying to trick you by selling a single speaker for just a little lower than the going rate for a pair. Who would think they were actually charging you DOUBLE!!!

Alpine SPR-13C 5-1/4" Coaxial 2-Way Speaker (Pair)

Installed these in the rear of my Nissan Frontier KingCab, with Alpine 6x9 SPR-69Cs in the front. These complement those more expensive speakers very, very well. Highs and mids are sharp and clear, and will even thump a bit with only 20-watt RMS power. These speakers are VERY efficient for something still able to handle 80 watts continuous RMS. Running them just off a JVC KW-XR810 headunit, 20-watt RMS/50-watt max, I don't see a need for either an amp or a sub. I can't stand to be inside the cab with the volume over 30 (on a 50 scale) because it gets too loud. Yet, you can keep on cranking without distortion.

Alpines simply provide the best sound reproduction in their price range -- not as "tinny" as the comparable Infinity (while less expensive if purchased here), and IMO simply blow away the rest...

Purchased these pair of speakers along with Alpine iDA-X303. Great speakers. Amazing sound and clarity. Stunning power. Love it. Recommend it! Thank you Amazon for great price and products!

I purchased these speakers and a pair of Polk DB651. Installed the Polk in the front and Alpine in the rear. The Polk clearly out perform the Alpine. But the price was right and I now know which product I will prefer in the future. Always check Amazon before you buy elsewhere.

Decent sounding speakers.....still needed a little more base but that's to be expected from speakers of this size.

I shopped very carefully for new speakers, not wanting to over-pay. After installing these, I would easily $100 for the pair...but I only paid half on Amazon! The clarity of these speakers when playing loud music is very impressive.

I put these speaker in my 08 accord and didnt notice a difference in sound. Could be that i have premium sound but still i expected more from alpine. These speakers would probably be good for a factory system that is weak to start with,also one of the speakers was making a static noise when cranked up a bit.

I've had these speakers for about 6 months. I've been underdriving them with a 52 (peak) X 4 headunit and they still respond pretty darn good and have alot of bass for the size. Unfortunatly my headunit isn't allowing these babies to shine so I've invested in an Amplifier. I know it's going tobe the second night and day upgrade since I put the speakers in to replace my factory ones.
I recommend these. Edit: I am now powering these with 80 watts per channel (4 Channels and a seperate sub with another amp). They rock the house. Excellent sounds and value.

These speakers are great!! They cane with everything I needed and more. I wasn't expecting to get the screws and bolts for easy installation but it sure mate it a plus. The highs are outstanding. No scraching sound pure music. There have the same quality of a Memphis speakers but you can add bass. The sound quality to me are great. There even getter when there in the back deck with the magnet in the trunk. But I have them in my 96 camaro and the bass is not too bad but it's better than what I expected. But overall great speakers! (9/10)

The speakers came quickly and were nicely packed. The price was really good and these speakers are far better than the stock speakers. Upgrading car audio just by replacing the speakers is an inexpensive way to improve sound dramatically. The seller did a great job.

Thought I should circle back on this review. When I first bought them, I was impressed with bass, but also very smooth in the critical range from 100hz to 1000 hz where most of the music is. I have tested them with a very accurate testing system, so I know their frequency response for a fact. They are lively and natural sounding. My only reason for 4 stars ... after coming back to them after many, many other speakers from inexpensive to expensive... is that the range where the woofer and tweeter overlap... because there is not woofer frequency limiting coil.... around 6000 hz... is especially sensitive to my ears. I have created a notch filter .15 mH coil and 6 mfd capacitor across the woofer... and a special xo for the tweeter and they are pretty much magic now. If you step up to the component version, you will get a two component crossover, and you will also get smoother response because the tweeter is not creating cancellation of the wave at funky frequencies... by being in front of the woofer. That alone is worth the upgrade if you have the extra dollars. I will likely upgrade to the comp version. Good luck.

Purchased these Alpine speakers to replace the factory installed speakers on my 05' Chevy TrailBlazer and the difference in sound quality is amazing! The highs and lows are much more crisp and clearer to go along with my factory system. The bass thumps pretty good without an amp too. After reading many reviews and comparing other speakers, the Alpines were the way to go. It was not just based on price (which was a great deal by the way) but also on reputation & quality. Installation was easy and only took about an hour to install 4 speakers to the front & rear doors. (This included removal of & re-installing the door panels) didn't need to use the speaker covers) Went to a local car stereo installer and he wanted to charge around a $100 bucks with a 4 hour wait. Save your money and google how to remove door panels for your specific vehicle and you too can be listening to better sound with your factory or aftermarket system. I highly recommend these. You won't be disappointed!
