- + - Экран не бликует, ибо матовый антибликовый. Черный матовый пластик вокруг экрана тоже в глаза не лезет, работать комфортно.
- черный фон действительно черный, фиолетовый он только если смотреть не сидя за столом, а стоя, т.е. сверху, а не прямо на экран. - - - Качается экран, если одной рукой на кнопки настроек нажимать, есть небольшой люфт стойки
- кнопки 1-2 тоже не очень удобно, постоянно путаются
- ШИМ при яркости менее 100%, а при такой яркости монитор слепит глаза. Выход такой - яркость монитора на 100%, а яркость видеокарты на 0, тогда можно нормально работать.
- кино, где сцены в темноте (подвал, зАмок, темный лес и т.д.) - почти все сливается, тоже самое видео (игра престолов) смотрел на плазменном телевизоре - аналогично, а на ноутбуке все отлично видно.
- углы обзора не супер, если залить экран одним цветом, то вверху будет темнее чем внизу, влево-вправо заметно меньше.
- Кристаллический...

- + - Поворотливость во всех направлениях!!! вращающаяся подставка позволяет крутить монитор без усилия вокруг вертикальной оси, одним пальцем. Также без напряга можно регулировать высоту «ножки» монитора, в нее встроена пружина и вверх он поднимается очень легко. Экран поворачивается на 90 градусов, то есть может из альбомного разворота превратится...

- + Эргономика - повороты, подъём на высоту без проблем. Устойчивость отличная - спасибо большой опоре подставки. Комплектация - все кабели в комплекте. Строгий дизайн - отсутствие дешёвого глянца корпуса. Матовая матрица - отсутствие бликов. LED-подсветка - матрица легче и тоньше, потребление энергии меньше, нагрев корпуса меньше.
- - Сложность настройки цветопередачи из-за LED-подсветки. При включении динамической контрастности - все остальные...

Поначалу изображение казалось белесым, пробовал менять заводские настройки, но белесость оставалась пока не поменял настройки цвета на видеокарте, как посоветовал...

- + Большой. Аскетичный до красоты. Хорошая регулировка в пространстве-верти, поднимай, изгибай и т.д. Очень чёткий и яркий. В комплекте кабель dvi. Приличные для такого тонкого монитора динамики. Оригинальная подсветка кнопки питания
- - Практически нет. Может слишком интенсивные заводские настройки.
Читая комменты по поводу отвратительных динамиков в мониторах вообще хочется отослать этих оценщиков в...

- + Низкая цена за FullHD. Хорошие углы обзора. Плавные градиенты. Отличная эргономика.
- - Требует тонкой настройки с помощью видеокарты. Неудовлетворительные стартовые заводские настройки. Отвратительный звук колонок.
Честно говоря, от монитора графической серии VG ожидалось большего - а именно добротной такой, верной картинки сразу. Увы, но LED-подсветка может быть и хороша для энергосбережения, но в настройке довольно сложна и капризна.
Для начала я бы посоветовал переключить цветовую температуру на 5000К, поскольку LED-овские 6500К выглядят довольно "синюшно". Затем, подобрав контраст и яркость, надо убавить в настройках видеокарты яркость по зеленому и синему каналам (лучше ориентироваться...

I bought this monitor because Consumer Reports rated it highly and because it has built-in speakers. I didn't want more clutter on my desk. Besides, I had had an old Dell monitor with built-in speakers and the sound was quite good. Well, even to someone who is definitely NOT an audiophile, the speakers on the View Sonic are absolutely terrible--the sound is muddy and tinny. As others have pointed out, they are in the back of the monitor, which is dumb design, but even if you listen from the back, the sound is still awful. So I've bought separate speakers, which was what I was trying to avoid in the first place. So pay attention when feedback says the sound is terrible. It really is.

Stay clear of ViewSonic monitors. I have owned three and all three have had the DVI side fail eventually after use. The VDI side would work, but VGI is painful on the eyes at this resolution. This was my second ViewSonic monitor, they got me twice. The first one was replaced under warranty and the second failed the same way. This one failed just outside the warranted period.Go with a manufacturer that cares about quality. I've had a Dell Ultrasharp panel longer then either of the two ViewSonics and it's still going strong.

I was looking for three particular features in a monitor: (1) LED backlighting; (2) built-in speakers; and (3) flat black color, NOT glossy. I had just about given up, and then I saw the Viewsonic VG2236wm-LED.This monitor has all the features I was looking for, so I bought it. This is one of the few monitors on the market, perhaps the only one at present, that is NOT glossy black.The design of the monitor is well-thought-out and aesthetically appealing. With the 1080p resolution, the "picture" is extremely clear and crisp; the color and the uniformity are very good; the built-in speakers sound pretty good; and it's easy to adjust (both display settings e.g., brightness, and mechanically, e.g., tilt, rotation of the screen).I should also mention that the monitor comes very well packaged.As it happened, I received the monitor missing one cable, a VGA cable (the other three cables were present). Luckily, it was easy to contact customer service on the phone, and I'm told that a VGA cable is already on the way to me; so it seems that their customer service department is also quite responsive.********************Edit: I'm revising my review as I discovered something I don't like about the monitor. I'm downgrading it from 5 to 4 stars, because the stand has an issue, and the documentation is lacking in that regard as well.The issue involves raising the monitor up a little bit so it can be rotated 90 degrees to go from landscape to portrait mode.There is a little wire key on the right hand side of the "neck" of the stand that has to be pulled out. But on mine I could not do it by hand, I had to use pliers, because the thing is under spring tension upward.The best way to do this is to push the monitor down by hand, to reduce the pressure on the key, and then try to pull the key out.The stand also has a little bit of annoying side-to-side slop when it's in the down (landscape) position.Viewsonic needs to redesign the stand. An excellent monitor should not be paired up with a lousy stand.**************************Edit: My final solution to the stand issue was to buy a 3M Monitor Stand, model MS110MB. It cost me about $50. It's an excellent stand, and although I at first thought the price was a little on the high side, the thing is robust and of high quality, and a perfect match for the monitor. It was a worthwhile investment that can be used with any monitor that has a 75mm or 100mm VESA bolt pattern.As far as the sound goes, there is no "hum", and the speakers sound just like I expected them to sound - not bad - all things considered. The speakers are obviously not intended to deliver ultra high fidelity, @high power, they're there to provide basic sound for people who just want basic sound - without cluttering up the desktop with speakers, more wires, and a power adapter.

The ViewSonic VG2236wm-LED is a very nice monitor. I received it from Amazonvery quickly and undamaged. It is shipped in the original ViewSonic box, so you may want to be careful if it is left where others can view it when delivered. Hook-up was a snap. I did not hooh up the speakers, because I have very good ones already installed on my computer. The colors and Brightness were set at MAX from the factory. I reset the colors to 95%; and Contrast and Brightness to 51% each. I am running Windows XP Pro, and I hooked the video to the DVI (Didital) output of my video card and monitor. I installed the monitor drivers and they went in easily. Newest Drivers are available on ViewSonic's web site, and can be downloaded and installed. I set the video DISPLAY in Control Panel to 1370 x 768 ; and in The ADVANCED SETTING of DISPLAY, I set setting to "CUSTOM' and to 106% of normal size (102 dpi)Applied and saved. You can play around with the settings to meet your preferences. This gives good lighting and Vivid colors; and Words are easily read. I use this monitor foe web browsing, E-Mails, Worp Processing, Spread Sheets, Gaming, and viewing/editing of pictures. I played a few fast games, and found this monitor to perform very well. Be SURE to install The Drivers from the included Driver CD; and restart the Computer.I am very happy with this monitor so far. I was so happy with this monitor that I ordered a second ViewSonic Monitor: VG2436wm-LED which is the same monitor except with a larger display. My wife will use this smaller, VG2236wm-LED for her computer, and I shall use the Larger VG2436wm-LED monitor which should arrive today. She also really likes this monitor. Again... I did NOT nor will I hook up the speakers in this monitor, so I can not comment on their performance, so look to the other reviews for the speaker performance. All cables, power cord, and Driver CD are included. I can highly recomend this monitor.

I just received the Viewsonic VG2236wm-LED monitor. It came with a DVI cable, a VGA and speaker cables. No Disc, I visited their web site to download the drivers for Windows 7, very easy. Set-up was very easy too, although I had to adjust the brightness, because out of the box it's down right blinding when hooked up via DVI. The speakers are ok, but I'm using external ones. The stand is really good, allowing you to heighten the monitor which I didn't need to do. The monitor also can swivel and of course tilt. The stand, frame and bevel are made with a matte finish so there's absolutely no glare from either the windows or inside lights, which is great considering that 90% of the monitors out there have a high gloss piano finish which causes a lot of glare. The picture is just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Very crisp, clear with no bleeding along the edges, no lines and no dead pixels. Most important to me, there's no shadowing when playing my FPS games. I HIGHLY recommend this Viewsonic-LED monitor, especially if you can get it as an open box item as I did, which saved me a lot of $$, but even at regular Amazon prices it's well worth it.

I almost sent this monitor back when it abruptly stopped working. (It did come back on the next day.) The switch seems to be the weakest part. Now I don't touch the switch at all, but have changed the settings on my computer so that the monitor goes off after 5 minutes of non-use. It is also very bright, and even turned down to the "conservation" setting gives me eyestrain after a while. The screen is also too sensitive to being touched.I do like the size of the screen, which means that I can have two or three windows up simultaneously when I'm working. It is good for movies, but anime has a chalky look, like the pixels are spread too far apart.This monitor was recommended by Consumer Reports, but I don't know if I would recommend it to anybody else.

Purchased this to replace a 20" Viewsonic LCD that had led a tough life but always delivered.+5 The increased real estate on the desktop (both virtual and actual, since I wall mounted it) is like night and day.-2 It falls juuuust short of 2 web pages or 2 document windows side-by-side and I'm now hooked on the idea. When I bought it, I had chickened out on the 24" because it seemed like it would be too much, but now I wish I had just gone for the 24". I think this one is going to the hubby and I'll be back for the 24" in a couple of weeks.+10 Crystal-clear display+10 Colours are rich and vivid. I don't do graphics, but they sure look nice on the screen.+10 Spreadsheets - you just can't get too many rows and columns on screen at once! Spent seven hours in a big workbook today, and no eyestrain at all. I think I would have liked to use a slightly lower resolution to make things a little bigger than the native 1920x1080, but it looked awful and very blurry. After 2 days with it though, it's working out just fine.+3 The speakers are, as most have noted, pretty tinny. But I don't play music on my computer; I just serve it from there. If purchasing for an non-audiophile, they are perfect. I refuse to put something else on my desk that collects dust so the integrated speakers are a must-have, and they're plenty fine for system sounds. If you already have speakers, there's a version of this monitor that doesn't have them. I think that even if I did use other speakers, it's a nice feature to have around just in case.+7 Matte finish on the frame, and anti-glare on the screen. I nixed many similar monitors because of the piano finish alone. Who thought that putting a high-gloss black finish on an electronic device (my sony blu-ray for example) was a good idea? At least this finish is 'less' of a dust magnet.+5 Excellent bang for the buck. Amazon's price can't be beat.Score: 48 out of 50. I will buy (the same, but bigger!) again (soon).

When my old monitor finally died, I decided to switch to a dual monitor setup, so I splurged on a pair of these. I guess I'm behind the times, but what I really wanted were square monitors like my old one, instead of rectangular ones. I'm a freelance writer, and those work best for document work, and in my opinion they're still best for viewing the Internet. But also, everything is now widescreen. I won't pretend to know much about the technical aspects of the monitor, and these particular ones were recommended by an IT guy I trust. I find the color and clarity to be good but not great. The speakers are very average in quality, and in fact I don't even use them. I've hooked up my regular desktop speakers instead. The stands are decent and don't have much of a footprint, and they adjust easily enough, although they're a little stiff. In general, I find these monitors to be pretty average all the way around. For the price, I was expecting more.

The Viewsonic VG2236WM-LED is a great product. The quality is first-rate. I like the ability to adjust both tilt and height. The monitor was well packed (thank you, Amazon) and arrived quickly. No bad pixels. Highly recommended.

I purchased this monitor because I do not like the X series monitors that Viewsonic is creating otherwise. Unlike those ones this monitor does not have the piano style finish on the bezzel and no annoying blue flashy lights while it is on. It has DVI, but no USB ports, which I had to modify my workspace to go without, although it was completely worth it in the long run. I purchased two of these monitors and both are running nicely in a dual screen operation. The only problem I had was the DVI cables that came with it don't fit on a standard dual dvi EVGA card. Being a computer nerd that was not a problem as I just dipped into my supply of discard parts from previous builds to get more "standard" DVI cables with normal size connectors on them.The only thing I was disatisfied with is that UPS left one on the wrong doorstep and luckily I have honest neighbors and then the second one on my doorstep. However, I do understand that mistake is not amazon's fault, but they did ship these monitors in their original boxes. So if you live somewhere where people would be prone to picking up a LED Monitor box off your doorstep ship it to work or a friend's house. It would be great if Amazon had a way to cover these boxes or put them in other boxes so people cannot see the contents.Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I liked this so much I bought another one for my wifes office and ditched her old Dell LCD. It's cooler (temp), better clarity, bigger, uses less energy and it's cheap as chips. Can you spell Bargain? Oh and yes the internal speakers are totally worthless. Sounds like a collection of beatles fighting in a coke can. But who buys any LCD for it's outstanding sound? Pony up for a decent set of speakers with built in amps and a desktop preamp with built in DAC. Amazing sound for a few hundred green ones. I digress..

The image quality is exactly what I expected. Great resolution with good brightness, contrast, etc.One of the things that drew me to this model was the built in speakers. The speakers are really, really bad. They are directed out of the back of the monitor, so everything that you hear is just a reflection off of the wall behind the monitor. If there is no wall behind the monitor, the sound is even worse.My laptop is sitting in a docking station and the lid is closed. Despite this, the sound coming out of my laptop is better than the horrible sound that comes out of the speakers on this monitor. Really, really disappointing.Oh, and to make matters worse, the cable is not sheilded in any way, so when there is no music coming out of the speakers, all you can hear is the hum of interference that is generated by your hard drive. Did I say disappointing????EDITED TO ADD: I found out that the interference in the speakers was being caused by the power adapter for my laptop. When I used a different adapter, the interference went away. But, after listening to the speakers for a few more days, my opinion hasn't changed - they are pretty worthless. I am now looking for some speakers to add to my system.

My wife uses this monitor next to a window. The view is fine & color is great. It has integrated speakers but no audio jack. Volume control can be frustrating...if you use the monitor speakers, I hope you have volume controls on your keyboard or mouse.
