Purchased to exactly match the memory stick in my machine as the motherboard mfgr. cautions a matched pair be used. This memory stick was purchased to increase current memory. Four(4) hours wasted trying to get my computer to recognize this memory. Finally decided to pull original memory stick and replace with this new one.....result, computer dead. I decided to really have a look at this new stick and found one gold connection tab missing. Under magnification, it looked like it was sheared off during manufacturing. Amazon was very cooperative in accepting the return. Transcend advertises these memories as 100% tested........I don't think so. I Emailed Transcend with this problem.....very curt answer......go buy another from their store.Transcend.....never again!

Got it for a steal ( ie for $17 ) considering DDR2 prices are much higher now. Anyway it arrived on time and worked perfectly with my 4 year old Desktop. A great upgrade.

I bought this memory module to max my laptop's memory using Vista. The vendor was very prompt with communication and shipping and the deal clincher was the free shipping. Now my laptop performance has greatly improved. With memories getting affordable these days why not max your system.
