I'm addicted to my Vita. I was able to get my hands on the 3G/Wifi version - though I've yet to use the 3G the Wifi works flawlessly. There is zero lag in response time when switching between games or applications. I found my self one time with two game and three different apps open and one would never know that much was going by how the Vita responded.The screen is in one word is BEAUTIFUL. Crystal Clear graphics make the movies and games pop off the screen. Much more so that my smart phone.I've never enjoyed gaming on my phone, but having the Vita make sense. I want to have buttons to press and analog sticks to push. It feels right in your hands as you play. I bought Uncharted Golden Abyss on release day and have to say that the touch screen controls work perfectly, but I do prefer to use the analog sticks. Escape Plan is fun and makes you think about each screen. Little Deviants wasn't my favorite, but my daughter seems to enjoy it.I would say if there is one thing that I don't like is the battery life, but in saying that I've been able to watch 4 or 5 hours of Netflix before the battery runs down. That in and of itself is not too bad, but doesn't everyone want a battery that last forever?I like the Near application and seeing who else around my area is as much of a geek as I am.All in all I would recommend the Vita to gamers that want to continue to play even away from their PS3. I can't wait to see what is coming for the beefy device.Good Job Sony.

Overall, the Vita is a well done portable gaming system. I used the PSP for a while, and the DS, GameBoys, etc...I have always been a fan of the portable gaming market. I had pretty high expectations for this as Sony really talked this up.Overall, I am pretty happy with getting it. The graphics are a large improvement, and the gameplay finally feels full fledges as opposed to the portable version where generally you lose most of the features of the console version. You still see that at times on the Vita, but I'm sure as time goes on that will only get better and better.If you play portable games a lot, you will probably enjoy it.

At just a little higher than the price of a vita, you get an 8gb memory card too...not much for me, I have a 32gb but for the price this bundle is okay. Good for beginners, although it wasn't worth it when the vita launched but the price has since gone down...I'd just buy the vita and larger memory card separate next time.

The first thing you'll notice about the Vita, is how beautiful the hardware is. How firm, sleek, and overall beautiful it is. The console itself it tight, well built, with tight and well built buttons and controllers. When booted, you'll notice the Unix like speed of the OS (which is astoundingly good for Sony) and the responsiveness of the touch screen (using the same tech as iOS devices). It blew my mind how responsive everything was. The handheld NEVER heats up.. and the battery lasts approximately 5 hours (which is more than enough for me). The analogue sticks are precise, and I can't express how amazing the PSN integration is. If this device had all of my ps3 games on it, it very well would phase out my ps3. The games are BEAUTIFUL which Golden Abyss reaching a mid point of Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 in graphical prowess. It's simply astounding. Now, the 3G is particularly useless at this point (but it's very very capable of becoming something great with gaming online on the go... when AT&T gets their infrastructural together or Sony banks another deal). It's VERY important to note that the SIM is removable, thus making it fully capable of jumping ships to another 3G provider when a deal is cut. Besides that, I can't stress enough how true gamers should purchase this product. Anyone who says otherwise is full of it. This is a machine built for the gamers. Also, the content manager is simply amazing, you'll be impressed.

Pros:Screen is pretty in a well-lit room.Very powerful and functional hardware.Some AAA titles promised in the future.Cons:Netflix and Facebook are the only worthwhile apps.Currently available games are either $40+ or feel like a smartphone clone, most AAA games have no release date. Also, after a few years of motion and touch controls on the market, you would think they could avoid silly gimmicks in the games that take you out of the experience just to display the control capabilities. Playing Uncharted, and it makes you stop to swipe 3 green arrows to cut down a barrier? Dangerous precedent.Wifi was only able to get 3-7mbps out of my 20mbps internet connection on a 802.11n router.And my biggest concern, the last straw:While in a dark room the screen is noticeably blotchy in blacks. A lot of colors, especially greys, show distracting vertical lines. I was watching a show on Netflix in a dim room and could hardly concentrate on my show through the screen issues. I know a lot of these problems are inherent in all OLED screens, but that just tells me they should have opted for a different tech without these issues.Overall: I'd say for the price after required accessories and games, it would be more fun and economical to get an established brand laptop or tablet. They have better looking screens and reasonably priced game libraries.

The PS Vita is a great piece of technology for those of us who love our gadgets.You really do get what you pay for with this newest handheld and the games are right there with it.There's no point in reviewing the actual device but rather the value of this bundle. The WIFI only model, although cheaper, does lack both the 3G (obviously) and the GPS module. These are both items that are going to be taken advantage of by games more and more. On top of that, the fact that this bundle comes with a 4GB memory card saves you from having to worry "which memory card is right for me." The 4GB card is more than suitable for several cartridge games and a few downloads as well.On top of that, this bundle also comes with 1 free month of 3G service (only after purchasing 1 months worth). You also receive a free copy of Super Stardust Delta (although this offer may have expired now).I personally don't use the 3G as not many applications/games require or benefit from its use. However, keeping an eye on planned releases reveals that developers are taking the 3G connectivity into serious consideration and incorporating the "always on" aspect heavily into their games. Don't regret your purchase of a WIFI only model down the road and get this version.

The device itself is larger than I anticipated, but very light. Easy to hold, and play games for hours. I have not experienced the problems with finger prints and smudging like other reviewers - but I do wipe it down every couple of days with a cloth.Pros:Display is beautiful, games load and play fast, and the dual analog sticks make game play very enjoyable. I enjoy games on the Vita as much or not more than on my PS3. I also like that I can play PSP games on it as well. I actually went back and re-played (and completed) many of the PSP games I had purchased. Truly a game console that I can hold in my hand.Cons:Surprisingly, my main complaints are not about games or game play, but mostly revolve around other applications which keep this device from being something I would use all the time. Even though I purchased the 3G version, I haven't activated 3G because the issues below keep it from being a portable device I would take with me to use.1. My biggest gripe is with the web browser. No flash, or Youtube videos. This is unacceptable.2. Twitter application is nice, but hyperlinks launch the inferior web browser (instead of viewing within Twitter app).3. In order to view any video from my home network, I must connect it to my PS3 via usb cable and copy files to the Vita. No DLNA support on this device.

Reaslitically to build a Vita from parts, it would costs $475. Sony is priced the system perfectly. Nothing better on the market. This is like having a playstation 4 on the go.

I'm very happy with my purchase of the PSVISTA. I was worried how the device would feel in my hands, since I have big hands and I must say its quite comfortable even after extended used. The vita doesn't feel flimsy. I like that Sony included a screen protector with the device. I'm not sure about signing up for 3g service though. The cheapest plan is $14.99 for 250mb and to get the free month of 3g service you have to pay for the first month and is also required to get the free game offer. You do get some free games from Sony though and are the following: Table Soccer, Fireworks, and Cliff Diving. These games require the use of AR cards to play, so the means playing in a well lit area and the use of the back camera. Motor Storm RC is a new game that just became available for free download courtesy of SCION. The welcome pack introduces you in how to use the vita and has trophies you can earn, so its like a mini game. The screen quality is amazin. The color a vibrant and images are sharp. I guess that due to the OLED screen. The speakers are better than those found on the PSP. Much better sound quality. The one thing I'm still trying to get used to using is the back touch pad. If your not sure about spending the $299 on this system go to a local store and try it out, you'll be impressed.

I'm sorry, I just did not like the Vita no matter how much I wanted to, I found myself playing my PSP still, and No not the crappy PSPGO >lolYou cant play allot of the games I wanted to play off the PSN as there is limited compatibility with most games from PSP and PS1 etc.If you want to play any of the Final fantasy's.. you cannot on the Vita. It lacks backwards compatibility on allot of the games that make me play my PSP.It is ridiculousness overpriced and lumpy, as in I did not enjoy carrying it in my pocket it is bigger than the PSP, and heavier.So If you LOVE the Vita I am glad that you do, please enjoy it: this is just my personal experience and my opinion on the productI will not buy another one after the one I have listed on here sells, so if you want one cheap buy from me :)I have noticed that the price has been gradually going down on the Vita and that craigslist is flooded with them, I have seen them for 100 bucks even lolThis is not a good sign... maybe this product will go the way of the PSPgo > fail!...

i mean this is only good if you intend to use the 3g and be paying for it monthly for travel but if you have wi-fi in your house i recommend buying the wi-fi version and a memory stick separately, but overall the vita is pretty awesome not to mention the screen its pretty big and nice including its touch screen, awesome... cant wait for more games to come out for it, couldve been better if it had online multiplayer servers or such, but then again it is just a handheld, i do recommend buying full body screen protectors with it for you to apply em fast and not being scared of scratches and whatnot just apply the full body protectors and youll feel more comfortably handling it every time. plus the camera is pretty cool too front and back ..... overall good handheld better than all the others in my opinion . accessories i have so far. the pdp folio for the vita holds alot of games, holds your cables and separate case for the vita like travel size pretty cool, the car adapter of course, full body screen protectors off ebay for around $7 bucks covers front and back and sides prety nice ( gives you a better peace of mind ), a brushed aluminum shell off ebay as well for around $9 its ok just an addition, was gunna get the cradle but i read it sucks so no.. so yea good handheld to have for all the gamers out there.

I bought the 3DS when it came out, it wasn't that great to start off with, the 3D fails simply by moving your head or the 3DS itself to the left or right you lose the 3D and all of the games don't have the same 3D quality, most don't look good when you play it that way, it loses the graphic quality, the PS Vita doesn't use this gimmick to get people to buy it because it doesn't need it, it can play games that look and play like the original games just like Marvel vs Capcom 3, it's just like the original one, but Street Fighter 4 for the 3DS isn't, it's VERRRRRYYYY SLOW compared to the original one, dodging a fireball or jumping over it can be challenging since it takes a long time to reach you and ruins your accuracy of dodging and hitting your opponents, this isn't a problem with MvsC 3, the Vita has better graphics and the games play better online too since you can use a microphone in some games and talk while playing and you can also watch Netflix and cam and mic on Skype, the 3ds is for children, the PS Vita is for adults.

I just get the PSVIta First Edition Bundle.I am a huge fan of Play Station since the PSOne came out, but still I will try to make a balance review, not from the side of a sony fanboy, but from a gamer.First at all, I won't talk about graphics or the huge list of games because a lot of people have talked about that.The first detail I don't like so much is how small the buttons are. Maybe in the future I will feel them confortable, but right now they aren't. Its kind of dificult play clasic games with those buttons, and when I say clasic games I am refering to games that do not need the touchscrean. For example, if you buy a PSP game from the store it won't use the screen, and those buttons are not the best (maybe I have big hands, don't know).Second, I want to talk about the game it bring together. It was little deviants. More than a game, its like a demo disc when you can use all PSVita features in just one game. I don't think this is really a game, it can be fun but its not a game I would like to sit 5 hours to play. It is the same with the free games are on the ps store for the AR, they are fun, but they are just demostrations.But, it is still a great console. We just have to wait more great games for it and Im sure it will become one of the greatest.

The Vita itself is a great system but the 3g version is a ripoff. The reason to buy this bundle would to be get a memory stick, a free game, and the ability to access 3g when and if you ever wanted. The problem with the bundle is that to get your "free" game you have to sign up for a month of 3g. Well no problem you say, sony is generously giving me a free month of it so I can use that to download the game. Wrong, sony gives you your 2nd month free you have to pay at least 15.00 for the first month. Then at the end of the 30 days they will email you a voucher for Super Stardust Delta.( The game is a 208mb download so if youre going to download it with 3g save your data) you end up spending $15 for a $10 game. So make sure you and add $15 to that $50 value.Well thats fine with me you might say I plan on getting 3g to play all the awesome online games. That's fine as long as youre playing turn based games. No online shooters or fighting for you. Sony and ATT are only alowing psn messaging, web browing, and asynchronous multiplayer (turn based) on 3g. Everything else wifi only. The system is great but do yourself a favor buy the wifi version and spend the extra 50 on an overpriced memory stick.

Pros:- Bright and vibrant 5 inch OLED screen.- Dual analog sticks.- Quad-core processor.- Responsive touchscreens.- Fluid multitasking.- Ability to use your PS3 account with the PS Vita.- Cross platform play.- Nice feel in the hands. Good for long session play.- Great fit and finish.- The games!Cons:- The PS, Start, and Select buttons are too flush with the system, making them hard to press.- Start Select buttons are too small and the location is not ideal.- Back touchscreen could use a border around it so you have a better idea of where your fingers are.Other Thoughts:Sony has outdone themselves with the PS Vita. It's a sleek looking device with tons of features. The 5 inch OLED screen is amazing, touchscreens work well, and the UI is user friendly with fluid multitasking, thanks to its quad-core processor.There are some fantastic games out for it like, Uncharted GA, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, FIFA 12, Rayman Origins, and Super Stardust Delta just to name a few. A lot of great games coming out soon for the PS Vita like Final Fantasy X HD, Call of Duty, Resistance, and Bioshock.DEFINITELY worth the asking price. I can't keep my hands off of it!

when i got my vita at best buy the clerk said one thing to me "take good care of this beautiful machine". i honestly think there is no other way to describe the ps vita. it may be expensive but it's worth ever dollar. the game line up is limited right now, but the library is expanding, so if you must wait for a price drop go ahead. however you should own this sooner or later

The Vita is a great system and it has many great games to go along with it. The battery lasts a long time and it is very quick responding to input and touches on the front and back touch screens. The front OLED screen is beautiful and a pleasure to look at. The Vita is just the right size to fit in a large pocket so even men can carry it around in their pockets. The Vita has great controls and the joy sticks are extremely sturdy. All the controls are really nice and are easy to use. The system has many games, and some really cool Alternate Reality games. While the games are still in the early stages for the Vita, there are some good ones and there are many games that are coming out later this year that look amazing. Definitely worth the price for the Wifi, I'm not sure about the 3G. It is a little pricey, but having it does have some of its advantages like its mobile online gaming community and gaming link to PS3.

The PS Vita is kinda the new big brother to the PSP. But that's just beginning really since its stolen a few tricks from the PS3 too.Pros: Big bright screen, Lots of games and demos to download, 3G option (for extra monthly charge) if you want on the go connectionCons: Battery life especially in standby mode doesn't last, Speakers could be better (definitely prefer headsets), Bit heavy to hold, Rear touchpad (haven't figured it out yet)I really hope there are more games in the channel to try on it, stuff that would make good multiplayer or remote play (only saw 3 games so far that do it)

I brought this as a bundle with Madden 2013. I didn't like that fact that the bundle (not to sure about the game by itself) doesn't come with a memory card. Leaving it impossible to do anything without one. No taking picture you cant even start the game without one. I think this system is missing built-in memory at least enough for one game.

This is allsome over 600 times better the 3DS. It just needs more kicks ass games. Because of AT&T I don't remand the 3G one may be wean we can use it on Verizon that version with 4G wound be my recommendation for now go with the WIFI version.

Pros:-The screen on the PS Vita is absolutely amazing. It's colors are vivid and the size of it(5" OLED) is nothing to be trifled with.-The power underneath the hood of this portable game system is commonly overlooked. It has both a quad-core processor and a quad-core GPU. None of the "launch games" have yet to fully utilize its power, but in time the future games will.-The touchscreen is very responsive and the dual analog sticks is something that I have been wanting on a portable for quite some time.-there are more pros but I'm at work and can't spend too much time writing this review.Cons:-Can't play any of my old UMD's from my old psp, would have to buy them again on PSN.-The premium price for the proprietary memory... but of course you get the 8gb card free with this bundle so no biggie there.Overall:-I plan to put many hours into my PS Vita and I am looking forward to seeing all of its capabilities fully utilized.
