Disappointing, to say the least.
I have been a fan of Nokia since the nineties. I bought this for my wife when her Nokia 2720 flip expired. I've had an E71 before and liked its build quality, usability and features. So, this updated version fitted the bill. She didn't want a touch screen per se.
The E6 arrived in true Amazon style, well packed and quickly. The first thing I noticed was the "cheap" feel of the creaky plastics. The keyboard had a nasty action. I updated the Anna firmware to Belle via Nokia Ovi successfully, with no obvious gains.
However, as I was setting the phone up for use, I began to have more concerns. The loudspeaker distorted at a moderate volume level and was thus largely useless. The screen resolution is very good, but it is still a tiny display and scrolling through web pages is very painful. The real killer though was the notification light. This is supposed to slowly flash a white LED around the nav button. Well it does, but you literally have to be in 100% darkness to just about see it. So of no use whatsoever. (I believe that post 2011 builds have slightly improved this, but I bought in Feb 2012... so?).
I ended up wholly disillusioned. This is not a cheap phone, but it feels cheap, is not rewarding to own and its basic functions are hopeless. I returned it. Bye Nokia.

Nokia E6-00
At first glance the Nokia E6-00 looks looks a very nice phone,
It has a full qwerty keypad making texting and web browsing easier,
Add that with the touch screen and the phone give you ease of access.
The phone can be a bit slow sometimes but when this happens all you need to do is hold down the home key and close the open applications.
There are a wide variety of applications available from the OVI store, however not as many as there are on the Android or iPhone,
Also the Angry Bird games are NOT free, they cost £1.50 each, however the first one has been free for the past few months.
This phone comes with OVI maps (satellite navigation software) which is free for life and compared to most SatNavs very accurate, its not got me lost yet.
The other free software on the phone is Quick Office which allows you to create and edit Word document PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets which is very useful if your allays on the go and don't like carrying a laptop around with you, otherwise it's pretty useless.

A real disappointment!
Firstly - I have no issue with the seller of this phone (PrepayWizard); their service was excellent and the phone was delivered promptly. The key issue here is with Nokia. I bought this phone as a direct replacement to my Nokia E72 (E series phones are Nokia's offering to the business market) and as such expected an excellent handset as with all previous E series phones that I had bought. Key issues were:
- Notification Light LED - a brilliant feature that all my e series phones had: an LED which surrounds the four way navigation pad below the screen, which blinks brightly when a call has been missed or SMS text received. An excellent feature which is invaluable in meetings, when just a quick glance can tell you if you've received an SMS (or missed a call). The E6 has been designed as such that the four way button that has been installed on top of the LED is so large, that the flashing LED from underneath can barely be seen. In fact the only way of seeing the LED is if you're in a dark room (which of course isn't practical during meetings!). There are workarounds for this, but the point here is that such a feature should work `out of the box' - and is a significant design oversight by Nokia, and a big disappointment by those that really rely on this feature.
- Battery life - my E72 had amazing battery life, with me only having to charge it once every few days. The E6 also boasts similar battery life, but during my time with it I found it completely unfounded. At one point after being charged in the morning, the phone's battery depleted only later that afternoon. I would often find that it would need charging at the end of each day, and this wasn't even with me using 3G or push email.
- Call quality - the call quality was very poor, with people often telling me that I was cutting-out on them. And to be clear, I used the phone in many different areas where up to 5 bars signal strength were shown. I have a feeling this was linked with the active noise cancellation feature the phone offers.
It's been so poor that I've reverted to using my E72 again, and it's a real shame as I'm an avid Nokia fan. Others may have had much more positive experiences with the E6, but the above reflects mine. Hope this helps!

Loved it!
This was my first touch screen and I loved it, until it was thrown on the wall and smashed... Unintentional throw from a kid! It had a long battery life and was easy to function

Superb quality!
The phone is so robust! Very well made, very sturdy.
Symbian works fine, it's not so energy consuming as Android phones or any other smartphones.
Classic, elegant phone with modern software and features - good for those who like quality stuff.

Отличная модель
- + 1. Сборка, как и не раз отмечалось.
2. йцук клавиатура в купе с сенс экраном очень даже удачное сочетание.
3. На мой взгляд долго держит заряд. 2 дня при стреднетяжелом загрузе. аська+инет.
4. Навигация. Пользуюсь мало, но радует.
5. на 3.5 г достаточно быстро грузит видео в ютубе.
6. Привлекателен на вид. Приятная тяжесть. Видно, что телефон линейки Е.
7. Многозадачность. Открытие 3-5 приложений особо не забивает систему. Работает шустро.
8. Бела вполне проста в использовании. Разобраться можно ну очень быстро.
9 и т.д. - - 1.Большой только один. Нет автофокуса. Этот телефон не для камераюзеров. Но изловчившись, текст можно фотографировать и фронтальной камерой.
2. Не так много софта, как, допустим на том же н8, мне в принципе хватает.
3. Скайп без видео, конечно плохо, но симбиан не предполагает, что-то крутейшее из приложений.
Определялся между n8 и e6-00, но склонялся ко второму. 3 года юзал aren'y от LG. Сенсорные телефоны надоели. А связка кверти клавиатуры и сенсорного экрана, подкрепленная возможностями смартфона очень порадовала. К серии Е хочется возвращаться снова, об этом мне говорили и раньше, но сейчас я почувствовал на себе. Телефон скорее всего для работы нежели для игрушек. Е серия-это прежде всего телефон, а именно, чтобы звонить, писать, прибывать в интернете. В общем телефоном доволен. Брал за 12000 рублей финской сборки серого цвета. Результат лучше ожиданий)
