only problem I have is that I don't have a fw800 jack on the back of my mac mini! But it does come with enough cables to make up for it.

Mac OSX 10.4.11, Powerbook G4The 320 GB USB/Firewire drive is simply excellent in ALL respects! No complaints. For me, the light is not a disturbing factor; if it was, I would simply block it with a shade of some sort. It's quiet, fast, reliable (so far), and the desk cradle is a nice touch. I heartily recommend this product!

For me, the light is not a disturbing factor; if it was, I would simply block it with a shade of some sort. It's quiet, fast, reliable (so far), and the desk cradle is a nice touch. I heartily recommend this product!

This is a great hard drive. Firewire 800 makes this soo much faster than USB 2.0 or the 1st gen firewire. Has great looks (been getting compliments on it at the office.) I love that they included all of the different connection combinations. USB, miniUSB, firewire, firewire 800, it all works. Also comes with a firewire 800 docking station. Makes it really easy to mount and umount the drive.Only negative thing I can say about this drive is that it's a little big. I have a couple others hard drives (though not firewire 800) and this one is the biggest.

Not a single problem with this drive yet. This is my second Seagate. The first is still going strong. If you're a Mac user and don't need the FW800, get the PC formatted version and reformat it yourself. You'll save some money.

This product works flawlessly. Out of the box it was easy to connect and ready to go. The Fire Wire 800 makes a huge difference especially when transfering large files. I would reccomend this drive to anyone looking to move and store large files who need it done quickly. The drives docking station comes with it so don't buy it separately as this is an option!

finally! an external hard drive that doesn't feel like a terrible commitment! I can take it with me to all my client's and have everything I need at my fingertips. I Just Love It.

It works exactly as advertised. I plugged it in, TimeMachine recognized it, started backing up.I've not had one problem with it in a month now. It's sweet.

This is a good drive. The set up was easy and I was using it withing minutes. The design is great and the leather case it comes with is an added bonus.Lots of cables to help you out with anything you need (USB, Firewire etc.)

Works perfectly. Looks gorgeous. My grab-it-when-the-house-starts-to-shake thing. The silver and white fits in with the rest of my Mac gear, and so easy to pull out of the cradle. A must-have Mac accessory. Couldn't be happier.
