memory was shipped prmptly shipped and was immediately install. Once installed functioned as expected from the get go.

My computer stopped working when I installed the memory chip. After some effort, I restored the computer by reinstalling my old chip. I would like to talk to Kingston without going through Amazon.

I needed to purchase a 512 MB DIMM for my Dell notebook. Either I misread the offering or they shipped me 2 256 MB DIMMs instead. No doubt the memory worked because I have never had a bad memory from Kingston in the past. I didn't try these because it was not what I wanted and generally you cannot return opened memory packages.I gave this transaction a 2 because I'm not sure whose fault it was but I still had to pay shipping for the return.

Of course this was for an older system but it worked perfect. Pass all diagnostics without having to tweek anything.

I have an older Toshiba Satellite laptop, model 1415-S173. With the computer off, I plugged in this module and it worked fine.

3 yr old Dell laptop (WinXP) runs noticeably faster after adding this Kingston upgrade chip. I used Kingston's online memory upgrade wizard from the Amazon site. It steered me to the right product and I was done.

I ordered three of these for my CPU (already had one). They were the best deal, Kingston makes good products and they proved to hold up to the name. However, my one old memory went bad so I went back to my account here on Amazon and simply re-ordered another one. Unfortunately, I received memory with a different DIMM; all must have the same DIMM for the best memory management. It seems Amazon restocked the stock number with different chips. My fault, should have checked the description; but I thought re-orderer with the same item number would give me the same item. Not so.

I have used Kingston products before and was not totally surprised when this memory card installed and worked properly the first time. I highly recommend Kingston memory products and will order them even when others on the market might be a little lower in price. Easy installation in my VAIO PCV-RZ desktop. Computer recognized the new memory on initial boot-up after installation. All programs run much faster, especially my h/s internet connection. Have upgraded other computers with Kingston memory and have always ben impressed. As a bonus, Amazon had the best price on this memory.
