Pumps out the bassline sound!
Fantastic speaker putting out good high quality, clear sound. Hope the batteries stay good but only time will tell as they are not easily replaced. Has extenuated bass and midrange response. Is very very loud without any distortion even at 100%. I use it as a monitor when mixing through aux input in my bedroom using my dj controller and laptop. Really wish they put combined rca and 3.5mm inputs on the back also which would have been far better whilst costing a few extra pennies common JBL. Excellent purchase you will love this speaker and wonder why you wasted your time not buying it now and pondering. There is nothing in this price range that comes close for comparison and you will not look back. The LED lights/strobes whilst a little gimmicky really are great and create an exciting mellow environment. It seems decently robust too and the Bluetooth connectivity is reliable. Love that you can install onto a speaker stand too. Just think you only need two of them to convert your house into a modest size club the possibilities are endless. The sound is better at high volumes when mains connected but only marginally whilst batteries are new. My unit was sourced locally through amazon through an excellent company.

Initial Very Impressed but now... not so much. AUX input has failed.
Very impressed indeed with my JBL Partybox 100 when it arrived, easy to set up right out of the box. Marvellous rich sounds beyond expectation. Sadly just TWO STARS out of five. After just a few uses the AUX input on the back has failed and fades away after a few seconds leaving only the USB or Bluetooth options available, this is OK I suppose... but doesn't fill me with confidence for the longevity for the rest of the components. Should I soldier on and risk the other inputs failing or just return the unit? At 9th January, I'm still considering what to do. I really wanted this speaker to work and be hassle-free but it's not :-( It sounds really great when it works.

If you can live with the size, at £199.99, it's really very good.
OK for the sake of completion, this is not hifi, if you are after Naim-like reserve and refinement this is not the right tool.
If you are after something that will fill a surprisingly large area with a bass rich tonality, that is not at the expense of the rest of the audio bandwidth, and can live with the physical real estate this requires buy-it-now with absolute confidence.
The light show, whilst exhibiting all the technical elegance available to LED, is a like it/turn it off affair. I don't dislike it's fucnction, but it's not for me. There is an on/off button for the light show - perfect.
This is a party speaker or at least a speaker that wants to do its thing at a volume above the average radio 2 listening level. I have some experience in large active subs containing large (18") drivers, and some smaller pro-PA speaker setups as well as sit-up-and-beg domestic affairs. This speaker in no conceivable way whatsoever lacks bottom end. Output is finite, given driver excursion, amp rating and enclosure size, but make no mistake, this is in another league to JBL's similarly priced Boombox, or twin W King or Dockin set-ups. This thing will give a dual Minirigs Sub3 2.2 set-up a run for its money all day long for a third of price albeit marginally less refined.
I got it here at Amazon for £199.99. The only negative is the stated battery life is very conservative. If you are going to use the bass-boost function and give it some beans, 2 to 3 hours is more realistic. Hopefully, a mod to upgrade the battery pack capacity is not too far away from a Youtube video. My only thoughts on the matter are do i need another?

Got this mainly for outside barbecues. I did a lot of researching and this one always comes out on top.
It’s very solid and looks great. It lasts for about three hours using the built in battery.
A few things I noticed about it-
Sounds much better outside
It’s a lot punchier when powered by the mains.
Overall it sounds fantastic! It’s not the cheapest sound box out there but it is worth it! 😀

JBL partybox 100 wow
Sound quality is fantastic sub base like thunder. Super loud with no distortion. The only problem is where the the mains lead goes into the speaker is very loose and I imagine over time this will become a problem. I did ask Amazon to replacement but only offered me a refund so I guess I'll just live with it. But overall it's a beast. I have other JBL speakers flip 5, extream 2 and boombox but the partybox 100 is definitely on another level

Wow, this will not disappoint you
Wow, what a sound from a Bluetooth speaker. Bought this when on offer, will dedicatedly add to the collection when they get even cheaper. This product does not disappoint, JBL is a market leader in my opinion. I also have the charge 4 and that is amazing too

Would’ve given it 5 stars if the battery lasted half the time they say 12 hours!! Even on 50% it won’t do 12 hours More like 8. Overall it’s a lovely piece of kit

Pretty impressive
where do I start this is a loud speaker it’s got led strobe lights and the bass is amazing and when I say amazing if u plug this in it sounds like sub bass. It’s pretty loud and doesn’t distort at all on maximum volume battery life is about 2 hours on full however this will spend most of its life plugged in as it is for a home. This speaker is solid however don’t be expecting for it to go in water or get dropped as this unit is not very durable. The aluminium cover housing the 5.5 inch subs is really solid and can take a lot of pressure and will not dent or scratch from day to day use. The speaker is pretty big however not massive. Will run any party in a large house or garden or even a large hall. Sound is crystal clear and the speaker hits every low and high note a song could possibly throw at it. This speaker will truly shock u when listening. Note: this unit is much more powerful and beefy when plugged in as it is running off a higher voltage and is getting more of a power supply than the 12 volt battery supplied. The lights on this speaker truly make it. They are bright high contrast leds that flash to the beat of the music playing from the speaker. The bass boost can be switched on and off by using the bass boost symbol on the top of the speaker pressing this once will activate deep bass mode. Where as a second click will activate mid bass boost which boosts the midrange bass. I would suggest to use the deep bass one however all 3 settings on the unit sound good in their own way

Good when used for the right space and occasion
Pretty good for a small room or outdoors in a small space. Great sound and easy to lug around. These are by no means pro PA speakers so don’t expect them to go super loud when your party is really jumping as you’ll crave more volume and find you’re already at the speakers limits. It does seem to complain after being driven for 4-5 hours at high levels - perhaps amp overheating - it started to get crackly, not clipping or over driving, even when you turn the volume back down. If you use them in the right way they’re great with a nice warm sound and clean bass at reasonable volumes. You’ll get slightly better bass performance when running off the mains.

Did a lot of research, wasn't sure about the lights, but wow, this speaker is amazing, deep deep bass, clean highs and LOUD, what more can I say, got rid of my high fi and bought another 2 for different rooms, I love it, my neighbours don't!!
