Стандартный разъём питания. Стандартный номинал напряжения и тока питания устройства. Очень легко заменить в случае выхода из строя штатного. Подойдёт зарядное устройство с USB-разъёмом с током не менее 1А или с molex-разъёмом (делается переходник).
Красивый дизайн.
Отсуствие внешних антенн, которые могут быть отломаны/ отвинчены детьми или другими горе-пользователями.

Плохо разработанная заводом-изготовителем прошивка. С прошивками версий 1.02 работает некорректно.
В диапазоне 5 ГГц работает некорректно. Рассчитывать на работу в этом диапазоне не следует. Если хотите создать рабочее мостовое соединение в диапазоне 5 ГГц, то проходите мимо этого изделия. Смотрите в сторону более дорогих и полноценных точек доступа (те же D-Link или TP-Link в бюджетном ценовом сегменте).
Своих денег устройство стоит, но разработчиком не доработано, как аппаратно, так и программно.
Не стоило заявлять поддержку диапазоне 5 ГГц. Не стоило разрабатывать прошивки версий 1.02, после заливки которых потом сменить какие-либо настройки просто невозможно.
Для страждущих, кто обжогся обновлением прошивки, есть возможность откатиться на версию 1.01. Для этого с сайта D-Link качаем прошивку 1.01, затем зажимаем кнопку Reset на устройстве в течение 30 секунд, после чего подключаем по витой паре к компьютеру; компьютеру задаём IP 192.168.0.ххх, маска подсети: 255.255.255.0; заходим в консоль по адресу: 192.168.0.50 и заливаем прошивку версии 1.01. После перезагрузки, устройство будет доступно по последнему заданному ему IP-адресу и с последним заданным паролем администратора. Полного сброса не происходит.

Скорость роутера 1000 мбит в секунду, скорость ретранслятора заявлено 300, по факту ~95, что с ретранслятором, что без него роутер покрывает тот же участок и имеет такую же скорость, ретранслятор играет роль wi-fi адаптера, больше от него никакого толку. Инструкция по подключению написана от балды, благодаря которой вы не сможете настроить сие чудо, подключается только по 2,4 гц, конкретно мою сеть 5 гц не обнаружил, при условии, что сигнал довольно таки мощный и телефон спокойно по нему подключается на том же расстоянии.

Сети 5 гц не ищет, скорость заявлено до 300 мбит, по факту ~95, что с ретранслятором, что без него уровень сигнала будет тем же, толку от него никакого, разве что можно использовать как wi fi адаптер.

- + Позволяет добавлять устройства с Ethernet-портом в существующую Wi-Fi-сеть, то есть работает в режиме клиента нормально, скорость соединения с роутером ASUS RT-N66 450 МБит/с, Wi-Fi 5GHz, работает в режиме Bridge.
- - Несколько неторопливое устройство в плане получения IP-адреса для себя и устройств за собой, но не считаю это недостатком.
Прошит адрес 192.168.0.50, нужно сетевой карте дать адрес вручную из этой же подсети, настроить (поймать Wi-Fi-сеть) и потом можно сделать автополучение адресов для сетевой и всех подключённых устройств,...

Работает только в режиме клиента! Никаких мостов между точками сделать не получится, нет возможности подключить внешнюю антенну, годится только для подключения...

- - По дефолту стояла прошивка 1.01, с ней явно что то не то, устройство практически неработоспособно, wifi отваливается через 10-15 мин. работы.
К счастью на сайте производителя нашлась свежая...

- - web доступ управления закрыт, пока не активен хоть один порт по ethernet. Нет доступа по ssh/telnet.
С последней прошивкой устройство действительно не сканирует сети в диапазоне 5 ГГц, о чем четко говорит вкладка статуса, что устройство работает только в 802.11b,g,n,...

- - Проверял 2 шт таких устройств (Ver F/W: 1.01) - результат одинаков: устройство попросту не работает в заявленном диапазоне 5ГГц. В диапазоне 2.4Ггц работает крайне нестабильно. Ужасно медленный WEB-интерфейс, еще более медленно - реакция устройства после изменения и применения настроек.
Покупал это устройство для подключения стойки с HiFi аппаратурой к сети с точкой доступа DAP-2690. В настройках принудительно выставлял режим работы 5ГГц, а в статусе как отображался режим работы 2.4ГГц, так и продолжал. Сеть 5ГГц устройство не видело, даже при четком указании всех параметров подключения вручную. В диапазоне 2.4ГГц медиамост постоянно "отваливался" от...

Just bought one and got it to work within an hour as a wireless bridge. I installed the latest firmware, then began to configure. For some reason, it took a while for the wireless bridge connection between it and the access point to work. The control panel should be more explicit about the state of the wireless connection; you understand that the connection works once the DAP-1533 gets an IP address from the DHCP server (access point).My MagicJack Plus and my laptop worked both out-of-the-box with their Ethernet plug connected into the DAP-1533 (as a wireless bridge). However, like another reviewer wrote, some devices does not succeed in getting an IP address. I experienced this with a DIR-625 router (trying to form a sub-network), a DNS-323 D-Link NAS and an Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 media player. This is a weird problem. Fortunately, it works when you set them to connect with a static IP instead of getting an IP from the DHCP server. It is not the best setup in 2013, but it works, and the devices are well seen all around my LAN, i.e. from within and outside the DAP-1533 wireless bridge.So, its control panel should be enhanced and the "DHCP blocking" problem should be addressed by D-Link. A little technical but good value for the money as it can be used both as a wireless bridge or as a wireless router.

Spent many hours troubleshooting this device. Long story short, it is not reliable. Not the sort of thing you can just plug in and rely on. Because multiple wireless MAC addresses are being sent through the bridge to the router, that introduces a host of problems that D-Link neither documents nor solves. Eventually realized that this was not compatible with "reserved" IPs on the router, because the bridge was cloning the MAC addresses for the "reserved" IPs and was a different IP. With that solved, then realized that the unit is just not reliable; it times out or goes to sleep and requires frequent hard resets because the wireless signal on it just stops responding. Along with that, the web interface screen. Equipment like this makes me think: what were they thinking? Very bad.************* Update 3/30/2013 **************Switched the bridge to a dedicated 5gz wireless network (from a sort-of crowded 2.4gz network). Now it works beautifully. Not sure if the problem was the competing wireless devices or the 2.4gz band. The bridge also communicating with a non-D-Link access point now. So there's that possibility too. I'll go up to 3 stars for the device as currently configured. Still one star for the documentation.

I wanted to use this to wirelessly bridge my home theater set-up to my network. My BluRay player has built-in 802.11g WiFi but the TV and Receiver only have ethernet. Trying to stream full HD over 802.11g can be choppy; especially with microwave ovens and cordless phones about so while it is nice that the BluRay has wireless I really wanted something running 802.11n in the 5GHz band. I didn't have too much difficulty getting the DAP-1533 to connect to my 802.11n access point, a D-Link DAP-2553, but that's where the joy ended as no device I connected to the DAP-1533 (including an old netbook running Ubuntu) could obtain an IP address via DHCP. Sure, setting a static IP address worked but at this point in the evolution of home networking products I expect DHCP to work.I don't understand how D-Link could ship a product like this - it's just stupid. I returned the DAP-1533 and instead opted for an Actiontec MoCA adapter. Once the MoCA adapter arrived I was done setting everything up in 30 minutes with all three devices plugged into an old 8-port hub I had - no wireless configuration nonsense - done!

This is not really a bridge. It would be considered more of a wireless client that simply attaches to a standard access point. There doesn't appear to be any way to access the devices attached to its switch from the network side of the device. Setup was simple enough, and it's nice to be able to select the band used for bridging to the network. If I'd known it wasn't capable of true bridge mode operation, I probably wouldn't have gotten it.

Got this working using WPS pretty easily. I have it connected wirelessly to my router downstairs and plugged in via ethernet to my mac upstairs. Worked great for about 3 days. Then it conked out. Wireless capability still seems to work, but ethernet jacks do not. My mac thinks a network cable is unplugged. Tried it on a few other systems, same issue. None of the four ports work. Reset it multiple times, nada.I emailed D-Link customer service. Haven't heard back yet from an email sent a week ago.As a side note, D-Link has a drop down list of OS's on their support page to choose from. Latest Mac OS on there is 10.4, an OS released in 2005, 7 years ago.

I'm pretty "techo" savvy (not patting myself on the back) but, this Media Bridge was a real pain to get set up and working properly. I have a Netgear N450 router and use the dual band for keeping my computer and home entertainment systems on separate bands and networks. Besides the 5.0 band is cleaner for video and audio streaming. Anyways, I added this D-Link product to my network (took me 4hrs. to get it right using the D-Link Manual and setup disc) and tested it all out. It works...finally!Wanted to mention that if any D-Link person reads this review, you guys really need to do a better job on the gui thru the IP address interface for configuring the Media Bridge. Take a tip from the Netgear router line of products. You might want to follow their lead on that one. The user manual is not the easiest to follow when trying to set up the system to add as a network repeater-Bridge.If you're looking at this D-Link 1513, you better have a good working knowledge of wireless networks and how to set them up, manage, and test them. It's not as easy as pressing the WEP button to connect to your network. You have to make some adjustments first in order to get the WEP to work and connect.I'm only giving 2 stars for the rating due to the setup procedure. I'll give 3 stars on the performance of the product. Good Luck!Update.....started dropping the connections while watching movies....Boxed it up, it's going back to the store where I bought it!

I don't know how it is so easy for companies to release such terrible networking products. I bought this when purchasing a Tivo in lieu of their expensive USB Wireless-N Network Adapter. Setup was easy enough, albeit not explained well enough for anybody less than tech savvy.Once installed, it seemed to work well for a few hours. Then suddenly, it just stopped working entirely. I don't know if the signal strength had dropped to a point it could no longer connect, but the device does not seem to ever try to reconnect. Every time it has a problem connecting to the wireless network, you have disconnect power, wait 30 seconds, reconnect. This would be fine if it was only every once in a long while; I have occasional issues with my cable modem that does not resolve itself without a reboot. Every few hours, though? This is junk, and it's going back to the store where purchased so I can try another company's take on what should be a SIMPLE problem to solve.

I have been looking for a way to get internet into my Home Theater for awhile. Yes, I have streaming media already via my ROKU box, but I wanted to connect my internet-ready TV and maybe other devices in the future. Running CAT5 cable to my AV cabinet is impossible. Enter the D-Link Wireless MediaBridge. It does exactly what it claims to: namely, to allow components that need to connect to wired ethernet connect over the air (e.g., home network-->wireless router-->[the air]-->mediabridge-->AV component).I can say that the media bridge works as advertised. Now my AV components act like they are plugged directly into the rest of my home network. No more entering wireless passwords via TV remotes, yay!Caveat: My use case doesn't test the ability of the bridge to handle multiple simultaneous data streams (I only watch 1 show at a time on my TV, obviously). You might have trouble connecting a busy media server via this device, for example.The bad news is the setup is incredibly awkward. Since this unit is a "bridge" and not a router, you can't just connect a laptop to it: No, you have to get into the network settings and setup a static I.P. on your computer just for the bridge setup.Another bad news item is that the dialog where you set the bridge user name and password doesn't show the password as you type it. This makes long passwords really hard to get right.Having said that, I would buy this unit again: It fills a niche and does it well.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dlink tonight, only to find that I had been doing the setup exactly correctly. (And, believe me the setup is nuts!)So it turns out my box was DOA. I'm changing to a DAP-1525 instead. If that doesn't go any better, then I'm swearing off of Dlink forever!
