Died after two months of use
Bought this for my Acer Aspire 5 laptop but it started causing freeze ups after just two months of use. And there's no India service from this brand so I basically wasted my 7K on this RAM.

If you're struggling with deciding on what memory to purchase, know this... Crucial is one of THE BEST memory manufacturers out there. Low cost, high compatibility and more.
Some people will go crazy and try to install the fastest ram possible, at a huge sacrifice in the cost. By that I mean, not just purchasing PC2400 memory their laptop won't run PC2666, but then pay for the lowest CAS as well.
The main thing with memory is, ALWAYS, the following:
Rule #1 - Know the maximum system specs and type of ram memory you can run in your laptop or motherboard.
Rule #2 - BUY IN PAIRS! Don't buy 1 stick of 16GB worth of memory and run in single channel mode, when 2x8gb can run faster in dual-channel instead. Paired memory is also identical in every spec, chipset, manufacturer and date made.
Rule #3 - When adding memory, like 1 stick added to a 2 stick maximum fill slot on a laptop, make sure you match up to the specs of the current memory installed. If you are uncertain, you can download CPU-Z, for free, and it will tell you the specs of that ram, speed, serial number, timings and all else.
Rule #4 - More expensive is NOT better, especially when bought from places outside of Amazon (1st choice) or NewEgg (2nd choice if Amazon doesn't have it OR extraordinary sale price makes it a no-brainer (like a holiday weekend sale).
Rule #5 - READ REVIEWS and by adding YOUR computer system/model/spec to the search term. SO, don't go to Google and type, "Is Kingston Memory Good?" NO, type, "Acer Nitro 5 AN-515-53 Kingston memory compatibility" and see if relevant hits come up with others who purchased similar memory. EVERY PRODUCT HAS A PURPOSE, otherwise, manufacturers WOULD NOT BE PRODUCING IT so that they can take a loss when nobody buys it. KNOW YOUR SPECS.

Compatible Lenovo Y720 15ikb
Pour ceux qui se posaient la question comme moi, la ram Crucial CT2K8G4SFD824A 16Go Kit (8Go x2) (DDR4, 2400 MT/s, PC4-19200, Dual Rank x8, SODIMM, 260-Pin) est bien compatible avec le Lenovo Y720 15ikb !
Par contre ne faites pas la même erreur que moi : après installation de la RAM et PREMIER allumage du PC, patientez un peu ! On pourrait croire que le PC ne démarre pas, mais c'est uniquement car il lui fait quelques secondes pour reconnaître la nouvelle ram et la configurer j'imagine.
Le deuxième démarrage était LARGEMENT plus rapide ensuite :)
Raison pour laquelle j'ai pris cette ram :
Le Lenovo est par défaut en 8Go mais en SINGLE CHANNEL (1x8Gp donc), pour un PC gamer c'est un peu le comble. Du coup, achat de deux barrettes identiques pour être en dual channel et avoir une meilleure performance en jeu (tester sur Borderlands 3, je suis passé de 48 fps à 65 fps moyen, d'après le bench fourni + le comportement du jeu en globalité largement plus fluide et comfortable!) et moins voire plus du tout de stuttering (Borderlands 3 non compris car optimisé avec le c** mais les autres jeux c'est un fait). Le gain de fps peut être aussi supérieur et/ou inférieur à ce que j'annonce selon le jeu testé. Mais dans tous les cas, c'est le dual channel est un MUST !
Hâte de tester ça sur les anciens jeux qui montraient des performances en dessous des espérances à cause justement de cette ram en single channel : i7 7700HQ / GTX 1060 (6Go).
Enfin, j'ai essayé de mettre une seule barrette achetée, combinée avec l'ancienne pré-installée sur le PC, et cela semblait fonctionner ! Le PC avait bien reconnu 16Go (8Go de l'ancienne + 8Go de la nouvelle barrette). J'aurais pu ainsi éviter d'acheter deux barrettes mais comme je préfère être SUR (niveau fréquence, CL etc) ... :)

En mi Portatil Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51 me ha sido compatible la version Dual rank DR, he usado el modulo sodimm 8gb ddr4 2400mhz cl17 Dual Rank para ampliar la memoria ram a 16gb y que se activase el dual channel.
Habia leido en las preguntas que la version de ram de crucial Single Rank, segun una respuesta dada no era compatible para mi modelo de portatil.
Asi que me puse a investigar, en la web de crucial hay una herramienta que te dice que memorias ram y que ssd crucial son compatibles con tu ordenador, y en mi caso vi este modulo que he comprado que cumplia las caracteristicas de la herramienta de crucial pero el numero de referencia era diferente, pero me he arriesgado y me ha salido esta vez bien.
Insertar este nuevo modulo en mi portatil acer nitro 5 an515-51 ha sido un poco lioso, vi un video de como ampliar la memoria y en eso me basado, lo mas complicado anclar 2 pestañas que habian, pero con ayuda de dos cuchillos anchos sin punta las he abierto a la vez y las he insertado, he cerrado la tapa de donde estaban las memorias y ya me han funcionado bien.
He para probar que no fuera inestable la ampliacion de ram he pasado 3 test de stress, el de cpu-z, el de cinebenchmark y el prime95 este ultimo lo he dejado en marcha 30 minutos y me ha funcionado correctamente, tambien he jugado unos 30 minutos a un juego que exige un poco y me ha ido tambien todo bien.

16 giga (8x2) pour redonner vie!
Mon portable HP 17-bs026nf (achat Conforama d'avril 2018) équipé d'un Core i7 n'avait que 4giga de ram, et était d'une telle lenteur que je pensais être tombé sur un modèle défectueux.
J'ai acheté 2 barrettes CRUCIAL à l'unité car bien moins cher, 155,66€ moins 10€ offert par AMAZON, au lieux de pratiquement 180€ en kit 8x2...
Hé ben miracle, mon PC à retrouvé la vie. J'ai préféré prendre du FD (mémoires sur 2 faces) plutôt que du FS (mémoires sur 1 face) pour être sûr de la compatibilité matérielle. C'est un poil plus cher, mais au moins ça minimise les problèmes.
J'ai acheté CRUCIAL toujours dans un rapport qualité/prix, cette marque ne m'ayant jamais déçu. Je ne suis probablement pas le seul dans le cas d'un PC portable tout neuf et terriblement lent. Si mon commentaire peut aider!

En fait mon PC est équipé de 2 carte graphiques, une logicielle et une matérielle.
C'est le chipset graphique du processeur Core i7 (HD graphics 620) qui est la carte graphique par défaut, donc utilise la mémoire vive du PC (pas moyen de changer manuellement).
La carte graphique matérielle RADEON R5 M330 sert uniquement quand le PC ressent le besoin de basculer dessus, par exemple lors de jeux.
Si comme moi vous avez une carte graphique matérielle, pour vérifier (WIN 10) regardez dans (clic droit sur le bureau, paramètres d'affichage, paramètres d'affichage avancé, et là vous voyer que l'écran 1 est connecté à Intel HD graphic 620).
Si vous avez trouvé mon commentaire utile, n'hésitez pas à cliquer sur "UTILE" en dessous, ça fait toujours plaisir 😊

Miglioramento Prestazioni Portatile DELL ! 💻
Sono il possessore di un portatile Dell Inspiron 7566 per gaming, ma utilizzo questo pc per lavorare nel campo della modellazione 3D, Grafica, rendering ecc.. e quindi avevo bisogno di più potenza, dato che prima avevo soltanto 16 GB e il computer tendeva a bloccarsi o avere un tempo di risposta lungo e avendo uno slot libero ho deciso di acquistare questa ram da 8 GB con una cifra bassa (se lo portavo in un centro di computer, non avrei speso meno di 60-80€).
Per prima cosa bisogna verificare quale è la ram per il proprio pc, per farlo ho scaricato un programma gratuito di verifica delle caratteristiche (CPU-Z) in maniera tale da controllare come erano gestiti gli slot quale Ram era installata e di quale tipologia se single o Dual Rank (conviene sempre prendere stessa tipologia) e la velocità MT/s...
Il pezzo è arrivato il giorno dopo, Il montaggio è veramente facile e veloce, si impiega circa 5 minuti potrebbe farlo anche un bambino, basta aprire la scocca sotto svitando una vite e poi si incastra facilmente e il computer è subito pronto per partire senza dover fare niente ! Non ho avuto nessun problema di compatibilità !

EXCELENTE MEMORIA RAM
Al parecer lo que te venden otras marcas como Kingston o Hyper es la carcasa de plástico con apariencia "gamer" esta memoria RAM funciona perfectamente igual que las demás, las funciones son exactamente las mismas así que la volvería a comprar por el simple hecho de que sirve para lo que es, después de dos meses de uso, no he tenido absolutamente ningún problema con ella, un pequeño detalle es que no venia del todo protegida, venia en una lamina de plástico en forma de cajita que le hacia un ligero espacio de apoyo, y venia en la clásica bolsa de amazon con burbujas, fuera de todo eso, fue súper sencillo de instalar, y mas para lo que no saben como hacerlo el video que tienen es increíblemente fácil de entender, así que la instalación esta sencilla, su presentación no es la mejor, pero venga, es una RAM SO-DIMM osea, para laptop, no la vas a ver a menos que la abras así que la presentación da lo mismo

I bought an iMac not long ago which let me configure the RAM myself. I bought a crucial SSD in the past and had ZERO issues with it so I thought I'd try buying crucial RAM to see how it goes. Happy to report that I've been using it for a year at the time of this writing, maybe longer, and there's never been an issue once. It was easy to install, fit my 5K iMac perfectly, and was an amazing price.
Performance is also great as well. If you're looking for solid DDR4 RAM at a solid price, crucial is always a good bet. I wish there was more I could say but there really isn't much.
Please make sure your mother board actually supports this size (2400/260 pin) if you're building your own PC and shopping around. If you're upgrading your 5K iMac like me...then this one is definitely a good one.
Performance is also great as well. If you're looking for solid DDR4 RAM at a solid price, crucial is always a good bet. I wish there was more I could say but there really isn't much.

Ram prices are fluctuating so do look around for the best value for money.
Easy to install and great for a boost in gaming, especially using 2 sticks. When using two 4GB sticks, I had issues driving fast in GTA V. A game over 6 years old. Since upgrading to two 8GB sticks, it’s been smooth sailing. The OS has also seen a boost in my every day tasks.
8GB alone is quite small by the current standards to ensure your computer has at least 16GB or more to future proof yourself.

Works just like it’s supposed to. I bought the 8GB to add on to my own 8GB to make a 16GB dell laptop.
Tips for installation, you may or may not see it work at first. Try moving them around slots. Try it multiple times. Eventually it should work, and on windows you’ll get a “Alert: change in memory” or something like that and that’s when you know it worked.
Performance difference: I would say there was a HUGE difference because I obviously doubled my ram., but overall my laptop feels snappier and multitasks better. You can probably run some high end programs and maybe even edit videos. 16 GB is plenty enough. The stick has worked fine. Crucial really knows how to make their memory products

This ram was used in a 5566 Inspiron Dell Laptop and gives another year or two of life. My interest was to use Corel Painter 2020 so the gaming aspect was not the driving force for the upgrade. Crucial memory was an easy installation and while originally identified and ordered on their website, crucial was unable to deliver after a month of broken shipping promises. I finally ordered from Amazon the memory was delivered as promised. Exactly what was ordered, packaged well and met my expectations.

Not a fancy package, but search for an online video for installation instructions and anyone could install this extra ram. Put into laptop that was struggling to open programs and switch apps - noticeable improvement. went from up to half a minute to launch a browser back down to a couple seconds unless I have a bunch of apps open, even then it’s quicker. I bought two and replaced the one strip of stick ram. Very happy with the cost. It’s extra ram, it does what I expected.

Perfect upgrade for a Dell 5379 running Manjaro KDE (Linux).
Popped this in, booted up and recognized right away. I picked this as it was listed on Crucials site as "guaranteed compatible" with my laptop.
It is running at the advertised speeds and matches what was already in the laptop in terms of specs.
If you have to upgrade and need this type of RAM, I'd recommend it. If however you can wait, DDR4 RAM is very expensive right now. Its about 2x what the price on DDR4 was about 1-2 years ago. I got this @ ~$80 at the time of this writing (while DDR4 in general was expensive).
