I bought this system over Black Friday and am very pleased! Immediately, the sub sounded slightly weak, but give it some time burning in and you will be tearing up.I've tried many similar systems at a much heftier price and this performs just as well if not better.Enjoy.

I just picked these up for $100 with the hope of replacing my Logitech Z520's.I gave them 4 stars but would have gone 3.5 if it was available. The Creative T3's are very good. The bass is great... It's crisp and defined and definitely not "fake" sounding. There's a knob on the back of the subwoofer that allows you to adjust the level. If you're going to place the sub under a desk (at your feet), you're not going to need much more than one-quarter level to vibrate the room. The (2) satelite speakers can handle their own at approximately 15 watts each but do sound just a bit flat. What's missing is the mid-range. Each satelite is 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide on the stand. The volume cube is nice and allows for a very good range from low to high. These are great for jazz and something a bit slower but I don't know if I'd like them for rock. What's equally nice is I'm able to hook these up to my tv (via the headphone jack) and add some nice bass and 2.1 surround for movie-watching.I do think they can rival the Bose Companion 3's but only because of the price I paid.I haven't played a game yet, but have no doubt they will do very well with the sound effects. If you can get them for no more than $120, pick them up.

Great sound in a very small foot print speaker, great 2 way stereo audio speakers system. When you listen to PC speakers you are 3 feet away from the speakers and you don't want to be pushed away by a harsh sound quality. This Creative GigaWorks T3 2.1 Multimedia Speakers System is the one to get to enjoy your favorite music from desktop computer or any portable audio device.Bass: very deep, very fast, with a really nice slam to it.The subwoofer has a button in the back. Adjust it according to the input volume of the main source. By default it comes set to the middle (12:00 position).Mids: Very nice warm touch, clear and crisp nuances, instruments don't sound dull nor bright, very nice imageHighs: very detailed, high pitch notes don't sound bright, harsh or brittle, cymbals sound natural with extension.I'm really happy with these speakers. I highly recommend them to a music lover that can discern between great and bad sound. For $150.00 you get lots of great sound!

First of all, if you think that my case is an isolated incident, do a quick search online and you'll see that many other people have this problem. There is nothing wrong with the speakers - pretty nice sound actually. However, after using it for over a year, the contact points in the volume control pod gathers dust and causes a myriad of problems. Contact customer support, and they tell you that they do not have any replacement parts. If you are past the 1 year warranty, all they give you is a 10% off coupon code to buy a new pair of speakers. Honestly, why would I want to buy a new pair when it's just gonna break down after another year? Many people have written online that they have the same exact problem, so unless you're willing to spend $200+ on a pair of speakers that's not going to work after a year, I would not recommend this product.

Purchased Creative GigaWorks T3 2.1 through Amazon as a Christmas present. The power supply failed after three months. Spent $50 to send the system back to Creative. Replacement system also has a failed power supply; it never worked. TERRIBLE Customer Support and cheap, unreliable product. STAY AWAY! Creative Labs customer service is available on through FAQ's and then through email. No phone support. YIKES.

First of all thanks amazon for fast shipping.Sound Quality is very good, compared to my Yamaha speaker system. these creative speakers they create a very room filling sound with ease.Unlike other reviews I've seen about the Mids, I heard them very clear and with detail there is enough voice projected ith these. The Highs are very clear and with a lot of detail and extension, waiting to have these already break in to see the real quality. The Bass, well everybody knows that this sub woofer is powerful for the size.Good Build Quality overall. I think they really can match Bose Companion 3.

I bought this so I don't have to power up my receiver for browsing and youtube etc.The front speakers are much smaller than I thought ~3/3 in. However, they sound great and look even better. Now, that little thing under the desk is quite bada$$. I turned it to the minimum setting, and still rocks the house.I think is a great option for the price I paid if you have a good sound card (I have titanium hd x-fi) and you don't need a dac in your speakers.

Edit: Give them a little while and the sound will open up. Add an EQ that ups the midrange and some of the treble and they sound pretty good. One problem though is that you cannot turn the bass completely off... which is more of a disappointment for my housemates across the wall. I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could, because of the bass not turning off and it's annoying to adjust on the back of the subwoofer, and the midranges do leave a little bit to be desired. For desktop speakers though, great.I had a Creative I-Trigue set up that had lasted me about 5 years, until the subwoofer blew out (don't know whether this was on Creative's end or on my own). I decided I wanted a new system with deeper bass, full range of tonality, and that got a little louder. The bass on this system is certain better, but the sound range may honestly have been better on the $120 I-Trigue system. To compare, the I-Trigue system had two satellite speakers, each of which had 2 1-inch drivers for highs, and two 1.5 drivers on the side for mid-range, and a subwoofer.Pros:- Small footprint satellite speakers- Volume dial has a good feel to it, headphone jack and aux input very convenient- Solid bass... it goes fairly deep, definitely enough to shake the room- The sound has I think gotten better over time, but that could just be entirely subjectiveCons:- Bass control is only on the back of the subwoofer... my old system had a separate control for bass on the volume dial, which was real convenient- Midrange may be lacking a bit as others have mentioned, but highs are solid. You can more or less correct this with an equalizer pretty easily (e.g. iTunes), but I still feel like there is something lacking after transitioning to one-driver satellites.- Price is a little step. I didn't go to a speaker store to test out speakers, but you may wish to do so if you can- When very loud, bass is not as warm as you could get from a bigger system, so don't consider them a substitute for a full featured home theater systemAs a whole, these speakers sound distinctly better than most 2.1 systems, and I'd recommend them, but I do still believe there is some lack of depth in the midrange. But I don't think you'll be disappointed with this system. The sound quality is still pretty killer.

Upgraded from my previous 2.1 speakers ($20 set I had for four years, the speaker set everyone starts out with). The new speakers sounds extremely clear, every acoustic guitar strum is clear, and the sub is punchy. The bass does not vibrate but punches. The speakers are heavy, probably due to the heavy magnets (a sign of quality to me). The volume puck has a nice weight and good rubber on the bottom, compared to the light weight plastic of my previous 2.1 set, so it stays in one place. The height of the speakers helps them fit under a 30" monitor perfectly. Speakers look quality, feel quality, and sound quality. Two thumbs up.

I'm a huge fan of Creative speakers and this is the third set I've purchased (the first two were the i-trigue which, unfortunately, are no longer available) and after reading many MANY reviews on a plethora of speaker sets, I thought this set would be a good choice. I enjoyed the bass boom it produced and the sound is very crisp. But after only 3 blissful days of listening to music, the speakers have stopped working. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips available on the Creative website and am now left waiting for a reply to my email sent into the customer service center oblivion. I'm very disappointed as I was hoping to use these speakers for a party in 3 days which clearly won't happen now.In conclusion, the sound is great - if the speakers produce any sound. However, it doesn't matter how good they *can* sound if they don't work at all :(If the customer service center is able to fix the problem, I will update this review.UPDATE: The customer service center was unable to fix my speakers but I was able to send mine back for a free exchange, and the new set has been working just fine. I guess the first set was just bad luck!

It really is remarkable how 3 speakers can have so much power. We purchased this because when we hung our Sony BRAVIA KDL46EX710 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV, Black television we found the speakers being in the back left it sounding muffled. Before we mounted the television there was more space and it allowed the sound to project from the back of the TV out. After hanging it the sound was so muffled it sounded as if a person talking had their hands in front of their mouth. We needed a good solution that did not require me to mount 7 speakers around the room. I already had a Creative speaker set for my PC and after checking this unit was both for PC and TV I grabbed it. It comes with RCA jacks and a mini to RCA plug splitter.Pros:+ easy installation+ smooth volume control knob+ sounds exponentially better than the included TV speakers+ nice aesthetics fits with a modern decor+ small mid drivers are unobtrusive and have nice standsCons:- with 3 bass drivers it you have to keep the bass almost off to make it even sounding for regular TV and movies- volume knob is better suited for PC use and I would have liked a simple remote to use to control volumeSummary:Overall this is a very nice option to use if you just want a simple 2.1 sound system.Thank you for reading my review.

The set up was easy and the sound is excellent. I bought this initially to serve as free standing system off a stereo in another room. It somehow migrated to the office and replaced the Bose Companion speakers. There is no off on switch so it it made more sense to set it up with the computer where it still sounds great!

I own a set of Bose Companion 5s that I use in my home office. I received the Creative Gigaworks T3 system as a Christmas gift (from my Amazon wish list where I put it after reading reviews). I think the sound is quite good, though the subwoofer is rather boomy, even with adjustment. No real complaints about the sound though. I don't agree with those who think the sound of the Creative speakers is better than the Bose system. Also, the Bose system seems substantially better made....less "cheap" feeling. I refer in particular to the connections for the speakers which were hard to plug in to the back of the subwoofer...they seemed too small and I was afraid I'd break them if I pushed too hard. Also, the volume device seems less substantial and doesn't adhere to the desk top like the Bose knob does, either. I like the Bose better in this regard since the Bose knob doesn't wander around my desk. I slso like the quick mute on the Bose (tap the top of the volume knob). There is nothing on the Creative unit like this (that I've figured out, anyway). All in all, since the sound is quite comparable, I think the Creative system is a good option at about $100 less than Bose Companion 5 system, though.I can't really play the system at full volume (I'm in a patient care area in the hospital where I work). But at volumes that avoid having people knocking on my door, it sounds quite good.

I bought these for school after my ears hurt from wearing headphones all the time (earbuds and larger ones). The sound quality off these are very nice, giving you a nice wide range of sound that isn't distorted or too low (as with many other speakers' mid range). I'm currently playing these off my laptop's relatively poor Realtek codec, so I can't really compare it to my previous Altec set at home which was played off a much higher grade Xonar desktop card, however it sounds comfortable over long periods of listening, various types of music, movies, and definitely gaming. What makes this really stand out over other speaker sets is the looks, mid-range performance, and the subwoofer. The sub is what I payed $100~ over the T20/40s (which are decent too, friend has them) for. Lows are deep, not the boomy type, and the controls on the back really do allow you to fine tune the sub to your liking. The included control pod looks classy as well as easy to use. At this price range though, I expected to see some sort of remote (though I never used the remote on my other PC speakers after setting it up), especially for the bass component as that is located at the back of the unit.I suggest this set to those who want high quality sound in a compact package (the speakers and sub are quite small vs other PC speakers). I don't think I've heard a more well balanced set (either emphasis on highs or lows), this set does the full-range really well. I do suggest people to actually go to a store to try them out if they match your tastes. If you test them, please use high quality files (320kbs MP3s or lossless codecs), if you test them with 128kbs files, anything will sound crappy. For people who don't really need the sub, T20s/T40s are a good choice too.

I recently purchased a new computer, and decided it was time to look for some new speakers. My old Harmon Kardon speakers were OK, but there was a couple of things I didn't like about them. First, the power switch was on the subwoofer (under the desk), and I wanted an easier way to power them on/off. I also didn't particularly care for the sound sound produced based on the speaker footprint; they were big, but they didn't sound big.I went to one of the local computer stores, and spent some time listening to quite a variety of 2.1 speaker sets (don't have the space or interest for the 5+ speaker sets). The creative labs gigaworks speakers really impressed me. The footprint for both the subwoofer and stereo pair was fairly small, but the sound produced was extremely full. I'm amazed at how far the speaker technology has come since I last looked at computer speakers. Here's my subjective list of pros/cons:Pros:* Sound/clarity. I'm not sure how to quantify this, but they do sound wonderful. I would urge anyone considering spending this much money on speakers to actually hear them before buying, as what I think sounds great may not be to your taste. But for me these really satisfy my sound palette.* Footprint: I don't have a ton of space to work with, and these were fairly compact.* The volume control. There is a rotary dial volume control that is very easy to use/intuitive. I love digital, but I confess I like the old "analog style" rotary volume control. Place this near your "mouse hand", and it's easy to adjust volume very quickly for any inbound phone calls, etc. And if you turn the volume all the way down, the amp will cut off altogether.* Headphone/auxiliary jack. This is placed on the rotary dial I mentioned above. Very easy to plug in a set of headphones or other input source as needed.Cons:* Price. It's a lot to spend on a computer speakers, at least for me. But I don't regret it.* For some reason, I didn't receive a power cord in the box. No big deal, the unit accepts a standard "figure 8" power cord, but the cord really should be there.* The midrange may be a little soft. Again, this is subjective. In summary, I urge you to give these a listen if you are in the market for a 2.1 speaker set in this price range. I don't think you will be disappointed. Thanks for reading.

I originally purchased a Bose set to replace the speakers I had (which were Boston Acoustics). I ended up with the Bose Companion speakers, and did NOT like the sound. There was no 'Boom' in the base. I was not getting what I thought would have been the best quality that Bose offered. So I returned them, and used that to make my purchase of these Creative speakers.I instantly noticed a difference! I got everything I needed in the sound. The boom was there. Deep base and good treble. My namesake is the lowest base singer in the world JD Sumner, who was the backup group for Elvis Presley. If I want deep base, I know where I can find it. This is what I wanted and more! There should be 10 stars here instead of that measly 5!Thanks!

I had a Creative Inspire 6600 6.1 speaker system which I've used for about 5 years, (only using two speakers on it) and decided I would treat myself with an upgrade to the Creative T3 speakers.I've plugged them in side by side to have a listen and really am not that impressed with them. The subwoofer is more 'boomy' and doesn't give a good representation of bass guitar. The speakers look nicer sure, but my old ones gave a warmer and smoother sound. When listening at the quietish volumes I usually have, you basically only hear the kick drum and some bass guitar briefly, you have to turn the level of the bass up then the kick drum is too loud and all this time you have to get down on your knees to adjust the bass level as there is no adjustment for that on the remote. The volume control squeaks sometimes when turning the volume up.All in all, wish I had saved the money and bought a new monitor or something instead. Maybe if it was 1/2 price or even 3/4 the price I wouldn't be as disappointed, but these are not good value for money on the sound quality side.
