Citizen watch is a brand that I have come to trust for quality and accuracy. I have a few that I have purchased and others that I have reviewed, like this example, for Vine. In every case, I have found their watches to be good value and accurate. These days, a lot of people like "smart" watches like the Apple watch that talk to your phone or "Hybrid" watches that track fitness as well as perform other functions. However, many of us watch geeks still have an affinity for the classic analog dial watches and this example matches that design.
I set the watch with my atomic-clock linked kitchen clock and over 5 days, the time difference on the evaluation watch was barely noticeable - + / - a second or two. This is typical of most quality quartz movement watches and the rule for every Citizen watch I have ever tested. Two stars - well earned.
I wore the watch round-the-clock, including to bed, and found the band to be comfortable and did not chafe. That's important if you, like me, occasionally check the time at night. It's nice to have the watch close by and this watch has glow-in-the-dark hands and minute markers so that makes it super easy. Two more stars.
There is a non-rotating bezel around the dial that has numbers on it. It's not-functional,; only decorative. Too bad, it would be nice to use the bezel to time a parking meter or brewing time for my tea! Sorry, No 5th star...
Overall, this is another good Citizen watch that keeps near-perfect time, has a quality look and feel, and is comfortable enough to wear all day. If you want to own an attractive, classic-look analog watch, you couldn't find a more suitable example at a fair, Amazon-discounted price.

This is a good-looking quartz watch that has the solid feel I expect from a Citizen watch. The face is very easy to read in any light level, with generous applications of lume, and the black background provides excellent contrast. The only real downside to the aesthetic is the non-functioning diver's bezel. If it worked, it would be a nice touch, but as a decoration I think it cheapens the watch. Nonetheless, in black, its less distracting than in steel.
The size is just right for my tastes, but much smaller than the current trend of huge men's watches. It would look a little large on a small wrist, but doesn't stand out at all on my 6'1" frame. The band is a sturdy, black rubber, which I prefer and which fits the sporty styling of the watch. Comfort is excellent, and I quickly forgot that the watch was on my wrist.
The single-digit dates were a little tough to read clearly, but not enough for me to deduct a star. The readability of the face is otherwise outstanding.
I wish the watch were solar, but beyond that, everything about the watch's build quality and aesthetic is consistent with Citizen's brand of affordable quality.

Good looking, well made and practical watch that you won't have to charge every day like its smarter cousins. Sturdy black strap with holes to let the air through and help with perspiration control. This analog watch has face markings that glow in the dark so you can easily check the time whether you're in a movie theater or any other dim situation without bugging others with your phone screen. There's a date window and a faux (non-moving) marked bezel, but no other functionality. It's a solidly built, wonderfully unfussy and masculine watch that looks good in a variety of settings.

This is a good watch. I thought the large numbering on the outside was ugly. And I was wary of the rubber strap. I thought that was going to be clammy and uncomfortable. I was wrong. The strap is most comfortable.
The accuracy, over the two weeks I have had it, is spot on. It has not gained or lost any time, as far as I can tell!

Stopped telling time two months in. Slowed first and was erratic for a couple weeks then stopped. Seems awfully soon to have issue. Also the strap is cheap and plastic-y. The dial is nice though and has a sporty clean dial.

Sin duda un reloj de una marca con buena historia y reputación, es un elemento perfecto para el día a día, su color negro hace que sea facil combinarlo, además de que su estetica le permite adaptarse a correas de cuero o nato para hacerlo lucir un poco distinto, personalmente la correa que incluía no fue tanto de mi agrado pero se siente de buena calidad, supongo habrá personas que si la prefieran. Sin duda es una buena elección.

The pictures on amazon don’t do the watch justice. It looks alot more premium in person, this watch definitely looks far from cheap.
The strap is ok, its not as soft as seiko but not as stiff as a g shock, its in between.
The bezel does not rotate.
Watch is legible and the lume is absolutely FANTASTIC! Citizen and Seiko have some of the best lume in the business.
The strap size is actually 20mm after measuring with my calipers.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase, this was a hidden gem. I uploaded a picture on my 7.5 inch wrist.
NOTE: Im not sure if my watch was defective but the seconds hand doesn’t line up properly with 80% of the markers on the watch. Doesn’t really bother me to be honest but it would have been good for them to line up considering this is a citizen watch, hence the 4 star rating. I uploaded a picture of the seconds hand in between markers when it should be right above them.

First, the cons. The plastic band is awful. Replaced it immediately with A NATO. Looks better to me. The plastic band was a bit tricky to remove. The description says it's a 22mm lug width, it's not. It's 20mm. Also the date widow is tiny. A little difficult for my old eyes to see. Bezel doesn't move, which is okay with me. I'm not a diver, and this isn't a true dive watch.
Next, the pros. Quality at a good price. I love it's size (42mm). Perfect for me. Great hands and markers, very easy to see the time at a glance. The lume is great, equal to Sieko's. The water resistance is to be determined. I love the dial, simple and not bogged down with subdials.
All in all, at this price, I would recommend.

For just over 50 I don't think I could find a better watch. I have a bunch of automatic and mechanical watches. It's nice to be able to just grab this watch and know I'll never have to set it except for daylight savings time. The quality is excellent. There bezelv does not turn, but I knew that from watching other reviews. The band is not bad, however I'm going to put a black leather strap with white stitching. I have a lot of other watches and I love this one. It will get plenty of wrist time and for the price I'm not too concerned with it getting knocked about.

This is a really nice Citizen. It's the perfect size and very easy to read. The strap, though, is garbage. But it's easy enough to replace. The description shows this watch as having 22mm lugs. That is incorrect. These are 20mm lugs.
I got this on sale for $39, I don't know that I would pay the $139 it normally costs. Not for a non Eco-Drive. It's a solid $80 watch. No more.
