Should be a lot better considering the cost
The face brush wasn’t very useful and didn’t feel like it was working well.
I had to rewash my face afterwards with something else. Not like the cheaper brushes on the market which are a lot more effective.
I was so excited about this but I could have saved a lot of money and go for the cheaper alternatives.

Wrong plug
It came with a 2 pin plug. We use 3 pin plugs here and so cant use it

Very expensive for what it is
I expected more. Nothing to envy one from 10 years ago. It hurts a lot. I would not buy again.

Expensive set - shop around and check latest Braun Silk-epil models
I'm a great fan of epilating and after doing it for years find that I get very little regrowth on my legs and underarms, and that I barely feel it. That said, this set isn't one I'd recommend because a) it's expensive for what you get, and b) this is an old model epilator: it's worth checking out the series 9 which has a flexible head making it far better for contours around knees and underarms.
The facial brush is battery powered and taking just a single AA battery is severely underpowered - maybe ok to take away on holiday but not much use on a daily basis.
So really all you're getting for your money is the epilator and interchangeable shaver head: they're good, just not a hundred and fifty pounds good. Also, if you're new to epilating, you won't pick up all the tiniest hairs and don't get the silky soft feel of shaving, so I use both methods in combination.
The facial brush is battery powered and taking just a single AA battery is severely underpowered - maybe ok to take away on holiday but not much use on a daily basis.
So really all you're getting for your money is the epilator and interchangeable shaver head: they're good, just not a hundred and fifty pounds good. Painful, but works!
This said it would need charging over night, but in fact it was super speedy and was fully-charged within half an hour. You do need to use a shaver 2-pin socket for it, or have a plug adaptor.
The face cleanser brush is brilliant - really easy to use. I like the fact that you can put your favourite face cleaner on the brush, or just use water, and use it like that rather than just washing with your hands. It definitely feels as though its getting in all the right areas for a deep facial clean. It feels super soft when you're using it. In fact, it's so soft you almost can't believe it's going to work, but I could feel the difference afterwards!
It packed up really well; not too many confusing bits. Instructions are very clear
With the epilator, the instructions say you have to use the beginner's blade for 4 weeks then move on to the full rip! I used the beginner's blade as instructed, on my legs and it was really easy to use and worked beautifully. It does sting quite a bit, but the instructions say that this eases with time. My legs were still silky-smooth a week after use, so it lasts a lot longer than shaving or waxing normally does on me.
I tried to use this on my face as well, but the pain was too much and I had to give up on that - it was like plucking your eyebrows, but 40 times worse! I've docked a star for that, as there is no way I can use it on my face or bikini line. Other than that I would have given this 5 stars, as it worked perfectly for my legs and underarms.

A well though-out and well performing package.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. My daughter-in-law tested this epilator out for the purpose of this review : There was an excess of packaging, but the products were well protected. The epilator arrived without charge and needs 24h before first use, which is a little annoying, it also only charges from a 12v shaver socket, and a converter is not supplied, something to bear in mind if you don't own your own converter.
The face brush arrived with a AA battery installed, ready to use.
The epilator itself is good, and efficient - the epilate + shave (known as a smoothing head online, but referred to as a starter head in the documentation) is a great idea, but you're meant to replace the attachment every 6 months, and they are unavailable to buy online.
The trimmer attachment works well.

Having owned a previous model by Braun, that has lasted 8 years, I have few worries about the quality and longevity of the unit.

Works phenomenally
My wife used it a few times and she finds this beauty set very usefull. This beauty set contains an epilator with shaving and trimming head, contact cups for precision, a facial cleanser with cleansing brush head, a pouch and an well described instruction manual. The quality and look of the epilator is amazing and it also comes in a very nice box so is perfect as a gift.
The epilator works very well on my wife's skin, I think this epilator is a bit painfull but my wife says it is normal for an epilator to be a bit painfull because the main purpose of epilator is to pull the hairs from skin. However my wife's find this epilator less painfull when used while shower or on wet surface. After using this epilator the skin feels smooth and silky and the result of this epilator is almost similar to waxing. Overall this epilator works phenomenally and is a good alternative of waxing.
The facial cleanser is also included in this set, and is very usefull to clean or exfoliate the skin to remove any dead skin cells. The Cleaner brush head is also very soft, gentle on skin and it makes the skin very soft and clean.
Overall the whole beauty set is very effective and usefull. The reason i gave 4 star because firstly, i think it is very expensive and secondly, it is a bit difficult to use this epilator on tricky areas like elbow
